  1. Not a big deal really, it's the first time a live version of New Divide has been released on a physical format. The contest winner's remix will be a bonus track on the Best Buy edition of A Thousand Suns. We've known that since day one of the contest. The winner of the contest is announced on July 26th and the single comes out August 2nd...no way in hell could they pull off that quick of a turnaround for any kind of physical release.
  2. A couple other working titles Mike mentioned were "Fucking Awesome" and "Chicken Basket." I forget what blog entry they're from, but it was in October. Actually, I'm pretty sure anything this band wants to put out on CD is a "Linkin Park album," regardless of your narrow-minded opinion. We really don't - There's practically zero chance that this is incorrect. It comes from the same internal WB site that had the correct release date of the single weeks before it was announced. One of 2 things will happen soon enough: 1) The band will rush-release the tracklisting as a result of the information leak, or... 2) Management will make all the fansites pull their news about the tracklisting, much like they did with the release date of The Catalyst.
  3. Robot Boy was a working title that Mike mentioned on his blog over a year ago.
  4. I haven't seen the pre-order clip, but if it's 50 seconds, it's probably the same thing.
  5. I'm exaggerating a bit, but I have only seen it once. I just had to laugh at how it was Johnny Depp's first major film and he gets obliterated like that.
  6. Same one that was posted earlier in this thread before it was changed to another video: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showforum=4
  7. You realize that the majority of presale tickets end up in the possession of scalpers, regardless of whether or not the presale is LPU-exclusive, right? I honestly believe that the concert industry should do away with presales of any kind, it only makes it more difficult for the average concert-goer to get their hands on the tickets they want.
  8. It is.
  9. Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street, anyone? *movie starts* "Oh look, it's Johnny Depp!" *15 seconds later* "Oh look, he died!"
  10. Sounds like they're talking about the 3rd track from the 6-track sampler review.
  11. Meteora was a double vinyl, it really has nothing to do with length, just the manner in which they choose to split the tracks up. A vinyl can hold more music than a CD - up to 45 minutes per side, so they could've fit the album on one if they wanted to (over 90 minutes would mean a double album, which the CD version is not).
  12. If you order something else with the deluxe edition, I'd imagine you'll get the other items around album release, then they'll send the deluxe edition later. I'm surprised they aren't doing a CD+T-shirt bundle, they usually do with their pre-orders.
  13. Probably because 3 of the 4 items on that page (the CD/DVD being the exception) are only available at LP.com, at least for now.
  14. There is, the regular CD just isn't on the LP.com preorder. The colors are just reversed for the special edition.
  15. Judging from the ending, sounds like The Catalyst will have some scratching on it. Sweet.
  16. I'm doing the opposite - I'm going to bank on the deluxe box set being discounted/made available elsewhere later on, so I'm probably just going to order the CD/DVD and pick up the regular CD version (probably from Best Buy for the winning remix of The Catalyst as a bonus track) a bit later.
  17. Holy SHIT. I thought the superfan package for MTM was badass, this one easily tops it.
  18. That actually does look a lot better with the colors swapped like that, IMO.
  19. Haha, forgot about that one. Randomly placed poorly-drawn snake FTW!
  20. They have a "theme song" for the X Games every year, The Catalyst is probably it for this year. That means it'll be the background music in a lot of their montage videos, music leading in/out of commercials, intro music for each broadcast, stuff like that...you probably won't hear the entire song at any single point, but they'll use different chunks of it at different times. *Edit* Actually, I forgot they've been using that "X Games Without Frontiers" song as their official theme music the last few years, so The Catalyst probably won't replace it. I'm sure it'll be used more than once during the entire X Games though.
  21. The only thing I don't like about this cover (and the apparent art direction of the album in general) is that it's black and white, and so was MTM. Having those 2 albums back-to-back on your CD rack or whatever...they're not going to stand out the same way Meteora stands out compared to Hybrid Theory or MTM stands out compared to Meteora. However, those crying "worst album cover ever" clearly aren't very well-versed in album cover history. Alice Cooper - Zipper Catches Skin and Black Sabbath - Paranoid come to mind in that department (with an honorable mention to Scorpions - Virgin Killer...look that one up at your own risk)...which are fantastic albums, by the way. Ultimately, an album cover means nothing.
  22. Oh jeez, WHY?!?! Talk about one of the most unoriginal movie franchises of all-time that wasn't even deserving of ONE sequel, let alone six of them. Apparently this is going to be the last movie in the franchise? One can only hope...
  23. They wouldn't release a clip of anything other than the first single at this point.
  24. Same here.
  25. Second link doesn't work, says download limit exceeded. I figured there'd be strings in The Catalyst, it sounded like that type of song already even based on the stems from the remix contest.
