  1. I personally can’t wait for the weird stuff lol, I kinda hope they do an official remix album or FZ bc that would give them some license to go for some interesting stuff short of an actual weird album Knowing how much Mike writes and some patterns from their discography, you know there’s gotta be at least one or two weird tracks, a Mike-led song, a 6/8 or swing track, acoustic track and things like that in the vault from the FZ era
  2. Why is this post written like we don’t know that it’s the name of the song and haven’t listened to the leak all morning?
  3. I agree with this, I'd just say though that just because it has potential and gets big marketing doesn't mean it's not a "B-side" in the sense that it was a discarded song from the final FZ tracklist. I feel like this could've still been written during FZ and not made the album the same way Lost was with Meteora. But we'll find out later I guess
  4. Mike's bridge is awesome. Overall the song is great, I feel like I personally enjoy it more than CTB, but too early to compare to anything else on FZ. I can see that it doesn't really add anything to FZ that's not already there, which makes me think this will just a b-side on a deluxe album rather than a double album. If there's another 9ish tracks coming on a second album, I hope at least some get weirder and are on the longer side
  5. IM NOT ALLOWED TO SAY CERTAIN THINGS
  6. Over Each Other is such a tight track, very cool to hear the bones of it. It’s such a vocally driven song, and yet the instrumental is so fun to listen to and that big side chained synth in HITC is something I never really noticed or appreciated, very cool
  7. I haven't caught it in the shows yet but I really enjoyed that little lick at 1:31 in Stained, idk if it's even him but that kind of bass is so rare in LP's discography it immediately jumped out at me:
  8. Yeah I can't believe I didn't hear this before, very cool also didn't hear the layers in cut the bridge, there's really a ton there also I have to admit that Mike is going way harder in Casualty than I thought, the effects are helping but there's some real grit coming from his performance too, pretty awesome stuff
  9. Im surprised I haven’t seen anyone make “The Emptiness Machine if Rob wrote on drums”. To my ear it’s the only one that really feels different
  10. Honestly any song they've never played live will be neat to have, and I'd personally love to hear SFN at the concerts I attend But more than anything I want more unique live arrangements. I love LOATR right now, but crave some interesting stuff like the Blackout/Papercut mashup or Wastelands/Runaway. I don't think we've really heard any major unique arrangements involving anything from OML or FZ yet for example, bring on an extended outro to Two Faced or IGYEIH that has me wanting to listen to live versions more than the studio ones Maybe play a melody from OML over an extended outro, do a verse from MTV somewhere, etc. These bits have always been my favorite and I loved the crazy arrangements 2014-17 and want more of that, less of unaltered studio songs
  11. And now we know that Pointillism is So Far Away
  12. Just uploaded it to YT, it's cool to hear so much crowd noise I feel like those drone shots are gonna get really old in the theater for the whole concert lol, hopefully they're not overused
  13. FINALLY! I hope this makes it on streaming at some point next year, if not right now to coincide with December Really looking forward to that and the current arrangements of WFTE and LOATR
  14. Is this a second touch up? Because I thought the first touch up happened over a month ago, unless I'm just thinking of the standalone performance videos?
  15. I really hope this leads to us getting My December, LOATR, WFTE and the other songs with unique arrangements right now on streaming. That's what I care the most about when it comes to live releases - capturing the differences
  16. I'm not sure I would call the sound in cut the bridge a scratch, it's more like a reverse sound effect than him actually performing on the table (I'd guess) I wouldn't call the Stained ones scratching either, but they could be. Hard to say without hearing a version of the sound with less effects on it
  17. I wonder if they even have that much stuff for stuff like Emptiness Machine, seems like half the tracks were Mike demos that Emily came into later and spent some time working on before they'd have "Linkin Park production" on it
  18. I also thought it was interesting that felt rushed and that it was called Villain at some point The other cool trivia for me was the HITC scream being the first take
  19. Well a demo is a demo, I don't think it's so bad to revisit sounds that never actually made it compared to actual songs Also I feel they have free reign to do whatever with the "From Zero" mentality The video is so fun, easily my favorite of the new cycle and one of their best in general. So simple and really tows the line of taking the song not too seriously while still embracing the nu metal cool of it. Joe's scratching shots and Emily's moves made it
  20. It's surreal to see Brad in the videos lol So fun, this was made to play at my local emo night, I hope it's huge
  21. We've got 3 titles from the podcast, how finished they are is up for debate but I'd bet if Emily was mentioning them in that context they were kinda far along at least, especially since it seems like a lot of what she did was singing over pretty fleshed out stuff
  22. I assume that new song is Two Faced if it's a single
  23. I feel like the attitude has changed a lot in a year though, and to me there's a big difference between them making any visuals for an anniversary compared to original visuals for a new album. For the small press moments for M20, they can pay lip service to "experimenting" with AI for some visuals on old songs. For FZ, they're gonna want a "hand-crafted" attitude for something as important as their true comeback, especially in an environment where people are pretty tired of AI being used in places it "shouldn't" and concerns about it taking artist's jobs, which I'd argue is a more dominant narrative today than it was a year ago Plus, with them cooking all this at the time of M20, who could blame them for any shortcomings of that art. I'm honestly shocked we got that, Papercuts and AO while FZ was being cooked
  24. Yeah I feel like it's a no-brainer to have it as a single for that reason. I'd love for some movie to adopt it or something so it gets huge, they need their "Running Up That Hill" moment
  25. Yeah it's from TEM, cool the it's isolated though. I wonder if they've already cooked up some demo tracks for an LPU disc or if they just exported some stuff or videos like these The glass being practical is super cool, it makes total sense that their attitude in the age of AI would be to stand up practical effects everywhere they can
