  1. It's Mason Jar here: http://www.enjoyglu.com/god-lives-underwater-tour-dates/ The show was probably moved from Nita's to Mason Jar, because your second link looks like a tentative schedule. EDIT: The show was cancelled. Sean Dowdell: We did not play that show as far as I can remember. Updated the show page. How to make the show red on the list?
  2. Messaged Mace to ask about this show. He should remember, because opening for / losing the spot to open for Faith No More is quite an event. He saw my message, but didn't reply. EDIT: Some of the bands Grey Daze opened for were pretty popular. Like God Lives Underwater. We should search if there are any reviews of these specific shows for every band. Maybe Grey Daze were mentioned in some way. Would be interesting no matter how little info is out there. Maybe some of this shows were recorded. I also see that God Lives Underwater were touring with Flourescein around the US and Grey Daze opened for them on their AZ stop. I should add stuff like this to the show pages. That would make them a lot more interesting. EDIT: There's a recording of both Sexpod and Powerman 5000 from 1997.05.06 gig: http://www.angelfire.com/az/livevideo/list2.html http://www.angelfire.com/az/livevideo/list3.html http://www.angelfire.com/ks/ksvid/video2.html Emails sent.
  3. Or maybe they ended up opening for both Limp Bizkit and Faith No More in a bigger venue. But we JUST recently figured out they opened for Bush and No Doubt...So who knows?
  4. Thanks for your work, Jonas. Everything seems right.
  5. Thank you. Here's the only time I know: And Sean, dude, there are so many Sean stories I have . . . there was this one time when we were in Grey Daze. And we drove out and we were doing some shows and a photo shoot. Photo shoot and a show, out in San Diego. We might not have done a show during this time. But we went out and did this photo shoot and we ended up staying overnight, and I had been married to my ex-wife, and it was a pretty fresh marriage. And so Id just gotten into, you know, cuddling with someone, you know what I mean? And we had to share a bed. And so Sean and I were in the same bed. http://etnies.com/blog/2008/01/31/club-tattoos-chester-bennington-interview-pt-3

  7. Saw this a few years ago and tried to contact Jessica.
  8. So the entire Level 7 thing is completely lost in time and forgotten. How about us scanning through everything we have, maybe investigating some more on the subject and making a feature here on LPLive that everyone would understand. Of course, we'll never find out the truth and the subject is kinda risky, because it involves drugs accusations, celebrities and multi-million companies, but fuck that. I'm in, if anyone's interested. Who knows, maybe we'll get certain people to talk.
  9. I think Take A Load Off was actually rehearsed, but never made it to the final set.
  10. @scottweilandSTP account was removed from Twitter and it looks the new one was created - @thescottweiland. I guess, someone's losing the legal battle. Self-Titlied album is also gone from Spotify. Maybe it means nothing - gonna wait and see if it will return.
  11. According to THIS, Sin City was a 52 week tour. That means all those weird shows we found all belong to the same tour. Makes it almost impossible to figure out which shows were going to have BoW. lol
  12. 1997.03.15 Tempe, Arizona Added new note to the show page: - Grey Daze's bass player Mace Beyers commented that it was a hard show for the band to play, because it was extremely hard to win over the crowd that came to see Suicidal Tendencies, but they did manage to start a pit by the end of the set. EDIT: http://metro.co.uk/2011/06/09/linkin-parks-chester-bennington-it-was-awesome-being-hated-so-much-39674/
  13. Jonas and I added 4 new Grey Daze shows. Details here: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11311
  14. New show: 1994.03.03 Phoenix, AZ, Mason Jar - Lemon Krayola's EP Release Party (with Lemon Krayola, Glass Bottom and Huckele Bones) Source: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200171920207623&set=o.157191491006620&type=3&theater and in attachment. Misspelled as "Gray Daze". Updated the main post and fixed the thread's title and purpose.
  15. February, 1996
  16. I'm on a Grey Daze binge: 1995.06.17 Tempe, AZ, Electric Ballroom (with Indecis, Fliudrive, Audra and Clock People) Flyer in the attachment. Source: http://brethelm.blogspot.com/2011/01/phoenix-clubs-of-90s-electric-ballroom.html
  17. So I was just browsing through my personal archive and I found the following message from a personal conversation with some guy: I googled "Rude ska spectacular" and there's only one result: http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/1997-06-19/calendar/calendar-for-the-week/ That means we kinda have one more date: 1997.06.xx Tempe, AZ, Electric Ballroom
  18. http://lplive.net/shows/db/chesterbennington/20050521 Added note: - Chester reportedly was drinking a lot of beer and whisky on stage throughout the entire performance.
  19. The photo I attached to this post is also noteworthy. It's most likely either Greenway High School or Washington High School. EDIT: It's from GHS and it was 1993 according to the site you can see on the pic. http://web.archive.org/web/20010802210956/http://come.to/Miss.Twiggy So I guess we can add this as 1993.xx.xx, Phoenix, AZ, Greenway High School and make a note that it was a show during an extended lunch break and that it was probably just one of many lunch break performances. I also just found that yearbook online: http://www.classmates.com/yearbooks/Greenway-High-School/255707 There's never before seen photo of Chester smoking a cigarette on page 47. Attached it to this post as well.
  20. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2000andearlier/20001116 Read the notes. I guess we should add this show to CB page. Also, this page is interesting: http://web.archive.org/web/20141205185152/http://www.angelfire.com/band/linkinpark/shows3.html
  21. Thank you! I have an old list of very little informative comments like this from various sites somewhere. I'll post it here tomorrow. They are almost useless, but somehow noteworthy. Maybe we should search for the new ones as well. Let's compile them all in this thread. EDIT: Added some of the stuff to the main post. EDIT: Added more stuff. EDIT: And more. EDIT: Forgot to add the comment you posted, lpliveusername. Fixed.
  22. Video of Chester telling this story during the "The Hunting Party" release show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erp0OYxIfNA Is it also on the proshot recording?
  23. Yep. That's hilarious. Also, unfinished Grey Daze EP is something we never knew about. I think that is what Bobby Benish was recording his new guitar tracks for in 2002 (see "Grey Daze Encounter"):
  24. Interesting info from the recent Kerrang article: Chester: [...] I'd recently left a band back in Phoenix where our bass player had recorded his parts for an EP while out of tune, then demanded that the rest of the band re-record everything we'd done to match the tune he was playing in. I was done with music...
  25. Thank you! So, according to Ciaran, Chester recorded his vocals for Karma Killer the week One Step Closer was released. Wikipedia says the single was released on September 28, 2000, but that's probably a CD single release date and Ciaran most likely mean the week OSC has hit the radio or the music video has hit MTV. Does anyone know these dates?
