I know this is completely unrelated to the topic but DBS was featured on ESPN SportsCenter's Ultimate Highlight today with Crawl Back In!

At least we have a targeted time slot now. All that pushing back really pissed me off hopefully Chester is right and LP sticks with June. As far as DBS is concerned I'm not entirely sure what to think of more records. Shouldn't they wait and see how other singles fair on the charts? Idk just bring on LPU 9 it will hold me over till the new record. Makes me curious though as to what they were planning on doing that would take "five years and a billion dollars" to do...

dick move on part of the critics...they really burned em. I dont think I've ever seen reviews that negative. It's really not that big of a deal though, rock albums get shat on all the time. Some of my favorite recent albums (Dear Agony by Breaking Benjamin and Sci-Fi Crimes by Chevelle) got some some crappy reviews and both of those albums (especially sci-fi crimes) were brilliant. I think the same of OOA. I was very, very impressed with the music. It kept me entertained and the more I listen to it, the more I like it. Kind of the way M2M did for me. Krupe, I think you're right on some aspects of the music but I dont get why we have to bash on emo or scene people here... i respect your opinions and youre entitled to them but this is an LP forum and it should probably kept within those lines...I think everyone can agree with that here.

this is a downer oh well. We'll find out soon enough what the deal is. Maybe when the official website launches it will shed a little more light on the situation. I'll still buy the album, of course. I live not far from a Nebraska Furniture Mart and they have it for $8.79 so I'll just take the ad in and best buy will do a price match.

hopefully we arent all getting our hopes up for demos we already have... I think it would be cool if they included: -studio version of reading my eyes -studio pushing me away piano (which very well could have been a HT demo maybe) -transformers rejects -an extension of Lockjaw with lyrics and everything (gotta admit that would be SICK cuz the instrumental experiment Mike did for pro tools was nasty and left me wanting more) Idk i'm just pumped for it. kinda bummed though cuz my LPU expired a month or so again so I have no idea what the newsletter said

seriously though I would have expected some more news on this by now. The album drops in less than a week and we haven't heard anything I'm also still trying to figure out what to do with the iTunes Morning After situation...I want Morning After but I want the physical cd too. And i'm not exactly made of money so I'm not gonna get both lol does anyone know if morning after will be available without having to use the "album only" option? That's what Red did and Shinedown did it for a few tracks...

If somebody has a dvd for Bonner Springs 8/13/08 or Omaha 2/12/08 that would be great

Maybe they release it in like some kinda HD cd, or a surround sound CD! Or maybe vinyl? idk It would also be interesting if the album was one freakin long song...lol or I thought this would be really cool: They release all of the songs lyrics on their web page before release, and they let the fans give the songs titles. Then the band picks their favorite one of each song. That produces publicity and hype and gives fan interaction. So when people go to pick up the cd, they can see if their suggestion made it on to the album! Idk just something creative and fun to think about.

damn that was sick.... i keep thinking of winter or fall when i listen to it...the end of it was the best. Also, Mike mentioned it made creating songs faster, so could this possibly mean that LP can push up its release date for the next album? Or possibly more tracks? Like 15-18? That would be awesommmmeeeeeeee

I definately understand why you're pissed, but lets say LP DID release live European shows. You would be angry then too, and you would be saying you'd rather have this cd. I know I would. cum on man.

Idk about anyone else but I don't want it taken down. I get more news from this site than any other site--even LPs own site lol. But I've listened to the cd a few more times and it has grown on me a little. I now find the cover to be hilarious, especially the pic of Chester. I think part of the reason everyone is so ticked is cuz it looks nothing like the rest of the package. Its something that doesn't match LPs hardcore, serious reputation. And now that we see a funny side everybody goes monkeynuts. I actually like these better than some of Tenacious Ds stuff I think Mike deserves an apology from everyone who bashed him...like i said earlier he's gone out of his way so so many times...he didin't deserve this. And some of you are saying you're pissed cuz you PAY for this and if it is free wouldn't have a problem with it. First off nobody has ever complained about free stuff, and second who said you HAD to go buy LPU 8? It hasn't hit stores yet. How could you be angry about buying something you haven't even purchased yet? makes no sense to me...

btw i know this is my first post...the reason is because i just dont state my opinion as often as most do. Just lazy i guess lol. On the subject- We ALL know that LPU 8 is not what we thought it would be. And since we all had such high expectations (and NO ONE could see this coming), a lot of us were disappointed. Just because this isnt what we're used to doesn't mean it sucks. It's nothing like a record album, but it isn't supposed to be. The Underground is exclusive, original content that nobody else can experience. And you think if it was really good they would keep it exclusive?! These underground packages are supposed to make you feel closer to LP. Although This is not the normal music that we are used to, I appreciate it because its something different-and that is what Mike and the rest of the band heard that you wanted. They put a lot of time and effort into this, and you can't even give them the thank you that they deserve? LP has done SOOOOO much for the fans, and nobody appreciates it. Not a lot of bands go the extra mile like LP does. They REALLY care about their fans. I've learned that from past meet and greets. They make us laugh, make us humble, and we all love their music and their talents. So why don't they get recognition for their hard work? I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the cover art, and I think that is why most of us are upset, really. But its not a big deal. It's funny and it goes along with the tracks. I thought all of them were histerical except bubbles, and idk why its such a big deal. The other stuff is pretty cool too, like the Budclips or whatever they're called. LP is making a huge effort. Nobody is thankful. AND WE JUST HAD FREAKIN THANKSGIVING!!! I like it. I appreciate what they're trying to do and I support them. It's something new, its entertaining, and its something NO OTHER BAND has done before. I'm thankful for that and I'm thankful for LP and the hard work they put in to things like this, so the fans can enjoy a more personal side of the band that most people don't get to see. That's all I gotta say.
