I wonder if the DSPs from the first 2 shows will be up before the European shows start. -

I hope it's webcasted too. The Skype chat was badass lol if we could do it two nights in a row that'd be awesome. A new set would help -
The second show of the Linkin Park summer tour takes place in Mountain View, California at the Shoreline Amphitheatre on the 5th. The band has played this venue on Ozzfest in 2001 and on Projekt Revolution in 2004, 2007 and 2008. This will be their fifth show there, their second show of this tour, and their last US show of 2011 as far as we know. Unless you've lived under a rock your entire life, you know about the ALMIGHTY Mountain View 2004 show and if not, please please please do us a favor and check out the show page here. While you're at it, download the recording as it's easily one of the top five audience recordings out there. The setlist and crowd alone make it what many Linkin Park fans call one of their best shows they've ever played (no disagreeing here by LPLive staff!). In 2008 at this venue (show page here), Brad played a prank on Rob. A video of that can be found My favorite video from this city comes from 2007 on the Projekt Revolution Tour and is titled "Chester In Your Face". You can see why below.... At their last show, the KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, CA, Linkin Park played a shortened version of one of their North America 2011 setlists, the one that begins with 'Papercut' and has the encore that starts with 'Wisdom, Justice, & Love'. Why shortened you ask? Well, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters decided to show up (no complaining here) and kick some major ass for an hour before LP went on, pushing them back half an hour. The question here though is will they play the same set in Mountain View? Or will they change it up? http://live105.com says that there will be a webcast of BFD. I asked them on Twitter if they were webcasting Linkin Park and they basically replied that they don't know yet. I guess we'll have to stay tuned to their BFD 2011 page to find out! Who is going to this show? Did anyone score an LPU M&G? What do you guys think they'll play? Will LP rotate sets this summer? Will they be the same ones from earlier in the year or will they play any new ones? After this show, Linkin Park takes a short break before going over to Europe and starting their run of mostly festival shows. The tour first lands in Austria on June 11th for the Novarock Festival, so be sure to check back for coverage on that show as well as the others. The full 2011 tour schedule can be found here. SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Papercut 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up 05. What I've Done 06. Empty Spaces 07. When They Come For Me 08. No More Sorrow 09. Jornado Del Muerto 10. Waiting For The End 11. Wisdom Justice and Love 12. Iridescent 13. Numb 14. The Radiance (Live Version) 15. Breaking The Habit 16. The Catalyst 17. Crawling 18. New Divide 19. In The End 20. Bleed It Out (A Place For My Head during bridge) 21. Faint 22. One Step Closer

Skype was awesome. We've never had that many in IRC. Easier for people to set up Skype I think. That went pretty well. We had a LOT of people. 50+? Skype chat really made it fun. -

Generic setlist, I wonder if they cut BITS/Fallout for time. Or just because it was the first show back. No problem with the generic setlist but probably one less DSP I'll download from this year lol. Why does LP rehearse so much if they play the same ole stuff? Terrible encore. But anyway Chester sounded GREAT tonight. Band really came out strong on Papercut. Solid set yeah, Chaz was awesome but I'd like them to change it up.... -

Decision has been made! We get them all

Hell yeah this is great. I thought this year they'd do maybe Irvine, Mountain View, Stockholm and Hamburg and that'd be it. This is really cool. Maybe someday they'll open up and put all of the summer 2008 shows up from Europe since they were all recorded and mixed, and 2009 as well. Huge step forward for LP. I can't wait to hear the crowds and performances. Too bad there's no Rock am Ring this year.

The Linkin Park DSP (Digital Souvenir Package) website has now been updated with shows from the band's summer tour this year in the US and Europe! DSP's include the full audio recording of the Linkin Park set, recorded and professionally mixed by the fan-favorites Pooch and Dylan, and also come with pictures of the band and usually the setlist that night. The price for a single DSP is $9.99. Check the DSP website for more information on the shows, to preorder them and to download them: http://downloads.linkinpark.com/ Shows DSPs are being offered for: June 4 - Irvine, CA (KROQ Weenie Roast) [AVAILABLE as of June 22] June 5 - Mountain View, CA (BFD) [AVAILABLE as of June 28] June 11 - Nickelsdorf, Austria (NovaRock) [AVAILABLE as of June 22] June 12 - Donington, UK (Download) [AVAILABLE as of June 26] June 14 - Stockholm, Sweden [AVAILABLE as of June 26] June 16 - Helsinki, Finland (Projekt Revolution) [AVAILABLE as of June 26] June 18 - Leipzig, Germany (Projekt Revolution) [AVAILABLE as of June 28] June 19 - Oberursel, Germany (Hessentag / Projekt Revolution) [AVAILABLE as of June 28] June 21 - Hamburg, Germany (LPU Summit #4) [AVAILABLE as of June 30] June 25 - Munich, Germany (Projekt Revolution) [AVAILABLE as of July 8] June 26 - Imola, Italy (Sonisphere Italy) [AVAILABLE as of July 8] June 28 - Arendal, Norway (Hove) [AVAILABLE as of July 8] June 30 - Werchter, Belgium (Rock Werchter) [AVAILABLE as of July 9] July 1 - Arras, France (Main Square Festival) [AVAILABLE as of July 9] July 2 - St. Gallen, Switzerland (OpenAir St. Gallen) [AVAILABLE as of July 11] July 4 - London, England (iTunes Festival) This means that this is the FIRST year that festival shows are being offered. In previous years (2007-current), festival performances have generally not been sold by the band due to promoters restricting the use of the band's audio unless the band pays more money to sell it themselves. It seems like that period in LP history is over as ALL FESTIVALS are being sold this year! The only show not being sold as a DSP is Moscow, Russia, which is a special show for the debut of Transformers 3, which is understandable. I'd like everyone to collectively say THANKS to Linkin Park for doing this! This is a huge step forward for the fans and is VERY appreciated! Personally, I was hoping LP would do this for years, so this comes as great news! Find the full 2011 tour schedule here. What do you guys think about this? JUNE 21 EDIT: The DSP download site has recently removed the July 4 show in London at the iTunes Festival, so no DSP will be available for that show. http://downloads.linkinpark.com/

Cool video. Not the best, not the worst but I'd say it's in the top 25%. Best one off ATS for me. Not amazing by any means but the effects were sweet. I liked seeing Chaz sing a verse w/ Mike, I had no idea he did that in the studio or live version until I saw the video *Facepalm* lol

Thanks for the higher res image - I fixed the link to include that one. Ask him if he'll do a short guitar intro to Numb. Jonas and I asked him to do A.06 in 2009 and he said maybe he'd do it someday but not today, lol. Song requests never work. Ask him to do something simple like do a little guitar intro before Numb starts, tell him to spice it up or something After all, Brad was the one that started the idea for the NMS intros in 2007. Ask Mike for some Reading My Eyes over Bleed It Out, because RME is badass If you request a verse to Mike, he'll actually do it.... -

That's awesome. No need for a setlist bitch since there's a webcast so enjoy yourself! -
It's that time again - time for the first preshow post of the next tour! The webcast can be found HERE. EDIT: Join our LPLive.net live chat on Skype for the webcast! Add user "swimminginsmoke" and you'll get invited to the chat. Come and have some fun! Linkin Park kicks off their summer tour with two shows in their home state of California, with the first coming on the 4th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California for the famous KROQ Weenie Roast! The band last played the KROQ Weenie Roast in May of 2007 (show page here) for their last "promo/warmup" show for Minutes To Midnight before they embarked on their first European Tour for the album. That was their only appearance at the festival, so this is round two! The 2007 show was where Mike presented his pink Hello Kitty guitar on 'From The Inside' and Chester joked around about him having a "mighty pink pussy" on his hands. This is one of my favorite performances of this song because the band looks totally exhausted from the heat already at that point in the set but they still rock really hard on it. Mike still has the guitar, as you can see in the background of this video. But anyway enough about Hello Kitty and its appearance on instruments! This is probably the millionth show in the LA-area for LP...we're not even going to begin to count (if anyone wants to, feel free) but we do know that the last time came at the Staples Center in Los Angeles a few months ago (show page here). If you follow all of the shows and get every DSP like I do, check out the LA one. The crowd is so loud that that alone makes the show awesome. The good thing about this show is that it will be WEBCASTED. Find all of that information here. Linkin Park hits the stage at 9:30pm PST, so be sure to get your audio/video recording programs set because we sure don't want to miss the first show of the summer! We still have no word on a DSP for this show. What's interesting to note is that the Epicenter 2009 show DSP was not announced until after the DOORS had opened for that show, so a DSP is still possible for this one. A bunch of other awesome bands are playing this show so tune in early to catch them. Who's going to the show? M&G for anyone for the first show? Also we'd like to give a shoutout to Adam for getting the M&Gs set in stone for these two California shows. Thanks! Setlist predictions? Do you guys want to see something different open? Or do you want to see 'Faint' and 'New Divide' opening this summer like the band had in North America? Do you think they'll bring back anything different? Any random songs coming back in like 'Reading My Eyes' in 2006/2008? SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Papercut 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up 05. What I've Done 06. Empty Spaces 07. When They Come For Me 08. No More Sorrow 09. Jornada Del Muerto 10. Waiting For The End 11. Numb 12. The Radiance (Live Version) 13. Breaking The Habit (no a capella outro for the first time in 2011) 14. The Catalyst (no Fallout intro) 15. Crawling 16. Faint 17. One Step Closer ------------------------ 18. Wisdom, Justice, & Love 19. Iridescent 20. New Divide 21. In The End 22. Bleed It Out (A Place For My Head bridge) (Only the second time this year, Phoenix being the first, that Chester sang the "You will never get the best of me" line on the bridge) Notes: - The band played an abbreviated setlist due to the Foo Fighters playing an impromtu hour-long set beforehand, pushing LP back 30 minutes. 'Burning In The Skies' was dropped from before 'Numb', 'Fallout' was dropped from before 'The Catalyst', and 'Shadow Of The Day' was dropped from before 'New Divide'. - First time 'Breaking The Habit' hasn't had the a cappella outro in 2011. Thoughts on the show?

Take a picture or scan it now and then if you want to send it in later you can Don't take the risk of losing it lol. We don't post any images until AFTER the show of course just so no one gets screwed. If you want us to edit the name off or anything like that we can (we've done that in the past a lot).
-
Ah you're right. Sorry dude. I didn't move or make this thread. I apologize on behalf of the staff. Usually we are pretty good with that stuff! We aren't selfish though, don't be so quick to jump the gun.
-
It makes no sense not to have them from the first 2 shows since there's been multiple DSPs from those places before, wtf lol. Well Irvine just one but you know what I mean. LP is at the point where they need them for EVERY show, even small shit. Metallica has them for literally everything they play. Basement shows, small sets, etc. They just vary the price. Not having them for festivals is annoying now because we've missed out on some good moments by the band. They should upgrade the DSP site with: -A totally new layout that is more user-friendly -Options for FLAC -Option to buy individual songs -*every* show 2007-now -A few pre-2007 shows because we know they have SOME stuff in the fault /neverhappen

We're trying to get everything caught up here at LPLive in time for the summer tour. This means we're trying to fix some 2011 show pages by adding some more show notes and such. When looking at them I also noticed we are missing some ticket stubs! Well actually we're missing a LOT of ticket stubs. We were trying to make 2010 the first year we could get a ticket scan of every show and we couldn't quite do it so we moved on to 2011...couldn't do it for 2011 either! We have almost none for the upcoming summer tour (we have Irvine and that's about it), so if you have your tickets for your show you're seeing this year, scan them or take a good picture of them and send them in! We need tickets for all of the festivals Linkin Park is playing this year as well as all of the headlining shows! Even if the festival ticket doesn't mention LP, we'd like it for the archive. We don't post ANY tickets until AFTER the show has taken place, so they are safe if you send them in. We can also edit names off of them if you want like we have done in the past numerous times. We'll take print-at-home tickets, wristbands, M&G passes, anything. We'd like it all! Email the pictures to: pics@lplive.net Or respond with them as an attachment in this thread. http://lplive.net/2010.php http://lplive.net/2011.php Any shows without the "T" on the right hand side are needing tickets, such as St. Paul this year or Manchester, England last year. We want LPL to be as "complete" as possible so we'd love for the fans to help us out as much as possible! If your name appears on the ticket, don't worry about it, we'll censor that for you of course!

Elias just posted this on FB: "Good news Julien-K just added 4-5 more shows playing with our friends in Filter in Germany! How about that!! This is going to be insane!! Then we tour with Papa Roach after Filter!! Insaaaaaaaannnee!!!! More debauchery to come...." That is badass! Dates: 20.06.11 - Frankfurt, Batschkapp 23.06.11 - Stuttgart, LKA Longhorn 26.06.11 - Köln, Essigfabrik 27.06.11 - Hamburg, Markthalle
-
I doubt that means anything. LP said in 2009 at Sonisphere that they were going to steal the title of the best live band in the world from Muse LOL. They did the same set they did on that entire tour. Download will get whatever LP is doing this summer, it won't be something special I don't think. I bet they rotate 3 sets but this comment could mean that they want to make them a bit harder... I likey. Figure.09 and P5hng please
