  1. Doug and Dan of Hoobastank once stopped someone from beating up Mike in high school.
  2. It's definitely mine. I threw it onstage at the Bristow show and I saw them pick it up.
  3. I'm more for a summer amphitheatre tour than a winter arena tour.
  4. Anybody know if Chester has worn my LPLive shirt yet?
  5. Amen. It's not available is it?
  6. I made an argument back at you and the only one you countered was the Faint outro one...
  7. Damn, really? People complain over that small a change? LP fans will complain about anything no matter what, lol.
  8. Not any correction, but the show notes for Bristow should have a bit more. The intro to the show was the Game of Thrones theme. Victimized / QWERTY / Lying From You / Papercut was one big mashup. Only the bridge of QWERTY was played, and only the first verse, chorus, bridge, and last chorus of LFY and Papercut were played. Live debut of Victimized. Live debut of In My Remains. When They Come For Me was brought back into the set after not being played on the European tour. Mike asked who had ever been to an LP show before. He then followed that by asking how many people were having fun TONIGHT. This is most likely in reference to how the band has wanted to improve their live shows with more energy and such. Burn It Down, Bleed It Out, and One Step Closer featured pyrotechnics; a first for the band since 2004! The pyro seemed to have messed up at the intro for BID, none went off when the song kicked in, and Brad and Joe and Phoenix kept looking over at it and talking amongst themselves until it finally started working on the first chorus. Mike sang a small portion of Numb / Encore at the end of Numb. Mike came in at the wrong time for the first verse of BIO, so he let the crowd sing it a bit and then started over. Lost in the Echo had a new intro. Crawling was on the setlist after WID but was cut due to the curfew. Other notes: Mike had a new guitar for LITE. Brad and Phoenix sing the "one by one" part on the last chorus and outro of IMR. Some fireworks went off during the end of BID and OSC in addition to the pyro. Brad plays keyboard(?) on the first verse of Victimized. Mike's mic shut off suddenly while he was talking in between songs; luckily it was fixed after a few seconds. Incubus did not play at this show. Chester does the screams on the last chorus of LITE, with Mike doing the singing. Brand new Living Things picks were used! I got one! It would appear that an effect with an Xbox Kinect is used during some parts the show to capture the movements of Joe and Mike. These appear in the background visuals. No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn by The Beastie Boys was played over the PA right before LP hit the stage, further honoring Adam Yauch. The Roadie by Tenacious D was played over the PA at the end of the show. Obviously you don't have to put all these notes on it, but I do feel that it's lacking some good ones.
  9. Faint's outro hasn't changed.
  10. Goddamn that kind of ridiculous unrealistic setlist would completely murder Chester Bennington. Lost in the Echo In My Remains Burn It Down Lies Greed Misery Victimized Part of Until it Breaks Tinfoil They have played over half of the songs from LT and we still have one whole set to see. That, and this is supposed to be fun summer tour, not a "let's try out these songs and see if they work". They can afford to do that on their own personal tour, but not a big sponsored one like Honda Civic. Mashups will confuse us? How? They're a smart way to fit more songs into a set. Faint's old outro? It hasn't changed since 07. The rest I can't decipher.
  11. Brad almost ALWAYS plays the guitar intro for PMA during the second verse of ITE. Go listen to any DSP. It's nothing new.
  12. Then it's both! I'll change my post.
  13. Might've been both. I couldn't see Phoenix from where I was, but I was right in front of Brad and he was singing that part.
  14. Most of these have already been posted but: Some notes from last night's show: The intro to the show was the Game of Thrones theme. Victimized / QWERTY / Lying From You / Papercut was one big mashup. Only the bridge of QWERTY was played, and only the first verse, chorus, bridge, and last chorus of LFY and Papercut were played. Full Mike speech: "Let me ask you guys something. Before we start a tour, before we do a show, I think our goal is always to bring you guys something that's...not just fun to do, but really memorable. Something you'll think about over a time. Has anybody out here already been to a Linkin Park show? Make some noise if you're having fun tonight. This was an AMAZING show. The best I have seen of the guys in a good while. They are definitely bringing it on this tour, and I highly recommend you get yourselves to one of these tour dates. Massive crowd. Wow.
  15. I'll be there in the pit! Let's do this shit!
  16. Setlist so far is Tinfoil Faint Papercut With You Runaway Given Up Blackout Somewhere I Belong Victimized / QWERTY New Divide And Lost in the Echo and In My Remains have been soundchecked.
  17. Shit, Foo Fighters play for three hours as well.
  18. The band actually went back and changed "In My Remains" and "Lies Greed Misery" while the album was already being mixed. Rob had to go back and relearn how to play "Lost in the Echo" for the Honda Civic Tour; he wanted to play sample pads and live drums simultaneously. Brad actually barely writes guitar parts nowadays.
  19. I'm sure one of us will. I can be the official person for that, if you'd like.
  20. Also in 2007-2008, they talked A LOT. Again, they don't have to do that, but keep in mind that in those shows, they did, and still played over 20 songs.
  21. I'm not asking for them to BS or anything, just keep the people interested. You can say plenty of things that can get the crowds going during the intro to a song or mid-song.
  22. It's been said a million times before, and please feel free to argue, but: Crowd interaction. I want to see LP make their shows fun again. They're on the right track now with wanting to make the sets more high energy, but just standing there and playing song after song without saying anything besides the generic "Thank you" and "How are you guys?" doesn't exactly keep the energy up. I've been to a decent amount of shows, and I've seen a lot of bands that sound great (I think LP sounds fantastic live, even on Chester's off days), but don't say a word to the crowd, and, surprisingly, it gets boring. I'm not asking for the guys to start monologuing or anything like that. Go listen to a 2007 or early 2008 DSP. That is enough crowd interaction to keep the show pumped and interesting. Tell the crowd when to jump, when to put their hands in the air, when to clap, have them make some noise at certain points, anything. Just listening to them play song after song does get boring; it becomes less of a show. They just need to get the crowd involved in the songs again.
  23. After the band's collaboration with Medal of Honor, soldiers actually began listening to The Catalyst frequently while out in the field. Chester came up with the idea to cover the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage".
