easiertorun03 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 They beat me, lol. I recorded the entire show, and the recording weighs 84 GB, but it didn't really improve the quality or the audio. Plus, there are times when the video slows down. Quote

That's crazy probably should scrap it and go with the main 2GB file Quote

easiertorun03 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 I don't know. They might upload a better LP-BIT version. It's very difficult to download a YouTube video with compressed quality. Quote

Ahh I can't download stuff off of LP Bits unfortunately my ISP blocks it but I actually never knew that if u do the highest quality thats the best u can get. Quote
Rasputin 93 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 YouTube will be compressed by default. Doing a screen recording only increases the file size. It's equivalent to recording your MP3 player into Audacity and exporting it as a .wav file again. It'll be a lossless file, but it's only containing a lossy recording anyway. Quote

I can't delete the recording, it doesn't go into the trash. Quote
RentEznor Posted July 20 Posted July 20 I'm all for 'new' photoshots being released (imagine if someone leaked a raw protoshot of something like Live Earth 07 with the full break included) but I still feel let down by not getting the whole thing. Quote
felipeintheend Posted July 20 Posted July 20 First 3 songs just doesn't exist. It wasn't recorded and there's nothing to do about it. I am sure even the band don't have it. Glad you guys finally got to see this. Hopefully they upload the other one soon. Quote

So the festival started recording late. Quote
easiertorun03 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 (edited) Today, by chance, a friend of mine shared with me some of his recordings of the Tampa 2014 show. The sound isn't very good, but I'll be sharing it soon. Edited July 20 by easiertorun03 Error ortografico Quote
felipeintheend Posted July 20 Posted July 20 NTR who films stuff for the festival just mentioned it wasn't taped at the time, but they don't remember the reason. Quote
LPLStaff Posted July 20 Posted July 20 This is simply great. There is such a demand for this type of stuff with the LP fans which is why the box sets have done so great. Could watch performances like this over and over again from any part of LP's career. Grateful Pinkpop released this. Some rare stuff in this proshot. It happens where not every song was recorded, this was still 2007 and even bands themselves were not quite to the point where they were archiving every show they played in full yet either. But it's right before that started happening across the board. Chester is rocking here, and celebrating that is what is important. Always a great performer. Badass show. Quote
Justin Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Really moved me to hear Chester talking about New Orleans before TLTGYA. This show was in May of 2007, so I was home again by that point and would've been just about to finish my sophomore year of high school when this show took place. I wasn't lucky enough to personally see them when they came to New Orleans, but I have friends that were. One friend got her backpack signed by the band and gave it to me because she knew how big of a fan I was. None of the guys are from here, and they've only played here twice. I know they had MFR by this point and they were involved in helping the city after the storm, but they didn't need to come here personally to donate supplies and physically help build homes. They didn't need to talk to the locals about their experiences after the storm, which would end up inspiring Chester to write the lyrics of TLTGYA. They didn't need to do any of that, but they did it because they felt it was the right thing to do and they wanted to use their platform and their popularity to bring more attention to what was happening here. They are such good human beings, and it made me even more proud than I already was to be a fan of theirs. Quote

Thank you for sharing the story! Quote
easiertorun03 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 On a scale from 1 to 10, how good does this improved look? Quote

It'll always be amazing to see a full Proshot program with Chester. That's why I hope the band can always give us these concerts. I know the closest we can get from the band now will be at MTM20. It would be so incredible, just like the band did with the DSPs, for them to create a collection where fans can buy Proshots from 2000-2017. I also understand that for this to happen, Warner has to see it as a way to make $$$. I truly hope that someday we can be here talking about this long-awaited dream coming true. I believe many here would also like that. 🙂 Quote
LPLStaff Posted July 21 Posted July 21 We have definitely shared with the LP team many times that the demand for live shows is very big with the fans and that we fully support and advocate strongly for as many live releases as they can do. Of course it's a balancing act with the label, upcoming releases, highlighting past releases, etc, but Mike said he would want to do ATS 20... which gives us faith they will continue the box sets. I think the past and the present can go hand in hand... Box sets are gifts for fans. I'm already looking forward to MTM20. Today's show was like a preview. Who knows, maybe in two years, the full SS06 will finally reach us. 🙂 Quote
LPLStaff Posted July 21 Posted July 21 Summer Sonic 2006 may be the most wanted thing currently in terms of live footage for the band. Not sure if there is something bigger on the list. If they do an MTM 20 box set, that one needs to be on it. Quote

felipeintheend Posted July 21 Posted July 21 We will def tell the band our thoughts on what live show should be released for the mtm20. Be sure they ate reading this thread as well. Haha. Quote
