  1. I think it's possible in Geki's mind the same as it's possbile for parents to think that their child is the smartest, prettiest and successful kid in world - while he clearly isn't any of them. I do think Geki's relationship with the band's music is more deeper than most of us here and a bit complicated to understand from the outside. When it comes to his opinion Geki don't really care if he's right or wrong (most people don't but I'll need a separate topic just to explain it), he's writing what he feels at the very moment and this is why you can quote him today saying "Living Things is the most artistic album LP ever released" and a month later "Living Things is a pure garbage", just an example of course. I can tell you that I find myself again and again reading some stuff that Geki said and my eyebrows almost reaching my hair, but then again this is Geki and you can try to understand it or ignore it and move on. You can't change his opinion and he might change it later anyway.
  2. It's still not working for me unless I remove the "s" from the "https", not sure what's the problem.
  3. I think it'll be easier for you to upload it to somewhere (Mega for example) and just post the link here.
  4. We're looking for more writers for Linkinpedia. Currently, we're looking for two people to fill in two spots: a general writer about Linkin Park-related subjects and another for the related acts which we are planning to start soon. We're doing our best to keep Linkinpedia the most reliable Linkin Park knowledge base on the web, so writing skills aren't the only trait we're looking for. Here's a list of the qualities that can make you a Linkinpedia writer: Interesting Writing: You need to be able to present information in an interesting way. That means you can't just list facts; you have to make it flow smoothly and with a good progression. Fluent English: There are rumors about translating Linkinpedia into other languages, but this is something we can put into play a lot later. Right now our focus is on finishing the site, so your English should be fluent. This includes grammar and spelling. Familiarity: Research is always important, but if you want to write, you should have an understanding about what you're writing about first. Proof: You should be able to locate sources for the any fact you're adding to the site. Consistency: You need to be able to stay consistent with your writing - people need to know if you're on Page X, you can easily locate the same type of information in the same place on Page Y. Dedication: If you really want to be a part of the team, you need to be prepared to help when you can. We know everyone has their own lives and busy schedules, but you can't write a few paragraphs and say your job is done. Linkinpedia is all about building up. It's all gradual - we're not asking you to make this your job, but be sure you can contribute and don't forget your duties. Think you're qualified? Send us an email at linkinpedia[at]lplive.net and we will consider your application - YOU can help us build this database!
  5. Any specific info we're missing from the live guide (Xero/Hybrid Theory/"Linkin Park" first shows)?
  6. Good news, Sweden! Linkin Park will be headlining the Bråvalla Festival in Bråvalla flygfottilj, Sweden on June 29th, 2017. Tickets go on sale December 5th at lprk.co/bravalla. This is Linkin Park's first show in Sweden since June 14, 2011 for A Thousand Suns. This is another place that Linkin Park is visiting on 2017 that they haven't for awhile - Argentina, Spain, and the Czech Republic also being visited the cycle for the first time in awhile. The 2017 European Tour is shaping up to be a very interesting one. With 12 shows now on the schedule it's beating 2012's Summer European Tour which originally topped the leaderboard with 9 shows until now. Who's going to the show? Be sure to follow our Twitter and our Facebook page for updates.
  7. Drop: • Salad Badly - kick it out or at least dismantle it to three songs rotation • Runaway Shortened • Wastelands Bring back: • No More Sorrow • A Place For My Head • The Little Things Give You Away - why not? they can throw the sleeping-pill-singles-medley and play one of the strongest songs in their catalogue • When They Come For Me Debut: • I'll Be Gone • White Noise - yeah I know it's not an official LP song blah blah blah, but if Chester can pull it live it may be great Keep: • Nothing that's not a "must have". Rotate between two or three setlists with at least 7-10 different songs. You're one of the most successful active rock acts right now so all you need is just to justify it. Not sure: * Rebellion - one of band's best songs but this one and Castle Of Glass shares the same spot when it comes to Mike's singing it live - One big NO. At least this what I thought when I heard the Spike Video Game Awards 2012 perfomance of Castle Of Glass, but every show Mike improved himself until the song became very nice song live (Rock in Rio 2015 for example, Mike's still struggling a bit there but it sounds a lot better). Now with Rebellion there's an improvement but not enough in my opinion (KROQ AAC 2014 vs. Rock On The Range 2015). I know Mike wasn't born a "natural" singer and the desicion he took back in 2007 to start singing both studio and live gets an A+ from me, and maybe I'm expecting more because it's such a great song, but it should sound better at this point. Move: • Bleed It Out - it's time to refresh the closer spot, this song's spot became so permanent that you can be 99% sure about seven things that are going to be at the show - this song as closer and the six band members. Pointless to refer: • In The End, Numb, What I've Done and New Divide will have a permanent spot on Linkin Park's setlist for eternity and I don't think there's any reason to drop these four songs. These songs sells tickects and a band who can sell tickets for shows is a band that will stay active longer. Take into consideration that these four maybe overplayed for someone who listen to the band's live recordings, but most of the people who listen to Linkin Park - even the ones who went to multiple shows - probably heard these ones not more than 10-20 times live all over the years.
  8. For some reason I haven't noticed there's a poster for Argentina as well. Fixed.
  9. Good news South America! Linkin Park is coming to Argentina and Brazil! The band will be performing at the Maximus Festival in Buenos Aires, Argentina on May 6, 2017, and in São Paulo, Brazil on May 13, 2017. This changed up the board a little bit. For one, this means Linkin Park's tour for their new album WON'T be starting in Europe! 12 European festivals have been announced for June and July, including the recently confirmed Hellfest in France. This changes up the normal schedule that the band has been using for the last few cycles. The A Thousand Suns tour was the last tour that didn't start in Europe, and coincidentally it also began in South America. Here's what the touring schedule is now looking like: May 6, 2017 - Technopolis, Buenos Aires, Argentina (Maximus Festival) May 13, 2017 - Interlagos, São Paulo, Brazil (Maximus Festival) June 9, 2017 - Base Aérienne 217, Brétigny-sur-Orge, France (Download Paris) June 11, 2017 - Inch even Open Air, Prague, Czeck Republic (Aerodrome Festival) June 14, 2017 - Pannonia Fields II, Nicklesdorf, Austria (NovaRock 2017) June 15, 2017- TAURON Arena Krakòw, Krakòw, Poland (Impact Festival) June 17, 2017 - Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Monza, Italy (I-Days Festival) June 18, 2017 - Complexe du Val de Moine, Clisson, France (Hellfest) June 22, 2017 - La Caja Mágica Grounds, Madrid, Spain (Download Madrid) June 23-25, 2017 - Eichenring, Scheeße, Germany (Hurricane) June 23-25, 2017 - take-off GewerbePark, Neuhausen ob Eck, Germany (Southside) June 27, 2017 - Lővér Kemping, Sopron, Hungary (Telekom VOLT Festival) July 1, 2017 - Festival Park, Werchter, Belgium (Rock Werchter) The last time Linkin Park performed in Argentina was during the Living Things world tour - October 2012, after the Honda Civic Tour. The band performed in Brazil during The Hunting Party Tour, where they performed two shows for the Circuito Banco do Brasil festival. There was a rumor about the band hitting Argentina during the Brazilian visit in 2014, but that never amounted to anything. We don't know if any more South American shows are coming, but with the week gap between these two shows, it seems likely. These lines up perfectly with some of our predicitions we discussed in our Tour Rumors thread - Mexico and a few other countries are rumored for March, but that doesn't workout based on some crucial members of Linkin Park's crew's schedules work out. Perhaps May is the golden month - we'll see soon! Follow our Twitter and our Facebook page to be sure you don't miss out!
  10. Playing Ballad Medley for this show will be hilarious.
  11. Using the same weighing scale - why should we post news or anything that is not live-related since it's LPLive? Since we don't have an option to hide specific sections or specific parts of posts on the site, I'll suggest you simply to ignore it. It's the same as there are people here who would like to see only positive or redound posts from you and find it weird when you're trying force your opinion on the entire site just because it bothers you, but choosing to ignore this "section" of your comments because you've got plenty of usful and interesting ones.
  12. It's a question I ask myself every time we're creating one of these "useful" topics - do the related acts should be here or it's not related? - and most of the times the answer is yes. Even if only one person will ask for it, it doesn't worth more than one thread anyway. Additionally these things will go to Linkinpedia as soon as we create pages for the bands. Thanks AwesomeLP.
  13. I've got something planned already, just waiting for LP7 to be released.
  14. To add something that wasn't mentioned already - I think So Far Away fits to your description.
  15. Thanks Astat this is great. Added to the Index (under Releases) for future references.
  16. You can use some colors for "Correct" "Probably correct" "Probably wrong" and "Wrong", it'll make it easier to discuss.
  17. It's not that easy to take songs that were recorded over ~17 years and put them in order that will flow well, but I tried to make some listenable transitions for a collection with my favorites: 01. Announcement Service Public 02. What We Don’t Know 03. Primo 04. Carousel 05. And One 06. Dark Crystal 07. I Have Not Begun 08. Step Up 09. A.06 10. Qwerty 11. Basil 12. High Voltage (Live In London, UK 16.09.2001) - The best live track the band ever released in my opinion. 13. Across The Line 14. Pale 15. My December (+ Symphonies Of Light Reprise as "hidden track") Total length: ~53 minutes. I left out stuff like Faint demo because it's nice on its own but not as part of a collection, some MTM b-sides that were already represented by WWDK and ATL, and the piano version of My December.
  18. Apparently it's going to be on the upcoming CD, unless they'll pull "Fear" on it and release another version.
  19. We can confirm it, the main post was edited. No idea about the rest of the lineup currently. Fan made.
  20. This is just brilliant, I have never noticed before.
