  1. "I'm my own casualty, I fuck up everything I say, fighting in futility" seems just about on par. I'm pretty sure there is another reason for Given Up being removed, it really doesn't have anything to do with politics. Anyone know if China has a high rate in suicide? That could be a possible reason to not have the song played.
  2. What's political about GU?
  3. Wait, so why are songs banned in China exactly?
  4. LPL has been my main gig as of recently. The biggest turn off for me regarding the LPA is the elitist mentality they have ever since A Thousand Suns was released, everything is pretty much an imperfection to them if its not ATS, and at times they'll look down on you for having a different opinion on the matter. LPL seems a lot more neutral, everyone loves different albums and I see plenty of people sharing their opinions in a much more basic manner. Go tell LPA your favorite albums are LT and Meteora and you may as well expect 3-4 responses saying you pretty much suck for it. All and all, you either have their mentality or you're just the odd one out of the bunch. News-wise, its way better here than the LPA. One of my nitpicks about the LPA is how opinionated the news posts tend to be, I figure with such a long run, they'd be a bit more professional about it (I could pick out specific members, but rather not have anyone on the spotlight). They used to be on top of LP news related posts and suddenly decided to stop. All they limit their talk to is music and tours, I was thoroughly interested in LP's pursuit in capital investment and considered it something fairly big in their careers, but nothing was mentioned for that. Chester's STP based tour wasn't even posted into the news section until I bugged them about that. It seems like they are slipping in terms of news.
  5. I'm gonna go ahead and say you're very much wrong. The fact that my friends and I were getting tossed around like rag dolls as soon as the band kicked off with Papercut was evidence enough that the crowd certainly didn't start slow, but they progressively slowed down from there.
  6. What point could he have? Mike invited them to join for TRT and nothing more, the album is clearly all about Mike's life. Its been his project from the start, and considering Mike raps on his own sometimes throughout TRT, this could have been an example of that; the STB remix giving this more validity because Ryu was clearly given permission to throw his rap verse down stating FM would return, but he had to go and fuck it up. Its as simple as that.
  7. I don't think it confirms anything.
  8. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of ALITS. Its a good song, but never truly understood all the hype surrounding it. The track doesn't really seem energetic to me until the final chorus, mixing is kind of weak on the track too. If I had to choose, KTTK would always win. Perhaps seeing it live at summerfest will change my mindset and appreciate it a bit more Currently my go to tracks to listen to are Darker Than Blood, From The Inside, Final Masquerade (both THP and Acoustic), and Numb (live). I usually try practicing those songs to improve on my vocal skills! As for new material, don't really care much for Fort Minor, but I'm pumped for a new STP album! They fucking killed it when I saw them back in March! Very impressive cover, professionally done, and of course those screams are amazing! I actually worked up a bit of a cover for the track myself not too long ago, didn't finish the whole thing (lost interest, haha), but here are some bits if you're interested in checking them out! 10. VLC mediaplayer and Audacity play the files
  11. where do you download the torrent?
  12. Is that even a real question? The original version of COG live absolutely sucks.

  14. Really awesome that they played Darker Than Blood. Hoping they keep it in the set for a bit. Would love a mash up for DTB & ALTNC.
  15. Hoping for an Indie based album! Would love metalcore as well, but doubt they could pull it off.
  16. Hopefully not ALITS, and definitely not MTG. Bring on KTTK or The Summoning combined with War. Hell, I'll even take AFN.
  17. It was okay. I've been to better, lol.
  18. It makes perfect sense if you use Chester's vocals with a live performance from Mike.
  19. The way I view the track is that despite you guys saying its forgettable, that's probably the opposite for the Aoki/EDM fan base. You can easily view both ends of the spectrum by reading comments from Aoki's followers on fb and Linkin Park's followers comment on the song. One side being very positive and the other just complete bitching. This song was never intended to be aimed at us, its simply something done for fun for raves and festivals. If you're disappointed by the song, that's fine, but its NOT a Linkin Park song.
  20. I think I understand where you are coming from. Its the fact that you really enjoy it that makes it all the more personal, hence the reason it sucks when a couple of 20-40 year old fucks talk about Linkin Park sucking since they left their Nu-metal phase, not specifically talking for this site, but in general (for example the Linkin Park facebook page having people attack the shit out of the preview because its not Hybrid Theory and Hybrid Theory part 2). I can understand that because I enjoy their newer material just as much as the next big fan, and I will admit is the reason I'll probably end up leaving LPA, just a bunch of close minded ATS loving elitists. Still, I suppose for a working like this, its not 100% Linkin Park material because they didn't exactly design the beat for the song, hell, I'm sure they didn't even establish a foundation for this unlike ALTNC. I'm sure that if those vocals were used in an LP song, it would receive less hate than what its getting now.
  21. [Verse 1] Don't You hold your breathe Cause I'm not coming down The battlefields have left me only scars And floating in the dark I'm swimming in the sound Of voices that should never been apart [Chorus] Darker than the blood Higher than the sun This is not the end You are not the only One [Verse 2] Venom on their tongues They paint it on the walls Justice doesn't have the strength to hold The higher that they climb The harder they will fall And we will break their bones until they fold [Chorus] Darker than the blood Higher than the sun This is not the end You are not the only One [bridge] Ahhhh (ohhh) [Chorus] Darker than the blood (Darker than the blood) Higher than the sun (Higher than the sun) This is not the end (This is not the end) You are not the only (You are not the only one) One This is not the end (You are not the only...) You are not the only one (...One) (Higher than the sun) (This is not the end) This is not the end (You are not the only) You are not the only One
  22. I think the thing to be properly noted is that Stagelight actually has a sample called Luna. The song was more than likely created using Stagelight just a bit after LT sessions since that was the time LP first introduced their team up with OpenLabs. Either way, the point being that the sample, Luna, is actually heard in It Goes Through.
  23. Maybe at screaming (tho I personally don't care for his screams), but certainly not at singing. He's got a very weak vocal range. Its clear that Aaron and Austin recorded their acoustic version of Feels Like Forever using backing vocals as the lead just so that Austin could actually participate in the song. Aaron is where the real talent is at.
  24. Lol, what the hell is Austin doing there? Dude can't sing
  25. I'm much on this boat, I greatly prefer Dead By Sunrise over Fort Minor. The Rising Tied was never much of an appealing album to me in the first place. Mike's rap flow is downright boring at the time and while DBS and FM are used to convey Mike and Chester's lives and musical wants, Mike's lyrics are way to straightforward and dull for my taste. The only problem I think DBS had was its time of release. If Chester had just released it before Minutes to Midnight, I'm sure it would have caught on very well considering their popularity was definitely still up there. 2009 was just a bit too late.
