I think that when anyone puts a piece of art out there for the world to see, they should be aware that not everyone is going to enjoy it. Artists shouldn't be immune to criticism. Just take a look at all the people that think LP's music is terrible. The band doesn't care, they just keep on making music that they enjoy. My point in expressing my opinion of this persons art was to do just that, express an opinion, not to potentially damage their personality or anything else. And as a disclaimer: I didn't take part in this contest. I have no artistic skill.

This is going to be harsh so I apologize in advance but: I am more upset at the fact that the winning entry is terrible as opposed to them not following the rules. Sure, breaking the rules is BS and he should be disqualified but honestly, I think other entries deserved to win. There are some fantastic pieces that if they were to have been shown to me, I would've believed it was official artwork done by the band or someone involved with them. Hopefully this gets sorted out. I can see this discouraging a lot of people from wanting to participate in future contests like this. edit: I know I sound like a jerk concerning my opinion of the winning piece but come on! >.<

Wow Disturbed and BFMV are playing before them? That's like "Introduction to Hard Rock 101" right there. Let's hope LP can step it up for those people in the crowd. At least they aren't Playing before (or after for that matter) heavier bands otherwise things have the potential to get ugly. lol

I totally forgot about that! Dave said he hates when bands use backing tracks live. He specifically called out Motley Crue and LP. Ha, I would be a little sour if a band said something like that about my band and then played before me and possibly took a cheap shot at me from the stage. Nobody will ever know the real circumstances though.

I got excited that they wouldnt play Iridescent for a second but I forgot "the fans LOVE it live". 0_0 Aaaanyway, kinda glad I didn't get tickets to this after all. I'd be seeing the same basic setlist all over again, not to mention I personally don't think they are performing to their full potential tonight.

They're sounding a little rough around the edges. Those three months off knocked them out of their groove a little.

I found that using the pop out player worked. Once it started streaming on the pop out player, refresh your main browser and it should be working in both windows and you can choose which window you want to keep running.

I don't think that would be a good way to get the crowd hyped up. They gotta open with an explosive song. Papercut is always an excellent choice for an opener.

I wish I was going. couldn't snag tickets. oh well! P.S. I can't believe this is my first post. I thought I registered here a long time ago. 0_o
