Interesting to hear that they were trying to work the shows. I'm guessing that they haven't fully got a grasp as to how to handle the shows without Chester. I do agree that we'll probably hear from them throughout 2018/2019. Take all the time you need.

Don't think it'd be an idea they'd want to promote. I know STP did it years back, but that's because of the situation they were in. This is different. A lot more personal. If they do plan on getting a new vocalist, they'd probably do it on their own.

I really like DTB and ALTNC, but this mix was just meh to me. That said, it's still a nice tribute and gesture. Not my cup of tea, but every little bit counts. On a side note, I'm still hoping Aoki releases the competed vocal stems for DTB with Chester's final chorus. Perhaps someday.

Yes, there will be some bias involved from time to time, but at the end of the day, no matter how "professional" the person comes across, they will give their final verdict on the matter based on their own tastes. Look, just because you can "sing" something like With You or Sharp Edges doesn't automatically mean you can actually sing those songs properly. With You requires strong vocal control. Sharp Edges requires a larger range of singing. One is different than the other. Don't try to knock off one song for the other just because you think you can "sing" it.

Thanks for the shoutout, Rogue. Just got to reading this. As awesome as it would be to have a chance to perform with LP, the different guest vocalists really seems like the best route imo. Gives a lot of people the opportunity to continue Chester's legacy. A tad selfish on my end, but I just really want the band to keep going in some form...

Maybe the screams, but his voice has changed in a way that just doesn't fit the song anymore. No vocal control and his voice sounds too deep as if he's forcing himself to try to hit the song at the proper key. I've seen LP perform several times so I can definitely say that I'm happy that they are actually playing a bunch of songs off of OML. Yes, you can complain about older songs getting dropped, but when you've seen the band perform for a decade or more, then you've heard it all. This is a nice change of pace.
