IMO, the only song that really needs shortened is GATS, and by that I just mean the intro. Crowds get confused as soon as the piano begins and its so quiet. They should play the radio edit, with or without Rakim's verse (unless Mike does the right thing and uses a different verse).

I think there are a good bit of songs that are at a completed stage like NRL with Chester's vocals, but that is one song that is incredibly unlikely to be released. There are fans that don't know that song, so why would it make sense to release a demo of it? The most likely reason that this was a mostly instrumental album was because we got THP just a few months before LPUXIV. Next year should have more songs with vocals because we will most likely not have a major release from the band.

I wanted to make hints to that in this thread just to mess with you all.

I think ALITS is very doable, KTTK would sound awful with all of the changes in it. Plus there is Mike singing which is hit and miss.

Let's all be hoest here, KTTK would be terrible live. Mike mentioned how there are so many sonic surprises and the song changes at so many parts. A decent amount would be on playback and the only consistent part of it would be the last mmminute or so starting right before the solo.

On that topic, is that in the multitrack thread? I remember that as you played the game, you unlocked more instrument parts to play in the song.

Many of these demos are going to boil down to just lyrical differences for the most part, Sam instrumental (ex APFMH/Esaul). IBG/Primo is one pair that has a lot of differences.

Mike had said that a making-of would be unlikely. They allegedly filmed everything but he said that one thing that they were going to differently with this album cycle was the behind the scenes stuff and how it is presented. Mike's Linkin Logs from the Carnivores Tour was part of what he had in mind.

I bought it on my phone for free 2 days ago but that was also as soon as I had heard about it. I can't check now because the songs all say purchased but I'd imagine tgat all US customers still can.

Tough one... The demo chorus is so much better but that is really the only thing to it for vocals so I have to give it to the studio again.

Honestly, Core and Purple are two great CD's that I own both of and of you like High Rise but want to hear the band's early days, go for it.

I do that on APFMH more than I do for its normal lyrics, and there are so many different lyrics in the versions that I don't even know what they each are

I finished my finals yesterday, so now I'll be running on all cylinders to eliminate the interludes.

The thing about setlists like this is that they are made of a lot of singles because not everyone in the audience knows the band's discography and they do songs that are familiar to them. Next time you talk to a friend about LP, ask them what they think about In Between or LPUXIV. See? This is why we get some weird setlists for the promotion shows. But that aside, opening with Joe is weird.

That's what i thought, so if that's true, then Phoenix misspoke on that or someone's source is wrong. I knew that the original Xero band was in school together and that Brad and Phoenix met at college (as did Mike and Joe).
