  1. I agree. I'm not sure who they are trying to market to with these "urban/street/hip/artsy/fashion-centric" merch items. I've never known any LP fans (let alone any music fan) that gave a shit what kind of shirt their design was printed on etc. It all seems kinda trendy and pretentious. Not digging the direction LP has been going with their merch since THP. Raised prices for items that other bands sell for less. I guess they can get away with it though because a ton of fans blindly buy their stuff without a second thought. As cool as the vinyl idea was, i'm gonna pass.
  2. I just figured if anyone knew about it, it would be you guys lol. Couldn't find the search function on here so I just posted it. That's pretty impressive if someone can notice that such a small detail has been a visual element for a few years. I don't know how you guys stay on top of such minute details
  3. alrighty then. false alarm
  4. Shows up at 1:31 in this video at River CIty Rockfest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAw6f7uyTyY
  5. Saw this on the Fort Minor subreddit and thought this was interesting. Maybe most of you have seen this already but here it is: http://www.reddit.com/r/Fort_Minor/comments/36p1f8/when_mike_was_preforming_remember_the_name_at_the/
  6. Surprised it took me this long to find someone mentioning this. You guys know how it goes every promo cycle, Mike just fucks with everyone because it gets people talking. Highly highly doubt he's getting rid of the Fort Minor brand. Stop over thinking it guys
  7. Just wanted to chime in and say that from what i've seen of the webcast, Ben did great. I prefer the way he played ALITS compared to Brad. Even though the volume was lower, the solo seemed much tighter. Bu that's just my musically uneducated opinion. First part of the set is killer too. A few changes down the line would really make it that much better.
  8. A Line In The Sand needs to stay in the setlist at least for a North American run of dates. That was WAY too killer! The way the energy just builds in that song is so good. LP is really on fire tonight. Must feel good to be back in front of the crowd!
  9. Oh man, I've been very cynical about the setlists lately so this is a very welcome surprise! These guys know exactly how to pull me back in to the fold. This is going to be awesome for all the hardcore fans in attendance tonight!
  10. Yeah I agree. I hope everything is ok. What a weird way to start a tour. Bummed for the fans and for the band. Nobody wins in a situation like this..
  11. What the hell kind of issues can arise from posting a setlist!?
  12. I know. I guess I could use a break to catch my breath during the song ha!
  13. Ballad Medley / What I've Done / Burn It Down, Please GTFO my setlists!! #linkinnark
  14. Whaaaaaat!? you must be crazy! haha I'd love to see Burning In The Skies live. SO sad I missed the only LA date they played it at. I'd be ok with this switch because I've been lucky enough to see Blackout a couple of times. On another note, here is my personal and early list for songs that need to take a break: Numb Breaking The Habit What I've Done Numb Breaking The Habit Numb What I've Done Numb/BTH/WID lulz.
  15. After some time to sit and think about it, I honestly think that's what made me disappointed in the song. Not so much the song itself (although I still think it's a bit meh). I guess you sometimes can't help but have your judgement and impressions clouded by the artist's own thoughts and opinions.
  16. It blows my mind that we've come to a point in music that "It's a single" could be considered a worthy defense of a song. There's no other genre besides popular music that you will hear that statement thrown around. You don't hear fans of metal, underground hip hop, or classical say "oh well, yeah, I mean, it's a single so what did you expect?"
  17. I am well aware that hell would freeze over before we get anything close to a metal record by the band. However, I think guilty All The Same is amazing and I expected this song to have that similar "oomph" and aggression. Like I said, I guess i'm more bothered by Mike's incessant hype (to be fair, he's not going to go out and say the album is weak). It'd be fine if he said they wanted to make a more aggressive record but to passive aggressively call out other artists and release a song that sounds like everything else they've done is kind of lame. I can see how my post implies that I think the album is going to be weak though. I didn't think my post through too well haha.
  18. I'm not really feeling this one. Sounds like your typical by the numbers radio friendly LP song. I think what makes my disappointment worse was all the shit that Mike has been talking in the media. He's been hyping up the record to be loud and aggressive while slamming the music being played on the radio and then they go and release a song like this. I guess it didn't help that LPA hyped this song up to be some grand opus. Mike was right about one thing though, this ain't a Meshuggah or Botch record so far.
  19. Oh come on, you can't really believe that...
  20. Woo! Monday! That's sooner than I expected! Also, are BBC premieres favored because it's the easiest time zone to work with?
  21. Maybe not 2 singles but we've had 2 song releases before an album drop. Case in point: The Catalyst/Wretches and Kings, and Burn It Down/Lies Greed Misery. I wanna say they released a second song afer What I've Done but I don't really remember. I recall hearing most of Given Up before release though. That might have been a leak though.
