Same thing I think pretty much any thing/link that sends me to the JPG view, but If I click the photos on the main page it shows the correct stuff like the Discography but I'd imagine that's cause it's not an actual view of the JPG

It is intended to not display the File pages themselves, but accessing the images within the MediaViewer instead. You can still download images from there too, see the bottom right button.

I know it should show the main image and the other image sizes along with it like before unless that was changed? but it doesn't show any of that not even an option to download it, it just continues to show login required when I click the images from the page about the song or album etc, I even tried it from another browser still does it.

How do you click on the images?

Question still stands @RayGun4200

I just found out that the "LP year by year" show database here on lplive leads me to the linkedinpedia page. Just curious why was this done?

The live guide has been migrated.

To anyone else reading here: Due to some background work related to the migration, there will be some downtimes affecting both LPL and Linkinpedia since they are on the same host. This should eventually be resolved in the next weeks.

Oh I didn't notice you responded back to that. Anyways so basically if you click on say "Minutes To Midnight" it takes you to about the album and what not but basically if you click on the album image inside the MTM page it will pop up with "login required" even if you scroll down all the way to the gallery part and click on those it does it on those as well basically happens on any image besides the images on the main page and discography images since those take you to the pages about stuff.

I can't reproduce that at all. I just clicked on various images all over the wiki, while both not logged in and in a private tab. Also tested this both on desktop and mobile.

A suggestion: is it possible to make it so when you click on the years on this website to make them open in a new tab instead of just taking your current tab to Linkinpedia?

Huh? That's how it works here though. Do you have any settings that prevent opening new tabs on a single click, maybe?

That's pretty interesting but weird at the same time but I tested out it on different different devices so first off I tried it on my main Android well it does it on Chrome but I tried on the stock browser or whatever and it doesn't do it then I tried Chrome on my Android tablet it doesn't do it but then I tried it on Safari on my IPhone 7 and it has the login issue so thats pretty odd and interesting. Makes me wonder if I'm the only one or there's others that haven't said anything or noticed.

I think it might of been that. It seems to be working now and I didn't adjust any setting

So to keep things clear: it only fails on Safari on iPhone 7?

Seems like it's somehow random, because I just tested this on the Papercuts cover art with multiple user agents (chrome, mobile chrome, firefox and edge) and with all of them I was shown the Login required screen

Can you walk me through your process of accessing the image?

Just now I went on linkinpedia again on my default firefox setup, went on here and left clicked on the cover art and it loaded the way it should.

But the moment I went on the Papercuts page again in the incognito mode in firefox I got hit with the login required screen again, then I returned to typing this response, returned to the incognito window and the image loaded normally. I closed the incognito mode and turned it on again, returned to the same page and clicked on the image and the login required screen returned once more, only for it to not show up again when I waited for about a minute and the media viewer thing shows up as expected.

To sum it up, for some reason for like a minute after loading Linkinpedia for the first time or so clicking on the artwork redirects the user here instead of here.

I hope this is coherent enough, because it was fairly difficult to type out all of this, mostly because this seems like an extremely weird issue for someone who has very little knowledge about web development

I just went on Linkinpedia to configure the theme for Dark Reader, and suddenly remembered how awfully the site was performing with the extension active.

It seems that the problem with the specific javascript being active in the background that was used for, among other things, loading the pictures did significantly more than just preventing people from accessing the images.

In any case, it's awesome that the issue has been resolved and I'm very grateful ♥️
