  1. I thought it might be the one later in the show, but none of the interludes are labelled that way on the setlist so I don't think it's there. I think the guitars/drums are just one new medley with that requiem/COG/Numb/ITE mashup
  2. I'm really curious to hear her on softer songs like anything from OML, Iridescent, Shadow of the Day etc. And I really hope for the live premiere of some songs we never got. Powerless, Mark The Graves and Halfway Right would all be really cool to me.
  3. Love this type of content, hopefully they do it for other shows, too. WFTE would be really nice Probably, hopefully we get it from a future concert though
  4. Before the solo thing? He had already released and played shows for PT Also seems like he just recorded with her for the sake of it, but not to make LP stuff. Probably took at least til after HT20 for him to seriously start imagining new LP stuff outside of anniversary stuff
  5. Agreed, I think if there is an LPU demo CD it will be mostly random Mike beats since 2019ish with a verse or two by him, and maybe one Emily song or demo. I also expect though that LPU CDs not come back until next year to create a bit of a buffer and time for more material. Then they could include a lot of live recordings too
  6. Best guess I can think of, maybe different tense like "I'm giving you everything I have" It's a shame there are no longer songs here, I really want a new 5min+ track from them. I hope some of these songs are weird, and I hope a couple flow into each other ATS style to make for a longer listening experience I wonder if the LPU stuff this year will have much from this album. I imagine at least one or two things w Emily to reinforce her, and then some throwaway Mike instrumentals. Whether they'll mix in anything pre 2017 would be interesting
  7. I'm sympathetic to whataboutism and didn't mean for it to sound that way. I think it is legitimate to critique her and scientology if you want, of course. I was mores echoing the sentiment that it's a lot of virtue signaling, and that a lot of coverage and talking points here aren't actually coming from critical thinking but from people being like "oh yeah, I've heard that thing is bad, let me chime in and say I also think it's unacceptable". I think those people actually need to ask themselves why they find it unacceptable, and why they're chiming in on one moral front and not countless others. That kind of reflection gets you being productive and actually choosing your issue to meaningfully contribute to rather than just yell about it on twitter. And yeah I think this was really taking shape during AO, TEM sounds like it could have been on an EP with AO imo.
  8. Exactly, bashing scientology is fine but doing it in a vacuum is ignorant. It has objectively caused less harm than mainstream religions, and popular talking points apply to those mainstream religions as well. Everything I've seen people say about scientology here could be said about any religion, outside of the specifics of her friendship with one person.
  9. Predictions: 1. At least one Mike solo track 2. At least one Emily solo track 3. At least one LITE style throwback track 4. At least one soft song that will sound like something from OML in terms of writing and melody Overall I think it'll be like Living Things in the sense the songs are all over the place and also each fairly standalone. I do hope it's got some weird stuff in it tho
  10. New holy grail: Emptiness Machine original Mike only demo
  11. Transformers One has already been screened many times, I've seen it and there is no LP song in it. Unless they showed a different print I guarantee they're not related.
  12. Here's the reddit post:
  13. I agree about the timeline being tight for a new album. If a new album is on the horizon: 1. Parts of it must have been worked on for years with Mike and crew liking the songs, just waiting for the right time/vocalist etc. 2. They wrote it hella fast 3. The new single (presumably) Thursday is one of the only finished tracks and it'll be quite a while before the final album release Or, there is no new album and this is more of a 1-time drop like Mike's recent solo stuff like HE or Ziggurats. I would still be psyched to even get a 3 song EP tbh, I'm not gonna hold my breath for a full new LP album out of fear of disappointment
  14. I thought it would be a ballad with minimal Mike vocals like Final Masquerade or Lost, but the WFTE comparison excites me. I was wondering if Mike had cracked a modern sound that mixes rapping/singing and doesn't feel dated or trapped in rap rock after we saw the purple images that looks like he's doing vocals, not realizing they did that with WFTE really well. And with how long it's been, I can't help but hope for something that has some really special writing/production
  15. This is the funniest post I've ever seen on this site
  16. No, because if new music is coming he's gonna be pretty silent, because that's a big deal no matter what. And you could still have a new singer for a limited tour, so the idea of this being a "limited run" vs an indefinite comeback would still jive w the original leak being intentional as well
  17. "Be a part of something" is interesting and also has me feeling a bit unsure about our assumptions. Like I'm beginning to think more along the lines of this being a one-time tour or festival run, maybe with a new song or EP on streaming to coincide, but not something that is indefinite. Like, I'm not getting my hopes up for it to be an indefinite comeback yet. I'm thinking it's gonna be a limited run/celebration, maybe with content from fans similar to Mike's Open Door campaign back in the day
  18. I'm disappointed but having fun. That said, I think this is why it's important for the voices behind the LPL/LPA handles to not act like something is definitely coming, it gets people riled up. Unless they actually know something, the tone should be more speculative imo
  19. He's not in LP, whatever LP decides is gonna be "for the fans", Chester and their songs will live on forever
  20. I think it's just generically being used to signify "zero" or "blank slate" for the new beginning. Maybe the character will appear in a new song title
  21. How is that one "known" any more or less than "Fire in the City", 2017 Friendly Fire? I'd say all of them sound like built-out songs, and since NRL is just an alternate of a final track, I'd count the alternate choruses of SIB and stuff in the same category Something I don't see on that big list: Sorry For Now with the demo verse Mike rapped during the PT tour. I really want to hear the studio version
  22. I think we're getting our hopes up too high for tomorrow giving an answer, I think it'll just continue the puzzle w something vague, like the reveal of a puzzle image that will only be completed after a couple more songs get posts like this or something
  23. I was thinking about them playing one or two songs but couldn't think of the venue, SNL would be perfect as you say! Or maybe one of the talk show hosts or something
  24. A few random ideas I have for it having nothing to do with a new lead singer or LP playing live: 1. This is just for the Bleed It Out HD video (probably the most underwhelming outcome possible) 2. LP is gonna drop a bunch of live content on streaming platforms like Projekt Revolution, live in Berlin, all the DVD shows basically. I've felt like this was an obvious move by labels for years and LP has always been ahead of the curve on this sort of thing, so why not 3. New remix project of all the Papercuts tracks as an encore for that project 4. Return of the LPU with the flagship track being another BIO demo and more demos teased 5. Some kind of demo compilation on Spotify, maybe all the demo versions of Papercuts tracks again as a sort of encore to that release, with some of them being new to us (COG demo, alternate QWERTY version)
  25. Now we're cooking with fire. One thing though is that if LP is gonna launch a new vocalist soon, I think they'd have less Chester in their socials for a bit. Like I'd expect a steady-stream of content where Mike or other continuing members are speaking/highlighted, with a few very vague teasers for whatever is new (Mike holding a guitar writing in a studio with Brad or whatever) and then an all-at-once drop of the new single/show announcement
