hahninator Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 From the KROQ Street Team email I got this morning: KROQ ALMOST ACOUSTIC CHRISTMAS 2009 DECEMBER 12-13, 2009 GIBSON AMPHITHEATRE DECEMBER 12th: AFI Rise Against Alice in Chains 30 Seconds to Mars Three Days Grace Dead By Sunrise Anberlin DECEMBER 13th: Muse 311 Slightly Stoopid Phoenix The Bravery Metric Vampire Weekend Cage the Elephant White Rabbits * Tickets for both nights on sale Saturday at noon. No Linkin Park this year, but Dead By Sunrise is playing second on the 12th. Anyone from LPL going? The lineup looks sweet...but AFI headlining over Alice In Chains? Thoughts on the lineup? Quote
SpikeMinoda Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 nice line-up. if i would live in the LA area, i would go for sure!! Quote
elpi Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Yeah Rise Against!!! One of my favorite bands, they're amazing! Will there be a proshot of the show? And DBS!^^ Quote
hahninator Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Yeah they always webcast the show Quote
sian18 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 on the kroq website it says dbs under anberlin AFI Rise Against Alice In Chains Thirty Seconds to Mars Three Days Grace Anberlin Dead By Sunrise Quote
hahninator Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Maybe they changed it; I have no idea. The email I got is exactly what I posted. Quote
felipeintheend Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Im going! jk. Nice, because we will get another webcast Quote
MrInfluXion Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) Im going. Possibly going to both nights. I only like the bravery and muse and I really want to see muse. Going to night 1 for sure. Period. EDIT: I heard on K&B this morning they said DBS was 2nd and Anberlin was first, however the email and site say DBS is the opener. Well see... ladygaga Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 i didn't liked the line up, too weak bands for me Quote
LPPRJKT4 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 DEAD BY SUNRISE, MUSE, AFI, THREE DAYS GRACE, AND ALICE IN CHAINS IN TWO NIGHTS? FUCK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
MrJQ23 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Yeah I'm definitely going to Night 2 to see MUSE (3rd time seeing them)!!!! I saw them for the first time at the KROQ AAC 2007 in the PIT. Other bands I'm looking forward to is The Bravery (5th time), Metric (2nd Time), Vampire Weekend (2nd Time), and Cage the Elephant. I'll be driving home from the Bay Area coming back from seeing MUSE in Oakland on the 11th. After that insane weekend, my youtube will be updated with videos. My Youtube Site! Quote
neil Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 i didn't liked the line up, too weak bands for me Excited to see: 30 Seconds to Mars Three Days Grace Dead By Sunrise Muse Metric Mostly DBS and Metric. There's not enough Metric bootlegs floating around, so seeing a webcast would be nice. Quote
lerkid Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 im excited to see Rise Against and Dead By sunrise and sorta for 30 secs to Mars Quote
arbiter Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 The line-up would have been perfect if they had added Muse to Night 1. I will definitely be going to Night 1; looking forward to see Alice in Chains, Dead by Sunrise and possible A.F.I. A sidenote: Why the hell is AFI headlining over Alice in Chains? I hope it doesn't mean Alice in Chains will have less time to perform. That would suck if that happens. I don't care much for Rise Against so it all depends on how entertaining they are for me to sit through them to see AFI. Quote
sublimeric Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 311 & Muse back to back sounds pretty awesome to me. Cool that Chaz and Hot Topic By Sunrise will get to rock some eyeliner again on night one though. KROQ is pretty cool for hosting the webcast, though I'm still pissed they didn't show TOOL last time. They requested to NOT be webcasted. Lineup One would be a lot better if AFI wasnt on the bill they sucked so bad at ulalume. Switch tht shit out for Muse then id def go. Quote
Fran07Chile Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Flying to LA to see the show! Can't wait to see Rise Against!! Second favorite band (LP being first of course) yet never seeing them live. So excited!! Quote
ladygaga Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 i this bands don't worth to me to watch, i like only phoenix and alice chains, but i will never pay to watch them live Quote
Kyoukan Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Diggin' Three Days Grace. It'll be good to get a webcast (hopefully better quality than 2007's) of their new album. Sucks that DBS is so low in the lineup =/ but hey, what can you do? Quote
ladygaga Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 how many songs dbs will play? i bet 8 opening acts never plays more than 10 songs 1. crawl back in 2. fire 3. let down 4. my suffering 6. end of the world 7. inside of me 8. 20 eyes Quote
venom12 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I have hope for acoustic songs, and webcast. Quote
DecanoLP Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Great line-up. Rise Against, 30 Seconds To Mars, Dead By Sunrise..can't wait for some videos Quote
LPxDC Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 the only thing acoustic i see DBS doing is Let Down for some reason. And before someone tries to say fail, i know they have done other acoustic versions of the songs on the album Quote
