  1. If Mike is lurking this thread he definitely knows.... 1. How much Legend jizzes his pants when watching High Voltage live from London in 2001 2. How much we want them to play High Voltage again
  2. I do agree with this. Not a big fan of Blackbirds. I think it's a pretty weak MTM demo that should've been left alone. It doesn't do much for me at all. I'm not a big fan of Not Alone either...but I love Across The Line. New Divide was so radio friendly in my opinion at first but I love it now. After I saw it live, I had a lot more respect for New Divide.
  3. I need to call in Astat for a full explanation of the entire Points Of Authority demo situation, lol.
  4. That's one of the best song performances they have ever done. Damn LP just totally brought it on HV at that show. Brad sounds excellent with the guitar parts. What an awesome mix. You know this show was filmed to be a DVD release, right? But it never happened...that was going to be LP's first DVD is what we were told. Mike is just all over the stage. 2:15 when the heavier guitar part comes in <3 There is just so much raw emotion in that performance - Chester is even singing his echo parts...he never does that anymore. I love that song. I've been listening to this performance since I was like 12 years old lol, used to have it on a mix CD in an old portable CD player.
  5. I'm going to both. Why are you only going to 1? It's only like 40-something euro for a ticket... go to both. I'm sure they'll play totally different shows.
  6. I want seats because my girlfriend is coming and will want to sit down throughout the show. I might take advantage of that too...I'll get pit for the USA shows but for London I want seats. Heck yeah I looked at night 1 yesterday and they had block 101 tickets. But it was like seat 22 which is REALLY close to the stage, almost parallel. I think I need the next block over or maybe a further from the stage seat in block 101 so I can get a great view of the stage. It'd be sweet if I could get similar tickets for both nights.
  7. LOL QFT for sure. God damn High Voltage (Remix) is soooooooooo dirty. This. Wow. Top 3 tracks I want to see on the next tour: Across The Line (one of LP's best songs; should've been on MTM), High Voltage (Remix), and A Place For My Head (since I've never seen it).
  8. Yeah I believe they only came out on BIO whenever it was closing the show. OSC had it too when it closed the show but they didn't extend it or anything, lol. So weird.
  9. Please don't open with OSC. It's soooo much better closing. Reani bridge, Reani intro and the extended outro...oh shit. It'd be so sweet. I really don't see OSC in the rotating setlists. This is a big touring cycle so I do see LP using the rotating setlists again. I hope they start in Europe but they might not....I dunno. I certainly think they would lol. I don't see Don't Stay being played again in a very long time. I doubt they'd open with any MTM songs.
  10. It's not an LP song without the word "lies" in it. I was in pure shock at Not Alone
  11. Trying really fucking hard to get a recording of the show, but it's like, impossible I remember nkramar asking me one day in early 2007... "If you could choose, which show would you rather have - Mountain View 04 or Music For Relief 05?" I answered Mountain View 04 and a month later I get an email randomly saying this dude has the full show, and bam there it goes across the web once we get it uploaded. How badass. I still wonder what would've happened if I said MFR, lol. Karma!
  12. Ok, the Promo Tour for MTM had Given Up, No More Sorrow and What I've Done at the first few shows. Then Bleed It Out was added for the last like, 4 shows. So 4 new songs. LOATR and TLTGYA were on the European Tour, not the Promo Tour. I do not see either Blackbirds or Across The Line being played at all. The only one I see being played is possibly Not Alone. I hate to say that too because I don't like Not Alone that much and I LOVE Across The Line. ATL is one of their best songs ever in my opinion....I'd love to see them try it live. Euro Tour 2010 I say has 4-5 new songs.
  13. Live tracks I wish were released? I say the entire fucking Mountain View 04 show in a DSP and Music For Relief 2005. Give me those and I'll never bitch again lol. Would be nice to have another PR04 show too so we get Jon/Bert/Snoop. A show with all 3 of them would be O_O

    QWERTY

I wouldn't rule out the HTEP fully yet.... LP did RME in 06 and 08, I think they might do Step Up or And One someday again.
  15. Well, they did. In 2007 for the promo shows and the first tour (European Tour) they opened with One Step Closer. After Berlin I was like WTF and said that was the worst idea ever. I finally saw OSC open and I know it's a riot and I liked it, but I really prefer it closing. Anyway on PR07 they had 3 setlists with 3 different openers - OSC, No More Sorrow and Wake/Given Up. That continued for the rest of 2007. In 2008 they finally threw in What I've Done so the 3 openers were NMS, WID and W/GU. 2009 had Session/Given Up opening. New Divide was in the encore. I say New Divide opens this year. I'm not a big fan of a new song opening because I like the crowd to blow the fuck up and know the first song and go crazy to it. EDIT: Rotating setlist guess after I read Astat's post: New Divide for one and the other 2, previous LP singles that have never opened. Breaking The Habit, Faint, Crawling...something like that.
  16. Bleed It Out in 2007 was acceptable. 2008 and 2009 they just tried too much shit after it was already fine. I liked the extended intro, the drum solo in the middle, the extended bridge, the sing-a-long parts and the slow -> fast outro. That was my favorite style. The 2009 version blows the 08 one away (WPB in your case, well my case too since I was there lol). Only thing I liked about the 08 one was SDC doing the bridge at some shows and then Rob going back on the main drumset, coming in with them, and the song turning into a riot for the last minute and a half with Chester yelling "hey hey hey" all over it, etc, lol. LP with BIO proved they could take a 2:45 song and turn it into a 10:30 live song, so I do have hope for other songs. APFMH used to be like 5 minutes in 2003/2004 I believe. I know LP can extend songs. For my honest opinion I only see them playing 1 rarity song that we want in 2010. Like I would say it's likely going to be Figure.09. We'll see though.
  17. Takes time to add the god damn thing if you forget to with the original post lol.
  18. What song do you think will open the 2010 tour? Time for a poll and a discussion. New Divide is my bet.
  19. Don't rule out APFMH. LP is well aware of how epic APFMH/OSC is as a closing duo. I have faith in that returning. LP will make a big mistake if they don't at least close with OSC. It's the best closer they've got. Throw the Reanimated intro, Reanimated bridge and extended outro onto that beast and it's good to go as a sweet closer.
  20. As much as I love the long intro to No More Sorrow and as much as I want it to remain on the next cycle, I really think LP will drop that one. It was added in 2007 and they played it regularly until 2009...they don't usually keep intros/outros for that long. In fact, that one has stayed longer than any other song intro/outro on the Minutes To Midnight touring cycle. I'd like to see it again, but I do have to say I got my fair share of it - Charlotte, Tampa and Atlanta in 2008 and Graz, Zurich, Stuttgart and Grafenhainichen in 2009. I think the best long NMS intros came in 2007 with the kabouki because the lights were insane (type in No More Sorrow Linkin Park Raleigh) and check out the stage left video of it opening in 2007. 2008 was solid with the lights (see Tampa for a good example) but I liked the 07 one a tad more. Like I said in the QWERTY thread, I really hope LP plays songs they haven't played in forever on the next cycle. With a 21 song setlist each night, they have plenty of room for singles, new songs and old shit for the hardcore fans. Satisfy everyone with an epic show. You can rotate singles. Do 2 encores and let the first encore have 1-2 songs we really want like And One or something.

    QWERTY

Session was awesome last year! The first time I saw it was in Graz, and it was an indoor smaller venue that I guess had no sound restrictions because the lights went down and Pooch just CRANKED IT on Session. The place was just jamming, Session was really good. And Cure For The Itch in 2008 was badass. It went into OSC to end the show...place ERUPTED in West Palm Beach. Both of them are very solid live. I have never seen QWERTY live but I have heard DSP's, the raw recordings and videos as well of it in 2007, and I have to say the 2007 version (Charlotte especially with Mountain View a close second) was VERY bad. I really do think that that was LP's worst song they've ever played live - the 2007 version of QWERTY. The attempt to mix the 2 versions together was terrible. Great idea but poorly executed. The like, 20 hits after the intro was just ridiculous. The 2006 live version of QWERTY was amazing. I don't think they'll ever play the song live again since half the band likes one version and half likes the other, so I think that one will be put down. I'd love to see Cure For The Itch and Session alternate between different setlists in LP's encores on the next tour - that'd be sweet. Too bad MTM didn't have an instrumental track, then LP really could rotate 3 of them between 3 setlists. I think Kyur off Reanimation is way too similar to CFTI so I wouldn't want that in the 3rd setlist. Announcement Service Public is a band instrumental like Wake...not much Hahn in that one. I really do think they could pull off Sold My Soul To Yo Mama. CFTI already has those sampled voices live...SMSTYM has them too...just let Joe scratch the hell out of it. Now tell me that wouldn't be badass - the first encore of the LP 2010 shows starts with a different song each night for all 3 setlists. Session in one, Cure For The Itch in another, and Sold My Soul To Yo Mama in the last one. If LP really wanted to, they could make some EXCELLENT setlists on the next cycle that includes all those singles they want to play as well as some really solid rarities that the hardcore fans want to see. Sure, play Numb and Somewhere I Belong, but I bet thousands each night would enjoy Hit The Floor, Figure.09, With You and And One. My December is not an album track and the fans dig that. Reading My Eyes got a solid reception in 2006 in Japan and 2008 in Europe. C'mon LP, switch it up. I'm going to the 2 London O2 Arena shows and I'd love nothing else than to see a few songs live that I've never seen before from older albums, not just the new stuff. Why not keep the 2 encore idea, but play Easier To Run and some songs they haven't played in forever that we really want to hear in one of them?
  22. Yeah I think you are right Richard. That's when that article came out of Mike writing in I think Prague? with pics included and everything. Damn that was ages ago. I wonder what the stuff sounded like that he recorded there. and also...MUSE. Saw someone mention Muse. Damn I am on a HUGE Muse high right now. Last night's show was epic. I love Matt Bellamy. Muse is the best live band in the world, they really fucking bring it. I love their live show.
  23. LOL. The first one only had 3 people! Jonas, Marth and I. But yeah it was an LPL M&G. Zurich had a lot more!!!

    What Next?

A THOUSAND SUNS. Album title or the first single title? What other info do you think we'll get this week? We already got a leaked single release date and a possible album release date. Do you think we'll get a few track titles? Or more info on the album? Maybe info on the video? More tour dates? What do you think LP has planned for us this week? When is LPTV coming?
