  1. I agree that "Guilty All The Same" has heavy metal and punk rock influences, but I wouldn't call it a heavy metal song. There's songs on Hybrid Theory with a lot more rapping. Most of POA is just Chester. I always felt like this song had a lot of U2 influence. I remember when the album first came out people were saying it was a rip off of "With Or Without You". What do you mean by "emo"? If you're saying this song has emotional lyrics then yes, most of LP's songs does. If you're saying it sounds like MCR then hell no! Sorry but I fail to see how No More Sorrow is a punk rock song. I think "alternative metal" would fit better. Have you ever heard of Beastie Boys and Run-D.M.C.?They are definitely not nu-metal. Korn is often referred as the creators of nu-metal and you don't hear any rapping on their songs (with the exception of some collaborations).
  2. I think "Powerless" should be on the list. The band obiously thinks of it as an official music video (at least the Power The World version). I remember reading an interview where Chester said something like "we are shooting music videos for Lost In The Echo and Powerless". There was an announcement for the release of the video and I remember they even sent e-mails for some people (LPU members?) with the link for the video so these people would be the first to watch it. Official links: Power The World version
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November's_Chopin Edit: Added "A Light That Never Comes (Coone Remix)".
  4. Linkin Park working with Mike Patton or Paul McCartney would be so epic. Meh. These guys suck. Bring Mark back!
  5. Standing In The Middle "Standing In The Middle" too. There's two BMI entries for the song. The first entry (probably created when the song was recorded) credits only Mike Shinoda, Motion Man and KutMasta Kurt. The second one (created when the song was released on LPU 4.0) credits only the Linkin Park members. I always thought of "Standing In The Middle" as an outtake from this album.
  6. I've heard this sample on a TV commercial and thought it was taken from "Believe Me".
  7. I just noticed this is also a clean edit.
  8. I've heard Breaking The Habit from Live 8.
  9. I think these would be nice to hear too: Technique (Original Long Version) Machine Shop Mixtape song When They Come For Me (Original/Without NoBraiN) Jornada Del Muerto (NoBraiN Version) Until It Breaks (Demo No.4) Tinfoil (Powerless Longform Demo) Xero demo (Chester's Take): - Rhinestone - Reading My Eyes - Fuse - Stick N Move
  10. If Vice says it was released in 2002 then it was released in 2002. Period. Was this a link to the full mixtape?Anyone downloaded it? The person who took this picture (lperocker) lost the CD case.
  11. A Beautiful Lie is their best album. The self-titled has some pretty good songs too but I don't think they will play anything from it.
  12. Makes sense. We haven't heard anything about The Mall in a long time. Who knows if we will ever see it?I think it's something we could ask about on the next chat.
  13. Alec Püre of Deadsy worked with Linkin Park on The Mall soundtrack.
  14. Missing Owen Pallett (Les Mouches, Enter the Haggis, Picastro) on "I'll Be Gone". We Made It Ok, you're right.
  15. In this case, he should list all "A Light That Never Comes" performances.
  16. X-Ecutioner Style Remix I think you can't find it anywhere.David Campbell worked on 6 songs for Minutes To Midnight ("Leave Out All the Rest", "Shadow of the Day", "Hands Held High", "The Little Things Give You Away", "No Roads Left", and "Blackbirds"). You can even hear a clip of "Blackbirds" during the Making Of. Edit: Both Marilyn Manson and Madonna Wayne Gacy (Marilyn Manson) are credited for keyboards on "Buy Myself". Tim Sköld (Shotgun Messiah, KMFDM, and Marilyn Manson) co-produced "Buy Myself" with Mike Shinoda. DJ Revolution and Troy Staton are credited for editing and mixing (respectively) "H! Vltg3".
  17. He also recorded with Daddy X and Tinsley Ellis but I think he was never an official member of any of these bands.
  18. Rakim was part of a duo called "Eric B. & Rakim". You can hear Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit repeating some lines of "Crawling" from the second day of Rock Im Park 2001. NoBraiN also did additional production on "When They Come For Me". Stephen Carpenter of Deftones plays guitar on "By_Myslf". Doug Trantow was programmer, producer, and engineer on "Pts.OF.Athrty". Roc Raida (X-Ecutioners) on "X-Ecutioner Style". Sean C. (a DJ) produced "X-Ecutioner Style". Greg Kurstin of The Bird and the Bee plays keyboards on "MyMichael Fitzpatrick of Fitz and The Tantrums worked with Mickey Petralia on "My Edit: If you want to add J. Robert Oppenheimer, Mario Savio and Martin Luther King, Jr. you would have to add Mr. Eon of The High & Mighty (for She Couldn't), the guys from Brand Nubian (for H! Vltg3), etc... I agree with xLinkinpark0562x. We shouldn't list samples. Edit 2: We have 2 titles for the Does It Offend You, Yeah? remix of The Catalyst: The Catalyst (''Bobby Bloomfield'' DIOYY? Remix) - The Catalyst EP The Catalyst (''Guitarmagedon'' Does It Offend You, Yeah? Remix) - Waiting For The End single From the first title, we can assume only Rob Bloomfield worked on the remix. Edit 3: Remix.
  19. Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) 02.06.2001 Nürnberg, Germany, Eishalle, Rock im Park - Crawling
  20. They haven't played Death Of Seasons since 2010.They are playing Just Like Heaven (by The Cure). I was thinking it would be nice if Mike would join them to finally perform a full version of the song.
  21. Davey Havok on One Step Closer again? Maybe Victimized with both Davey and Chester screaming. On their current tour, AFI had some guests during Kill Caustic. I would love to see Chester singing it with AFI. Live premiere of Roads Untraveled with guest vocals from Jared Leto. I can imagine him doing this because all the "ooooooooooh" shit 30STM also have on their songs. Would be interesting. Would be awesome if Rakim would join Linkin Park for Guilty All The Same. I can also imagine Jade Puget doing a guitar solo or Shannon Leto playing drums during Linkin Park's set.
  22. There's an official extended version of A Light That Never Comes which was uploaded to Steve Aoki's SoundCloud page. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopi...st&p=208833
  23. Was already on "Crawling". But ok. Added to "Blue". Can you (or any other moderator) try to do it?
