  1. If you're 100% certain about not wanting to go, hit me up.
  2. Because god forbid Mike keeps fans waiting to hear the album a whole two days before the album's actually supposed to come out, what a monster.
  3. It's pre-show post season! Mike Shinoda is gearing up to get back on the road for a week-long promo tour in California and New York City, and it's kicking off tomorrow, June 14, at Amoeba Records in Hollywood, California! This'll be a pretty small show, and we all know the small shows often have the most energy. In addition to a performance, the first 100 people who bought a CD from the store (which essentially serves as a ticket to the event) will be treated to a meet & greet with Mike as well as a signed poster. All attendees will be watching the performance, though, and it's bound to be awesome! We're not quite sure what to expect from this show - we don't even know if it'll be a full set or not. Our guess is that it'll probably be a fairly short set, anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes. As far as what he'll play, that's hard to say, as well - we imagine he'll mostly play songs he's already been playing, including singles 'Crossing A Line' and 'Over Again' (which he mashes up with 'Papercut' when played live). The piano version of 'In The End' may be a solid bet as well. Fort Minor's 'Welcome' has served as the intro to both of the shows he's already played (with a cool new extended intro at his Identity LA set), so it's probably safe to guess he'll be playing that as the set intro as well. Anything else is a guess - will he play new songs from Post Traumatic (singles 'Running From My Shadow' and 'Ghosts' have not been played yet, as well as 'Nothing Makes Sense Anymore')? Will he play Linkin Park songs like 'Sorry For Now' and 'When They Come For Me' that he rocked at his earlier shows? Mike's been working on the live set the last few weeks which means changes are definitely incoming, but what those changes are are yet to be seen. Let us know what you think he'll be playing! Watch Mike perform 'Crossing A Line' for the first time at his set at the KROQ Weenie Roast last month. What new (or old) songs do you think he'll add into his set? As mentioned before, Mike's short promo tour in California and New York City will last just about a week. The day after this show, on June 15, Mike will be performing at the KROQ HD Radio Sound Space, which will be livestreamed! After a short travel break, he'll be in New York doing some more promotional stuff, which includes an in-store signing on June 18 in Long Island, a TV performance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, and what is currently slated to be Mike's first solo headlining show at the Gramercy Theater in New York on June 20. Perhaps there's still more events to be announced, too! If you're coming to any of the NYC events, keep an eye out on Twitter - me and Mark (Hahninator) will both be around the city for them (me on June 18 and June 20, Mark on the 20th). Perhaps we can do a meetup at some point! After this promo tour ends, we have a bit of a wait again for more Mike shows. Mike has one more appearance in June, on the 30th in Camden, New Jersey for Radio 104.5's 11th Birthday Celebration (Mark, Dmitry, and I will see you there, too, as well as plenty of other LPLive members!) before taking most of July off (understandably). Mike will play one warmup show on July 28 at the LoveLoud festival in Salt Lake City, Utah before embarking on an Asian Tour hitting Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and more and a European Tour which has stops currently announced in England, France, Germany, Russia, and Italy, with more likely on the way. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world! POST SHOW EDIT: Mike delivered a memorable FOURTEEN SONG performance tonight at Amoeba Records, where the usual set length is about six or so songs from big artists. The intimate performance saw the live debut of three new songs off of Post Traumatic - Ghosts, Make It Up As I Go (with K. Flay making a guest appearance), and Running From My Shadow. It appears Running From My Shadow might be the new set closer for the shows, which is A-ok by us! Fans camped out overnight for the performance, getting in line yesterday. The first 100 fans got a Meet & Greet and those wristbands were all taken up by 2:45am. The event held several hundred, easily, so you could come up, buy the album and see the performance as late as about 4:00pm - an hour before Mike took the stage. Joe Hahn was in attendance at the show, but did not guest on any songs. To give an extra treat for the fans, Mike had an exclusive merch vending machine set up outside of the store for fans to purchase an event-exclusive shirt, a sticker pack, and a hat. In addition, several "Golden Tickets" (Willie Wonka-style) were in the vending machine. Lucky winners were able to receive the Golden Ticket, email "gold@mikeshinoda.com" and receive a signed copy of Post Traumatic! The Meet & Greet for the event was held after the show, with Mike taking photos with fans and then handing over a signed poster. This performance will give us a taste of the brand new headlining setlist, which will debut when Mike visits New York City next week for an intimate Album Release Show at the Gramercy Theater. It will be his first fully solo headlining show on his own (not a festival, etc) and we should see a solid 18~ songs in the set. SETLIST: Welcome Place To Start Watching As I Fall Castle Of Glass Ghosts (Live Debut) Waiting For The End/Where'd You Go (Mashup) Crossing A Line In The End (Piano Version) About You (Vocoder Intro; Transition Ending) Over Again/Papercut (Mashup) Make It Up As I Go (Live Debut; w/ K.Flay) Good Goodbye/Bleed It Out (Mashup) Remember The Name (Shortened) Running From My Shadow (Live Debut; Mike in crowd) Check out the rest of Mike's touring schedule here.
  4. Almost glad tickets are sold out, it would've killed me lol
  5. Mike recently joined iHeartRadio's Inside The Studio podcast for its debut episode to talk about his new record Post Traumatic, which is out on Friday. The podcast is definitely worth a listen. Mike covers a lot of ground in the 44 minutes he's on, including clips of new songs! Other highlights of the podcast include Mike talking about the future of Linkin Park (saying that it just isn't feasible to sing Chester's songs), what Mike misses most about Chester (their hugs at the end of every show), and the possibility of adding touring members to his live show. He has a lot of interesting comments about a hypothetical Chester replacement, as well, for those curious about his current thoughts about the future of Linkin Park. If you want to listen to the podcast, click here.
  6. No openers for sure, I'm expecting he'll end by like 9:20 or 9:30 if he starts right at 8
  7. Well... in another crazy turn of events, I'll see y'all there. Mark and I are running to MSG for 30STM after this show's over, but I'll be jamming with y'all too. I'm literally going to die next week lmao. Here's what's I'm running with: Sunday: Logic @ PNC Monday: Mike @ Long Island Tuesday: free Wednesday: Mike @ Gramercy, Mars @ MSG Thursday: Graduation practice, Graduation, Mars @ PNC
  8. Makes much more sense for a technically new act to go out and do a bunch of events surrounding an album release than it does for a well-established band to already do that. Not to say Linkin Park hasn't done extensive promo for albums before, but ya know.
  9. The shows keep on coming! Mike is performing on June 15 - the day of the release of Post Traumatic - at the KROQ Radio Sound Space! This show is the latest addition to Mike's run of release day promo, which includes other appearances in Hollywood (at Amoeba Records the day before this) and in New York City, including a release show at the Gramercy Theater. It is quite likely this show will be livestreamed! Linkin Park performed at the KROQ Sound Space around the time The Hunting Party was released, and it was streamed in its entirety (as most bands' sets are). That set featured the first true full performance of 'Wastelands,' as well as some other goodies from the record such as 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Until It's Gone.' We'll have more livestream information as the show nears. Watch the band perform the awesome Mashup Intro #1 and 'Guilty All The Same' at their KROQ Sound Space performance in 2014. If you want to go, you have some options. KROQ is holding a contest that you can apply for for the chance to win a pair of tickets - sign up here, it's quick and easy! The LPU is holding a similar contest, though if you're applying your chances are much better due to the (probable) smaller raffle. If you're an LPU member, you can apply here. Anyone planning on trying to snag some tickets? This was the second show announcement of the day, with two shows in Russia being announced this morning. As mentioned before, Mike will also be doing appearances around Los Angeles and New York City in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for more opportunities to see him. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world! Check out the rest of Mike's touring schedule here.
  10. Just wanted to share what Mike just posted on Twitter, in light of the conversation we had a few days ago: "I made a sock puppet video because it took me months to feel like I deserved to have fun. So I celebrated it, and I have no regrets. I wanted to make you guys smile. You deserve to smile. You deserve to have fun. You deserve to live. THINK before you click. "
  11. Europe, seems like its your turn! Following the Post Traumatic Asian Tour throughout August and a series of European Festivals, Mike will be embarking on a Post Traumatic European Tour towards the end of the summer! The first headlining show he's announced is in St. Petersburg, Russia on August 31 at A2 Green Concert and in Moscow, Russia on September 1 at the Adrenaline Stadium. It hasn't been too long since Mike was last in Russia: on the last European leg of The Hunting Party Tour, Linkin Park visited Moscow for a headlining show. Lots of awesome things were going on with the set - 'A Line In The Sand,' 'Papercut' opening, a rare 'Darker Than Blood,' and Mike was still supporting the then-new Fort Minor song 'Welcome.' It's very possible that some of those songs make it into this setlist (some already are), but many surprises can definitely be expected. It's been a bit longer since St. Petersburg, which was the first headlining show of The Hunting Party Tour back in June 2014. Watch Linkin Park's full set from Moscow 2015! Moscow was amongst one of the top runners during the initial Post Traumatic Tour Campaign on WeDemand we started earlier in the year, so it's no surprise Mike is coming to Russia. In fact, Moscow topped the list with the most votes of any city worldwide, with just under 2,000 votes! Other major European cities in the Top 5 include Almaty, Kazakhstan and Kyiv, Ukraine, so it's very possible Mike will be looking into shows there, as well. The show in Moscow will be Mike's biggest headlining show yet, Adrenaline Stadium having a capacity of 8,500. Anyone planning on going? This is expected to be the first of several European show announcements for the Post Traumatic Tour. Plus, we can probably expect at least one more announcement for shows in Asia (China?). Mike's about to hit the road again, with several promo appearances planned in Hollywood and the East Coast throughout June, starting on the 14th with a special performance at Amoeba Records. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world! Check out the rest of Mike's touring schedule here.
  12. We've got one more taste of Post Traumatic coming up before the album drops - another new song, titled 'Ghosts,' which is the tenth track on the album, will be released on June 8 along with an accompanying music video, starring everyone's favorite sock Boris. Mike Boris has been teasing the new video for awhile now, and if you've been playing along on Facebook Messages you'll have received a message today revealing that the video is coming soon, along with a clip of the song. This song will be the eighth song release from the album before its release - that's half the album already. We know a lot of you don't like excessive pre-release songs, so instead of complaining about it, perhaps hold out for one more week until the album comes out! 6/8 EDIT: The music video is live! Post Traumatic is out in just over a week, on June 15 (next Friday)! Mike will be doing a series of shows and events in Hollywood and New York City over the next few weeks to celebrate its release, including album release shows and signing events. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world!
  13. Damn, got 30 Seconds To Mars at MSG on that day, won't be able to go. Hopefully this won't be his only stop in NY on the tour, Camden show will be great though it'll be shorter.
  14. The Post Traumatic Tour is getting bigger! Mike will be heading to Singapore on August 22 at the Zepp @ BigBox! This will be the first time since 2011 that Mike will be performing in Singapore, the last time being at the very end of the A Thousand Suns Tour. Anyone planning on going? It's not long before Mike hits the stage again, with a performance at Hollywood's Amoeba Records slated for June 14 (just before the release of Post Traumatic) and in Camden, New Jersey on June 30 for Radio 104.5's 11th Birthday Celebration. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world! Check out the rest of Mike's touring schedule here.

  16. New York City, grab your wallets. Mike will be at Looney Tunes Records in West Babylon, New York on June 18 for an in-store signing! In order to attend the signing, you have to purchase a CD and wristband combo ($14.99) on their website. If you choose the pick up option, be sure to bring proof of purchase to the store so that you can redeem it at the store! No show or performance associated with this event has been announced, but since there's quite some time between June 18 and June 30 (when Mike plays in Camden, New Jersey), it may be possible that he'll play a show in New York in addition to this. Anyone planning on going? If so, I'll see you there - maybe we can take an LPLive group picture with Mike! Mike will be doing a pre-album performance at Amoeba Records in Hollywood on June 14, so if you're on the west coast looking for a similar event, be sure to try and attend that one. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates, and join the LPLive Discord for discussion with fans around the world! Check out the rest of Mike's touring schedule here.
  17. Asia, you're back in the spotlight! Mike's expanding this summer's Post Traumatic Asian Tour with a show in Incheon, South Korea at the annual Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival between August 10 and August 12! This is the fifth show on the tour thus far, with previously announced dates at Japan's Summer Sonic Festival, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Additional dates in China are also heavily rumored. This is another festival date, and the lineup is pretty intense, with Nine Inch Nails headlining and support from international acts including Suchmos (Japan) and The Bloody Beetroots (Italy). It's been awhile since Mike's been in South Korea - it's been almost 7 years since Linkin Park performed in Seoul on the A Thousand Suns World Tour in 2011. A pretty standard show as far as setlists go, with epic A Thousand Suns tracks 'When They Come For Me,' 'The Catalyst,' and 'Iridescent' all in the fray, but a great one as can always be expected in Asia. While it's been years since Mike's played there, other band members haven't stayed away: Mr. Hahn recently did a DJ set in Seoul in April of this year, celebrating the 10th anniversary of BOONTHESHOP. Koreans don't play around. Check out this awesome performance of 'In The End' from Seoul 2011.
  18. Updated the main post with a list of all the currently announced ones.
  19. You have time to sleep, don't worry. But don't sleep for too long
  20. In case anyone missed it, parties for Mexico City, Madrid, Milan, and Moscow were announced.
  21. The singles-before-albums model is simply just a lot more effective than releasing one or two singles before an album. Like any industry, the music industry is fluid. That's why streaming became the dominant platform and vinyl is on a comeback. Things change. And while I can't say anything for certain, the band worked on MTM for ages. It was meant to be a big, if not surprising comeback. Dropping a single then the album coming out shortly thereafter is riding off the coattails of that hype. And in the case of Post Traumatic, the album wasn't even finished until early this month. That means from May 12 to June 15, they have just over a month to make the CDs, make the vinyls, get the packages set, get the advertisements ready, get it all shipped, get all of that set up internationally, and so forth. It only makes sense for Post Traumatic to have this drawn out cycle because Mike's still technically a developing new artist. Sure, he's in Linkin Park. That doesn't mean all the millions of fans LP has will go out of their way to listen to his music. He has to build a new audience and there's loads of behind-the-scenes stuff he has to do to make sure the album is ready for release day. And if you don't like pre-release tracks, then its up to you to not listen to them. Do what Mark does, just hold out. Just because they're released doesn't mean you're obligated to listen to them.
  22. As per an email, added a partial setlist to 2000.09.18 01. Cure For The Itch 02. Papercut xx. One Step Closer (closing track)
  23. LPU members, its your time. Mike's debut album Post Traumatic is out on June 15, and YOU have the chance to listen to it first. Mike will be hosting an LPU Listening Party on May 30th in Los Angeles. More global listening parties will be announced within the next week. Where would you like to see one held? Some of you have participated in listening parties before and have sent in great reviews and pictures from your experiences. LPU Members can sign up on the LPU site to be chosen to be part of the listening party. You'll be entered in a lottery and be given the chance to attend - you'll receive more details from there. Be sure to join the LPU if you haven't already, as you'll still get pre-sale access to Mike's upcoming tour dates. Mike finished the record earlier this month, in the days just before he performed on May 12. He held the first listening party on May 23, guests including Lisa Ling, Ben Hundreds, Boonn, Frank Maddocks, and more (as per his Instagram post). The following Listening Parties have been announced: Grimbergen, Belgium: June 7 Hamburg, Germany: June 5 Helsinki, Finland: June 6 Los Angeles, California: May 30 Madrid, Spain: June 6 Melbourne, Australia: June 7 Mexico City, Mexico: June 7 Milan, Italy: June 7 Moscow, Russia: June 7 Selangor, Malaysia: June 8 Stockholm, Sweden: June 11 Vienna, Austria: June 4 Anyone going to try and go? Post Traumatic will be here very very soon, so be sure to pre-order it if you haven't already.
