  1. Looks like regular Set B. Mike's solo was regular Wretches and Remember the Name verses. Also seems like they've figured out DOYS / LFY. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiaJdm2bwQ4 Here's GATS, GU, WY, OSC, Blackout, and the beginning of Papercut. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q00dQ07hjfA
  2. We barely got pit for the shows on this tour with our working passes.
  3. These are way way waaaaay too short nowadays with little to no actual content.
  4. Faint is still really great, the crowd really really goes nuts for it.
  5. I went to 9 shows on this tour including the rehearsal. Before that I saw the band in 07, 08, 2011, and 2012. Here is the issue with the current two setlists and why those of us who went / are going to multiple shows are complaining. I think that these two sets are GOOD sets. There's a lot of Hybrid Theory in these sets, which is definitely a plus. They are playing almost half of their entire new CD, which is good. They are literally representing every single album they've come out with in these sets, including Reanimation. Recharged, and even Collision Course, which I think is fucking fantastic. They're playing rarities in these sets such as Blackout, Robot Boy, Wretches & Kings, hell, count Runaway if you want. There are some definitely highlights; I really actually love DOYS / LFY, and it makes me very exciting that it's being played on this tour even if the band has been having a hard time making it sound right. SIB is a very nice surprise and sounds GREAT on this tour. All of the new songs translated very well live. Chester and Mike have A LOT of energy on this tour. Chester is down in the crowd for half of the show. Mike's solo is my favorite part of the set, even though he's been sticking to RTN, I still find that to be fucking awesome that we're getting some Fort Minor shit at an LP show. Everybody knows RTN and it's exciting that it gets played. I DO like the concept of the show that they're going with, with it being nonstop with all sorts of transitions and feeling like one big song, as Mike said. Yes, it does suck that the band doesn't talk or interact with the crowd as much anymore, but it's something I can get over, they haven't really done it much the past couple touring cycles anyway and I'll take a music transition in the place of silence any day. Those are all the pros I can think of with this tour. Now here's the bad stuff. There are two sets, but they are barely any different at all. WY and POA get swapped, BID and Numb get swapped except that then a shortened BID opens the encore, and one set gets DOYS / LFY and SIB in place of Crawling. The show starts exactly the same way and doesn't change much until the end of the main set but then the encore is basically the exact same. They're not very sets at all, which is disappointing. When the band has played multiple sets in the past, the sets were always very different with completely different intros and encores and songs throughout. It's disappointing that these two are almost the exact same show. There is a HUGE span of time in the middle of the set where the crowd falls asleep. It begins with the ballad medley (which should have been long gone at this point), continues into Robot Boy, which nobody knows, and then continues with Joe's solo, which for whatever reason, nobody gives a shit about. Either drop one of these three, all of them, or something, because this span of time is pretty bad. The crowd has no clue what's going on. One slower song is fine to give the band some time to rest, but two slow ones and then one where nobody in the audience gives a shit is a problem. Now my biggest complaint about these sets, is that the encore is a complete mess. Having seen as many shows as I did, I can tell you that barely any crowd got into the encore. Numb, ITE, and then Faint (or SIB, ITE, Faint) makes the crowd absolutely lose their minds and explode. Follow that up with FOUR shortened songs in a row, with such low energy like BID, LITE is like, 30 seconds long and not enough people know it, ND should have been out of the sets by Honda Civic, and of course, the most bizarre decision the band, a shortened lead single off their newest album, and it's just a complete train wreck. WID is great with the extended bridge, and BIO is always good but should swap places with Faint. Other than those two, this encore is the weakest I have ever seen from the band. Worse even than the 07 one that began with TLTGYA. It's pretty damn bad. My last problem with these sets is the shortened songs. Don't get me wrong, shortened songs are NOT a bad idea. It makes sense that the band has to do this, because they're playing so many songs including the intros, outros, and transitions, and they end RIGHT at curfew every night. The problem is the songs that the band decided to shorten. Papercut may arguably be the band's best live song that they have ever performed. The band and crowd both JAM whenever this song gets played, and shortening is a huge mistake. Runaway is a sort of rare song, so it's definitely a shame that it's shortened as well. I don't mind LITE being shortened, but that song is the only one that is shortened SO MUCH that it's barely even worth hearing that small, small portion of it. UIG just makes no damn sense. BID and ND being shortened are fine. Why not keep these songs in full, and shorten the ones that EVERYONE has already seen?? Shorten Numb, drop a transition like Blackout and Robot Boy and boom, you fit the time slot and get to play Papercut and Runaway in their entirety. Another issue with these sets is that the band did in fact, rehearse songs such as WTCFM and NMS, but didn't put them in the set. They played ALL of Hybrid Theory at Download, but didn't keep any of the rare songs in the set. These songs are so much better than the ballad medley or BID or ND and such that it's a real shame we don't get to see them performed. Mike claims that this album is called Carnivores because it's all about it being a true rock n roll show with visceral music, but then they play dance songs like the new COG, Joe's solo, and such INSTEAD of truly visceral songs that they could add such as APFMH or NMS. It's very odd.
  6. I personally had a pretty great time at the Darien summit, but I definitely understand that it wasn't as good as some have been in the past. Mark, you hit the nail on the head with your post. It is definitely more crew and fan oriented than Linkin Park oriented. The big big problem here is that the band just doesn't seem like they can be bothered by it all. More on that in a minute though. Getting to the venue for Jonas, Preston and I was an absolute bitch. No public transportation whatsoever from Buffalo. Had to shell out a whole bunch of cash for a taxi. We get there and it's running pretty late, I think they made everyone wait another hour or so outside. No clue why it was so late, poor Lorenzo came out to the line a couple times to let everyone know we'd be inside soon. It takes awhile to hand out everyone's laminate and shirt (apparently at other summits you got your name on your laminate? Wish we got that.) and then we sit around for a little bit more in the VIP section. Preston has the MFR booth all set up and the LPU auction table is there as well but apparently they were telling people that they couldn't even look at the items. No clue what that was about. We have a really really long Q&A with Digby which was pretty cool, he had a lot of interesting things to say and was taking a shit ton of questions. Like Jonas said, they started testing the PA throughout the entire chat though so he would have to stop talking and wait to start again. It got pretty annoying pretty fast, not sure why they couldn't just do that once we were at lunch. We have lunch and they start the auction and raffle ticket stuff. The prizes for the raffle were getting a photo pass for the first three songs, side stage for the first three songs, individual M&G photo, backstage tour with Mike and Dave. There was another one that I can't remember I think. We go do our assigned activity like sound with Pooch, crew tour, guitar tech, bass tech, DJ tech, ect. I got the crew tour lead by Sam, who was great. Walking around on stage was really really great. Very happy I got to do that and look at the band's whole set up. Sam then took us backstage to where all the dressing rooms were and catering. He also took us to the office where Digby and Megumi were working and we got to talk to them a bit more. Someone asked Sam if we could look at the buses and we said "Fuck it, why not?" and took us into one of the tour buses. Pretty awesome, we got several activities in one. We then went to FOH and talked to Pooch for a little bit. Fantastic tour of pretty much everything. I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of confusion as to just what was happening at what time for the entire summit, which I think could've been handled better. Of course all the times got screwed up since the whole thing started so late but nobody seemed to know what was going on. The announce the winners of the raffle and auctions and in the middle of them calling out raffle winners, 30STM are doing their M&G literally right next to us. Pretty soon a Wonderland worker comes over to Lorenzo and tells him that we need to get the fuck out of there because LP fans are going over and taking photos and Jesus Leto doesn't like it. So we all get herded out of there right away haha. Band Q&A wasn't terrible, of course everyone that asked a question asked something we've heard answered already a thousand times. Or the questions were just dumb. Per usual, the Q&A is JUST Mike and Chester. Why the rest of the band even shows up to these things I have no idea. Joe was on his phone the whole time, including the acoustic set. The winners of the individual M&G photo did NOT get what they were promised. They had the winners all get together with the band and took a photo that way. Definitely not individual. Meet and greet was your standard LP M&G with Brad getting the hell out as quickly as possible and the other guys will chat with you if you attempt to chat with them. My problem with these meet and greets is that whats allowed and whats not is such a gray area. They say no individual photos with the band, it will take too long. I don't find that to be true, there definitely were not a lot of people there, it only takes a second, and sometimes people do it anyway and the band says no problem. Very confusing. I 1000% agree with everything Mark said in his post, I really wish the band cared enough to do a longer Q&A and give us all their own backstage tour and just be more hands on with the summit. They definitely need to interact more with everyone, but I don't see that ever happening. Especially since they don't even arrive at the damn venue until 5 minutes before the Q&A. Overall, I had a good experience with the summit. Could have been much better of course, but I'm gonna put that blame mostly on the band themselves. I won side stage in the raffle and it was pretty fantastic. They even let us stay for One Step Closer instead of making us leave after Points. Good stuff.
  7. Hands Held High is my favorite out of the ones he's done so far. In Stereo fits really well, would love to hear it.
  8. Replace Somewhere I Belong with From The Inside for maximum jams.
  9. Fixing the current setlist. Keeping it realistic. 1. Intro 2. Guilty All The Same (except LOUD) 3. With You 4. Somewhere I Belong 5. Points of Authority 6. One Step Closer 7. Blackout 8. Papercut (FULL) 9. Rebellion 10. Runaway (FULL) 11. Wastelands 12. Castle of Glass Experience 13. Final Masquerade 14. Mike Solo Medley 15. Numb / Encore (the way they've been doing it) 16. Waiting For The End 17. Until It's Gone 18. In The End 19. Bleed It Out ENCORE 20. No More Sorrow (long intro) 21. When They Come For Me 22. By Myself 23. What I've Done 24. A Place For My Head 25. Faint
  10. That doesn't mean they don't play too many shows in LA, lol.
  11. Brad is notorious at turning his back to the crowd and walking away during the entire show. Strange that no one got into Castle of Dance, at all the shows I saw the place may not have known it but still exploded. And yes, the shortened songs really confuse and irritate the crowd.
  12. Another show in LA? Who could have predicted this??
  13. I had a miserable time at this show, lol. Ended up in the very back of the lawn, where it is straight up impossible to see ANYTHING happening onstage and the sound is very quiet. Had to watch the whole show on the screens. What an idiotic layout for a music venue. It really was not possible to see down into the stage if you were back on the lawn.
  14. Coolest venue I have ever been to. It was really beautiful. The show was alright, Chester seemed tired, his voice wasn't too great, and the crowd wasn't jamming that much which lead to the band phoning in most of the show. Still had a good time though.
  15. This was my favorite show of the tour. I was right up in front and the band and crowd was EXPLODING the entire time. I had the most fun here out of all the shows.
  16. This show was so epic. My top for the tour as well, tied with Mansfield.
  17. Chester shouted at the crazy woman who was at the summit all day long??? Holy shit I need to hear the whole story, that woman was awful. Wouldn't stop harrassing Lorenzo and getting in the way of everything.
  18. Mark and I are pretty positive that Warren took over for Joe on Faint last night. Make a show note of it. Other notes: Chester spent a lot of time down in the crowd during this show. So much that Mike even commented that he didn't think Chester had ever spent that much time down there. Chester dedicated Wastelands to the IAVA.
  19. Fuck yeah, hometown show for me. I will be drinking and jamming all day long. I'm not working the Music for Relief booth for this show but I'll definitely hang around there for a good bit tomorrow regardless. Hope we get to see a brand new setlist at this show but I won't get my hopes too high. Let's party!
  20. Yes, I'm pretty positive it was the first time ever. He took it off during Rob's drum solo on BIO.
