Skipees Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) very nice! Hybrid Theory first logo? edit: Friday August 27th means 1999... "only local show before national tour". Edited July 24, 2013 by Skipees Quote
RogueSoul Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Awesome! A show that's not on the live guide! Quote
Skipees Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 poor Chester, even here it's - Hybrid Theory with Chester Bennington Quote
kiq Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 This is great... and was in the same day that my 5 year's birthday, when I even listen to "music" yet... Quote
Andros Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Nice, I see that not only in this time is "Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington", in the past was "Hybrid Theory with Chester Bennington". Quote
gorast Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 This one's pretty cool. "with Chester Bennington" - damn, dude couldn't even catch a break in 1999. Quote
LPngdf Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Only local show before national tour... I guess there are many 1999 shows missing in the live guide Quote
[AndOne] Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Added this show and the new Xero dates we found thanks to Anna Shinoda to the guide. We don't know for sure how true that "national tour" statement is. Unless that this time it was already knows they would do a national tour a year later, but it doesn't seem that likely to me since it seems they were not signed to Warner yet. Over the span of 1999 they must have also played the 40+ label showcases until they got signed in late 1999, according to the Rolling Stone article. Quote
Kirstie Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 poor Chester, even here it's - Hybrid Theory with Chester Bennington I know, I Lol'd at the irony. Poor Chester, always someone elses' singer! Quote
[AndOne] Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Yeah but that was good advertisement, Grey Daze was pretty famous in that area. Quote
Skipees Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Hybrid Theory with Chester Bennington Camp Freddy with Chester Bennington Julien-K with Chester Bennington (Dead By Sunrise) Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington this is why Chester said he will never leave Linkin Park, it's the only place that he's real part of the band. Quote
RogueSoul Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Eventually its gonna be Linkin Park with Chester Bennington Quote
hahninator Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 What in the world does the national tour bit refer to? I guess that's something we should ask Mike over Twitter. Quote
Astat Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 What in the world does the national tour bit refer to? I guess that's something we should ask Mike over Twitter. There is that one random Hybrid Theory show from Madison, Wisconsin that we don't have a date for. They obviously didn't just drive all the way out there to play one show and turn around and go back home. I'd assume the "national tour" they're referring to took place in the late 1999/early 2000 period, and they probably played club dates all over the place. It's a shame the Hybrid Theory website doesn't have an older archived version... Quote

So we discovered 2 new dates very close to already known ones, there have to be more around these dates too. The Wisconsin venue still exists, why doesn't someone go ahead and ask if they have any records maybe? Quote
hahninator Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Someone should ask. Mike confirmed their first tour though was the Union Underground Tour in 2000, so it's likely they didn't do THAT many Hybrid Theory shows outside of the southwest. Quote

That's 20 minutes from Madison, I work there and I'd love to contribute in anyway I can because I'm so close to those locations. Fun fact Holly Brook is from 20 minutes outside of Cross Plains Quote

I would totally be up to ask about anything The Annex Nightclub, it should be 1999 or 2000, also you can check if they visit there more than once. if you can find someone who veteran there, ask him/her if someone taped the show. thanks. I'll still check, the building is under a different name now but it's worth a shot http://www.rsrstage.com/venueinfo.cfm Here's some more info I found on it now Edited August 1, 2013 by mattyice318 Quote
Skipees Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) i found the old schedule of the Annex, not full and without any news: half August, September and October 1999 half October and November 1999 half April and May 2000 but now we know when it's not (there were some TBA, though). so it was always "two side place" or "two names place"?
