Band didn't even stop I think. On to Numb. A bunch of security came out and were messing with the barricades. Rowdy pit I guess.
-
Looks like Shinoda was feeding him incorrect information LOL. B13 has been set to go since midday Barricade broke after Blackout. They are pulling barricades out of the crowd apparently. Something got fucked up!!!!
-
B15 isn't a real setlist. B13 is what is being played tonight. Not sure where B15 came from. That doesn't even exist lol.

"Wisdom, Justice, & Love" To Be Removed From DSPs
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
This. 100% agreed. Let's see what the band does with the next few shows...specifically Philly! ....or they could always replace it with a surprise performance of Wretches & Kings lol -
At this point I'll take A1 as a setlist since it has Wretches and Messenger! And Bleed It Out w/ BITS and APFMH closes that baby and the crowd just EXPLODES! I was really bummed I saw A1 three times initially but now I'm really glad since that's my favorite set, actually now over B11 which I liked a lot the other day. Requiem into Wretches to open can't be beaten in my opinion. I saw BITS and Blackout at soundcheck so I'll take my A1 any day B11 opens weirdly in my opinion w/ the big gap between Requiem and New Divide...B13 is ok but ND before OSC is oddly placed.....and C5 has a WEIRD encore We stepped it up this tour and are getting the full setlists at like 5pm before the show even starts! All part of the LPLive 2011 Stimulus Package! /obamacare LOL

I respectfully disagree with you on this. I saw Requiem into Wretches twice live to start the show and the place BLEW UP. Like I know crowds get pumped when LP comes on stage, but it was so awesome being in the pit for WAK to start the show. The place starts screaming HEY HEY at those few points, hands are up, place is rockin'. I was like WTF when I heard it opened the Argentina show but Wretches is a GREAT song live from what I saw. And I saw it once in the pit and once from the side of the stage. The other time it didn't have Savio before it, I was in the pit but that was Atlanta and the crowd basically sucked in my opinion. But the place was jamming in Sunrise and Tampa. Disregarding what Phoenix and Brad play in the song, it has tons of energy and the band looks like they have a blast playing it. I don't understand why you'd say Blackout is better because I think that song is much weaker than WAK live. I think WAK should be in each setlist and it really shocks me it's not. Post show in Sunrise all I could do was talk about how awesome it was to see Requiem go into Wretches to make the crowd go nuts. /2 cents of disagreement

The last show of January and the eight show of the North American leg of the "A Thousand Suns" World Tour takes place at The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. The band has played in the Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ (the neighboring town) many times in their history....all the way from 2000 to current day. Too many shows to list here! They have played the same venue back in 2002 when they headlined the very first Projekt Revolution Tour with Cypress Hill, Adema and DJ Z-Trip. The only years LP hasn't played in Philly or Camden would be in 2006, 2009 and 2010...and since those years lacked USA tours entirely, it means the band has played in the area on EVERY album touring cycle several times! The most memorable performance in the city came in 2005 at the Live 8 show that everyone knows so well. LP only played two shows that year, both were with Jay-Z and they chose Philadelphia to play in for Live 8 for one of those shows after being personally invited by none other than Bono from U2! That show was aired on TV worldwide and most songs were released on the LPUnderground 5.0 CD. After listening to recordings of shows in the city, it's a well known fact that Chester loves playing in Philly! Phew! With all of that said...time to cover a few things regarding this tour. The band has debuted all three of its brand new setlists (stay tuned in the next few days for a poll on your FAVORITE one) and we have confirmation that they are rotating them RANDOMLY for the first time in the band's history! So when you go to the show, it's actually impossible to know which one you'll get. Sweet! B11, B13 and C5 are the three new ones, but we don't know if they are keeping A1 or not (the only set with 'Wretches & Kings' and 'The Messenger', by the way). We'll just have to wait and see! What do you guys think? B11 tonight? A1? Think the band will do anything about "Wisdom, Justice, & Love"...? Who's going to the Philadelphia show? Surely lots of you are getting ready for your upcoming shows since LPLive has quite a few Northeast USA members! I heard rumors that there is heavy snow coming in after the show? M&G, anyone? SETLIST (B13): 01. The Requiem 02. Faint (Savio Intro) 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up 05. What I've Done 06. No More Sorrow 07. From The Inside 08. Jornada Del Muerto 09. Waiting For The End 10. Blackout (Barricade problems after song; many more security guards brought to the front) 11. Numb 12. The Radiance (Live Version) 13. Iridescent 14. Fallout 15. The Catalyst 16. Shadow Of The Day 17. In The End (Chester in crowd) 18. Bleed It Out (BITS & APFMH over bridge) --------------------- 19. Empty Spaces 20. When They Come For Me 21. Papercut 22. Crawling 23. New Divide 24. One Step Closer Discuss!

"Wisdom, Justice, & Love" To Be Removed From DSPs
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
I say they should drop it and then flip flop Numb and Iridescent. Radiance inbetween them, done deal. Or just do like a new improv piano piece into it. I don't think it's a good idea, however, to keep playing it in the setlists when it can't be released because that means each show they do it, that's an incomplete recording. I think it'd be best if they dropped it altogether. -
As some of you may have noticed, the song "Wisdom, Justice, & Love" is missing from the Atlanta show DSP. Upon further investigation, I have been told that it is missing from some past shows (if not all?) as well. Miles Muse (LPFreak64) asked Pooch about it on Facebook and he had this to say, "Yeah - I heard that they might have to remove WJI because of licensing issues. When you play a live performance publishers charge money for usage of a sound byte like the Martin Luther King speech. So every time they play it live, the band has to pay a usage fee. Obviously they are prevented from releasing the recorded version, perhaps due to the Martin Luther King estate stipulating a no recorded release in their contract. So you will get to see it live but probably will not be released as a DSP from now on. (Just WJI)." Apparently the Oppenheimer and Savio speeches are still good to go but the MLK Jr estate is preventing this song from being released in a DSP. What do you guys think about this? This is the first song to ever be omitted from a Linkin Park DSP since they started their live recordings in 2007. An interesting note is that the song starts the LP encore in Set C5....so that means in every show it's going to have to be edited out, but in C5, the crowd will have to be edited precisely to retain that loud noise when the band returns to the stage. Do you think LP should drop the song from the setlist perhaps? Or what should they do in place of it? What is everyones' thoughts on it missing from the DSPs? Also, the Twitter account for Ryan DeMarti (associated with the band's management) gave us information on why the DSP pictures for the first few North American shows in 2011 were so small compared to previous ones: "photographer mistake that is being fixed on future shows. In the interest of time we released them that way for the first couple." Do you think LP should release the higher quality pics in place of these, or just forget about it?

Damn that yusuf pierce guy really bothers him on FB, lol

Said it 50458405485 times by now: Robot Boy is not coming on this tour. kthxbai
-
Yeah that's what I did and I was good to go. I did that in Sunrise and Atlanta. I forgot in Tampa, so I had to just buy the DSP for $10 now, LOL. I don't care though since I attended 3 shows for free, got 2 free DSPs, so $10 total for me to see Linkin Park 3 times = win.
-
No recordings of audio or video of it as far as we know
-
I don't know it but I don't think they work the day after the show. Well, I mean I had a friend try the day after Sunrise and it didn't work. You text the code to 50505 ...the Sunrise code was LPSUNS, the Atlanta one was ATLLIVE but neither worked the day after the show. Hmm.

Hey guys, I'm back! Here's my next preshow post. I'll be unavailable for next few as it's my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend so we're going on yet another vacation...but I'll be back for the Boston or NYC show posts. Anyway..... The sixth show of Linkin Park's North American Tour in support of "A Thousand Suns" takes place in St. Paul, Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center. Linkin Park last played this venue in February 2008 (show page here). That was a great show; there's a DSP available here of it too. That venue hosted my favorite video of 'A Place For My Head'...when Mike went into the crowd and was just rocking it. Anyone want this song to return to the setlist as badly as I do? The venue also got a show in 2004 on the Meteora World Tour (show page here), which is where the famous "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" cover took place at! Unfortunately, no videos exist. Mark Fiore, if you see this...throw it up! There's pics of Mike dressed up from this show circulating out there somewhere, so if you have those...post 'em! LP opened for the Stone Temple Pilots in 2001 on the Family Values Tour at this venue as well, show page here. Local LPLive member and LP expert Astat will be attending this show, so be on the look for his signature red headed self somewhere at the venue (and M&G, from what I heard). At the Sunrise show soundcheck, Mike said they were playing three new setlists this tour. Set A1 was in effect for the first 3 shows but B11 made an appearance in Detroit and B13 made an appearance in Chicago, the last two shows. There's obviously one more setlist to go since 'Burning In The Skies' isn't included in A1, B11 or B13. This leaves us with many questions. Will the new setlist make its appearance in St. Paul? What will it be called: B12 or B15, or maybe something else? What will open? 'New Divide' and 'Faint' opened B11 and B13, respectively, so there's a need for another opened in the new set. Will LP keep rotating A1, or will it replace A1 with this new set, and open this new one with 'Wretches And Kings'? What do you guys think? Who's going to the show? M&G, anyone? Everyone HAPPY that the DSPs this tour are being released very quickly compared to the previous tours? Shoutout to Pooch & Dylan here for that! Find Pooch on Facebook here! He wants you to add him and reply to his stuff...so drop a thanks for the DSPs on his wall! After this show, LP travels to Kansas City, MO to play at the Sprint Center on the 29th. An off day follows before playing in Philadelphia and Boston on back-to-back nights. Check out the full 2011 tour schedule here. Setlist: 1. Requiem 2. Papercut w/ Savio Speech 3. Lying From You 4. Given Up 5. What I've Done (new piano outro into) 6. Empty Spaces/When They Come For Me 7. No More Sorrow (Long Intro) 8. Jornada Del Muerto 9. Waiting For the End 10. Burning in the Skies 11. Numb 12. Radiance (Live Version) 13. Breaking the Habit 14. Fallout/Catalyst 15. Crawling 16. One Step Closer 17. Bleed it out w/A Place for My Head/ Drum solo Encore 18. Wisdom, Justice and Love 19. Iridescent 20. Shadow of the Day 21. In the End 22. New Divide 23. Faint Set notes: - Chester was in the crowd during Crawling - There was something wrong with Joe's equipment during Crawling, the samples were played at the wrong pitch. - Mike was in the crowd during In the End. - Joe didn't play the last note of New Divide. Thanks to Astat for providing the setlist.

They left all the fuckups in there. That's excellent. WTCFM Tampa intro fuckup, Radiance vocoder broken in Sunrise. Mix is GREAT. I am jamming to Tampa lol, Mike is blowing up on WTCFM "SING THAT SHIT MOTHERFUCKER". A+ show!

Tampa is out! Downloading now; check the usual place in 15 mins!

As you all know in Detroit the other day, Linkin Park debuted their new setlist "B11" at the Joe Louis Arena. The show page can be found here. This show was the first time that 'New Divide' has opened the show since the album release show in New York City (show page here). Other highlights include the first time that 'Papercut' was ever played in the encore and also the North American debut of 'Blackout'! Now thanks to my friend RyanJ, we're able to download the audio right now before the DSP arrives. Just another one of those little exclusive things we're doing for our members this tour! Download: Track by track (LPLive server) One .zip file (Ryan's server...not the fastest speed) Torrents (FLAC): dimeadozen demonoid He missed most of 'New Divide' due to security hassling him about getting onto the floor but the recording picks up with 'Lying From You' through to the end of the show. For you hardcore collectors, a lossless version will become available soon. If you enjoy this recording, drop a thanks for him for the quick turnaround on the recording! Enjoy!

I wonder what set B12 will bring us!

A UK 1 track promo CD for 'Burning In The Skies' has appeared on eBay. Check it out here. Do you guys think that this is the legit cover for the single? Do you think the music video might have a soldier in it? Thoughts?
-
Cool that you guys saw soundcheck but interesting that they didn't do any acoustic songs at the Q&A.
