  1. Well, I wouldn't say HT had a lot of technicality, when it comes to guitar.
  2. I suggest to make only songs from the new album of the period in caps Example: 2001 setlist ONE STEP CLOSER And One CRAWLING 2004 setlist LYING FROM YOU A Place For My Head FROM THE INSIDE 2007 setlist GIVEN UP LEAVE OUT ALL THE REST Faint Papercut 2011 THE CATALYST Shadow Of The Day BLACKOUT 2012 BURN IT DOWN Runaway LOST IN THE ECHO 2015 GUILTY ALL THE SAME Castle of Glass In The End
  3. I think Mike said they opened for System Of A Down in one of the first Xero shows.
  4. I totally agree, the studio version of The Messenger sounds awesome, it's a heavy soft song. It's the heaviest acoustic song I know. I think he would sing this way live if he would be able to do that. In 2010 performances he had some raspy parts in the song. I expected "classic" Chester screams in GATS too. But I like the way it is, too, maybe it fits better. NEGTIVITY is way too bad name for the topic. That Chester yells high notes on the "mellow" parts of GATS doesn't mean he does it because he can't do it singing quieter. And it doesn't sound bad if he yells it. I think it was supposed to sound the way it sounds. Why does And One start from the part where he screams only? There's many new songs where he sings mellow parts softly, like Ballad Medley, In My Remains etc. Powerless contains much yelling too.
  5. I think that In Pieces, The Little Things Give You Away and some HT tracks will be brought back. Most of the songs that has "always" been played will stay, like Papercut, OSC, Numb, ITE, GU, WID, BID, LITE, Ballad Medley etc. not sure about BTH, WFTE and SIB. Reason for my answer is: IP and TLTGYA are organic, and contains some more challenging (instrumentally) parts than usual. Well I don't think LP would liberate some HT track just for one show.BTH,WFTE and SIB aren't that attractive anymore. Of course some tracks from the new album will be played, not sure anything else than GATS will be played before album release.
  6. This one, Rob used his right hand to play ride (sorry for my mistake in my previous post), normally (during VD) he uses it to play toms. (I refer only to the first and slower part of the song), While whole the rest is played same way as normally and in the studio version.
  7. Who controls the echoes on Chester's vocal during shows? Like the echoes in GU long scream, OSC "Break" is repeated a few times etc.
  8. Not sure it's under right topic. I changed my avatar 2 days ago and it's not shown as my avatar yet. I remember last time I did it I had to wait long time too, like a half day, but not 2 days. Can you fix this problem?
  9. Wooow, better than F&F, that's the best car movie series of all time IMO, and you say NFS is better. That's a great motivation to watch the movie And btw, I feel very sad that Paul Walker is dead, so there probably won't be next F&F movie that includes Brian without someone else acting him.
  10. Gonna give it a try At least the trailer shows the movie like it would suck.
  11. Am I the only one who thinks the plot of the movie sucks dick? Even the NFS games plot is better, Most Wanted (the older one) has the best plot of NFS games in my opinion. And Roads Untraveled seems (I didn't see the movie yet) to not fit in the movie.
  12. It's not that much the article that have influences on the sound of the album, as Mike's ideology about rock music, that is described in the article. And it's actually just one of the factors, probably one of minor important ones.
  13. It's definitely not like HT or Meteora. As Geki said, it's their new direction, that I think they will continue with for the next years. It's kind of new and heavier MTM. I think Mike tries kind of develop rock music even more, make bigger variety of it. This song still feels like LP, it's still experimental, still contains electronics and something that make them different. What "old LP" fans actually needed from LP was just heavy guitars and drums and rap. The song contains 3 guitars, so Chester is supposed to play guitar live if they don't want to use playback guitar, what I actually don't think they'll do during those "organic LP times".
  14. I think Guilty All The Same will (or maybe is) stand high on rock charts. It will probably raise on charts when it will be physically released and the music video will be made (if it will). Do we have any info about music video for GATS?
  15. It may be no one. During LP writing process everything gets changed very much. One song may become two or more ,or two or more songs can become one. Tempo and keys gets changed often too. etc.
  16. It's only audible on the acapella, I not that sure it's Mike, but it sounds so. I think Mike's voice appears in One Step Closer too, in "Takes one step closer to the edge, and I'm about to break", as a background voice, a lower clean voice than the rest of the background voices. I don't know if it counts as singing but Mike whispers in Crawling, in verses.
  17. I wouldn't be so sure about "I can't feeeeeeeel", "time won't heeeeeeeeeeeal" part in Faint. I hear 4 voices there, 1 a bit raspy Chester's voice, 2 clean Chester's voices (one of them was already kind of backing vocal in the chorus) and 1 deeper voice, similar to Mike's voice when hitting high notes.
  18. I'm not sure you understood me, but I don't think GATS will be heavier/more metal than the other songs on the album. I think it is "average heavyness" of the album, so there will be softer and heavier songs on it. It sure will contain different styles, as always. But think the album generally gonna be dark, maybe not as dark as GATS, but dark.
  19. Maybe he didn't meant more metal than other songs on the album, but generally other songs they made. That's exactly what he said: "(...)This song in particular is a little more on the metal side than ...a...a... than many of the other tracks(...)"
  20. I would like Chester to join Edge Of The Earth during the 30STM set, it would be cool to see both Chester and Davey on The Kill (Cool if they would make an extended version of it). Chester on Love Like Winter or even Death Of Seasons would be nice to hear, on AFI set. On LP set, both Jared and Davey should join on Bleed It Out, and maybe Jared on Castle Of Glass.
  21. I do not worry about those 3 months, we will sure get some LPTV etc. when awaiting the album. In June we will get much at once, shows, HT in full and the album. And because 3 months seems to be a long time, excitement will be big.
  22. I think there is, Mike said something that he wrote a rap section in the bridge, he "thought" of making different rap than usually. Later he decided to do something else, and then his manager I think, said that Rakim would like to write with them.
  23. Sorry, I thought about only one performance (Walmart Studio) where he did just play guitar, when I wrote this.
  24. Guitar or piano track will probably be played from a player or something, just like before, in for example WID. But I don't think least important guitar track is that hard, that Chester wouldn't be able to play this. Is it only me or Rob didn't even touch toms during the track?
