If there is a stream would be a legitimate question for a festival but not for a small show or usual headline show. There are always official announcements well ahead of time.

Most of the summer festival line ups have been announced by now. Heineken Jammin seems complete to me. Of course it would be logical to tour in Europe between March and August, but so far it's pointing into the direction that this is not happening.

Especially festival crews HATE any kinds of rockstar drama. They are really glad when the schedule goes through quite smoothly. Axl Rose is probably the unbeaten king in this category. I don't know if it was a festival but it was some GNR show at the time they were supposed to hit the stage Axl was still asleep in his hotel room lol. I hope they keep APFMH and really bring it for the festivals. Last year showed they are able to do solid festival setlists.

There's 2 big differences. 1) LP was the last band to play the main stage at Pinkpop that day so it's no big deal if they play a little longer 2) at Soundwave they have an almost seemless switch over to the next band. if the played 15 minutes longer, Metallica would start 15 minutes later. It would be a huge problem if a band doesn't keep their time slot.

LP probably could give it away for free if they wanted but don't forget that this show was also in cinemas in the US. I don't know what's in this contract or what's "normal" for contracts like this case but my guess is that it's "complicated" enough (rights wise) to not release it as a DSP. We know that for example financial conflicts in the past prevented DSPs from being released. Also LP doesn't seem to be much into giving away shows/DSPs for free. Moscow was part of the promotion for Iridescent.

I saw LP, Metallica and the Offspring last year at Rock im Park, and I was able to see all of them because each played on a different day. I think Soundwave has too many bands on too many stages. Too many bands overlapping. All the stages even finish at the same time. I know it's not a full blown festival but it should be one. So most of the big bands are on Stage 1 and 2. And tons of other small bands on 4 other stages. Who's going to watch all those when most people come for the headliners?

There's probably a contract that regulates all this that prevents them (Streetgigs) from a future release/download and limits the broadcasting rights to only a few airing of the show.

All the other bands before them have even shorter set times, (even Offspring on the other big stage gets only 1 hour) the only reason metallica is playing more than 2 hours because they are metallica and can pull off a 2 hour set and probably demand that as a headliner.

The guy in the OP is talking about legends but doesn't mention a band like the Beatles? I kinda grew up listening to the beatles and they are far more legendary in my opinion than Kiss, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi together.
