  1. Let me ask Sean what's going on with these lol
  2. Linkin Park plays their third show of the summer and their first show of the European Tour in Nickelsdorf, Austria at the NovaRock Festival. This is their second appearance at the festival, the first coming in 2007 (show page here) as the last show on the first European Tour for Minutes To Midnight. An interesting note about that show was that it was almost canceled! The band was supposed to play the Heineken Jammin' Festival in Venice, Italy the day before but it was canceled due to terrible storms (see: tornadoes) and a lot of the band's gear was damaged in the storm. The crew and the people of NovaRock had to piece together working equipment so LP could play! You can see the Projekt Revolution 2004 backdrop instead of the video screen. LP didn't headline that show...it was one of the few on that tour where they opened for Pearl Jam. A few cool videos from that show.... the first one is the fourth time or so that 'Bleed It Out' was extended during the bridge. USA fans take note - this is why Euro crowds kick ass! Maybe that's not as cool as the "Say fuck yo' side" video from Switzerland earlier in that tour ( ) but it's still awesome. is a really cool video of 'Crawling' from NovaRock 2007 that was filmed backstage. The guy has a few others from Rock im Park 2007 too. LP first played Austria on March 9th, 2001 in Vienna on the Deftones' European Tour (show page here). They returned only 6 months later in September (show page here) to headline the same venue - nice! After not playing there for almost seven years, they returned to play Novarock in 2007 (show page here) and then headlined the Statdhalle in Graz back-to-back years in 2008 (show page here) and 2009 (show page here). In 2010 they played Linz (show page here), which coincidentally made the 2009 and 2010 shows both the third show of the tour. This will be their seventh show in Austria and their fifth year in a row playing there. So far in 2011 we have seen two very identical sets in Irvine (show page here) and Mountain View (show page here) last week. The question is - will the band continue using that one set for Europe? Or will they rotate with the three or four sets they used on the North American Tour earlier this year? OR will they change things up with three brand new sets? What do you think? Who's headed to NovaRock? M&G for anyone at this show? Playing before Linkin Park at this festival on the "Blue Stage" is 30 Seconds To Mars, Wolfmother, Guano Apes, Dredg, Plain White T's, Silverstein, Framing Hanley and Crash Kings. Is everyone excited for the start of the European Tour? After NovaRock, LP plays the Download Festival in Donington, UK the following day before heading over to Stockholm, Sweden for the first of only two headlining arena shows on this tour. The full 2011 touring schedule can be found here. SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Papercut 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up 05. What I've Done 06. Empty Spaces 07. When They Come For Me 08. 3. Congrats! Hell yeah. first LP show for you? Full show I'll see you on the webcast!
  4. Well hell if I saw the setlist in advance I would consider this
  5. Oh wow. Thanks. I'll definitely add that one. That's crazy that it takes so long to bring LP somewhere when a promoter like MLK just says "we need you here __________" and LP makes it happen lol
  6. Thanks Jen. LOL hell yeah Chester said that at Club Tattoo 2006. That's funny.
  7. ->
  8. Thanks for the heads up on the Sweden fact. Changed the note around. It was canceled I believe due to the Reading Fest show the day before it. Na Pez I like that fact
  9. A lot of stuff has been going on the world of Shinoda lately so we thought we'd combine a few things into one post for your easy reading access. First of all, 'colinreid' points out that http://mikeshinoda.com has received a new red, black and grey layout courtesy of 10UP. I think it looks pretty badass myself. Next, 'HybridThe0ry97' informed me that Mike called into DC101 yesterday. Their DJ posted the following note on Twitter: "RT @mikejonesradio: Hey, I had a nice fireside chat with @m_shinoda today! http://www.dc101.com/pages/MikeJones.html #linkinpark " I don't think the latest post over at the DJ blog has anything to do with Mike calling in, but it might. The image just translates to a middle finger by Jesus. Regardless, this is a very odd post. Happy Wednesday I guess? Lastly, 'Pez' said that Mike called 89X radio in Detroit and talked to their DJ named Jay. 'Pez' adds, "He has revealed that not only will the band be playing a full set at this years Transformers: Dark of the Moon show in Moscow, but the show will also be broadcasted online! Check out the interview in the link below." The handy dandy MikeShinodaClan.com has what you need right here. That's it for now! It looks like we are in store for another webcast this year, this time from Moscow. Since this is the only show without a DSP in 2011 so far, it seems that 2011 might be the first year we get a recording from *every* Linkin Park show the entire year. Let's hope so!
  10. I like the dubstep feel it has to it. Nasty beat on my speakers lol. I like this shit. Definitely on up there with my favorite LP official remixes. Nothing beats the LOATR M Shinoda remix though for me. I want a download to this immediately
  11. There's a new, official 'Wretches & Kings' remix out there circulating about...well, sorta. HavocNdeeD have laid hands on 'Wretches & Kings' a second time for our listening pleasure. The first remix by HavocNdeeD was released last year in November and can be found They just released a new version of the remix, featuring a verse from Chuck D of Public Enemy on it. Check it out here. Don't miss the 'Show Me What You Got' by Jay-Z sample right before the Chuck D verse! What do you think about the "new, improved" remix?
  12. Highly doubt it as Warner said no webcasting LP in 2004 and 2007 but you never know. We'll see.
  13. Thanks you guys. New facts added today: When A Thousand Suns was released, Chester said that 'The Messenger' was the first LP song to use the word "love". Actually, 'And One', 'Points Of Authority', and 'In Pieces' all use it! In December of 2010, Linkin Park brought up the same fan (Pez) at two different Australian shows to play 'Faint' on guitar: Newcastle and Sydney night 2. He's the first fan to play on stage twice! The Minutes to Midnight touring cycle began and ended with 'One Step Closer' (Berlin 2007 and Pomona 2009). The power went out mid-song on 'Breaking The Habit' at Pomona 2009. The band continued playing and the crowd sang in the place of Chester, but the problem caused the DSP for the show to be lost! Linkin Park played their first shows in Israel and Abu Dhabi in November 2010. The band has canceled three shows in Sweden over the years - in 2011 (9/11), in 2003 (Chester was sick) and in 2008 (Brad had an ear infection). LP offered free tickets to the soldiers and families of active military personnel during the Projekt Revolution 2003 Tour. Mike Shinoda is known to own more guitars (even a Hello Kitty one!) than Brad Delson! Brad Delson's Red Custom 24 Paul Reed Smith guitar is one of the only ones ever made without the PRS logo on the headstock. Due to licensing restrictions, the song 'Wisdom, Justice, & Love' can no longer be distributed though Linkin Park's DSP's. The last DSP to feature it was Tampa 2011. On the A Thousand Suns World Tour, all of the footage shown on the screens behind the band during the show was made by a company called 'Ghost Town Media'. Brad Delson is the only member on stage that doesn't use the in ear monitoring system. Instead, he wears heavy duty headphones to protect his sensitive hearing. Linkin Park has contributed music to all three Transformers movies so far. One song was made specifically FOR the movie - 'New Divide'! 'What I've Done' was in the first movie and 'Iridescent' was in the third. 'Foreword' was the very last thing contributed musically to Meteora. Chester wrote the lyrics to 'Easier To Run' before any of the music was created. Though the final recording of 'Faint' is 135bpm, the original demo was only at 70bpm! 'Session' took over a full year to finish! The demo for 'Hands Held High' was initially called 'Song Q', and was the only song that Brad concieved that ended up on the album. In 2011, Linkin Park took their Projekt Revolution Tour back to Europe for the second time (2008 was the first). However, the USA didn't get a Projekt Revolution for the first time on a touring cycle! Linkin Park performed at both the Transformers 2 premiere (Los Angeles in 2009) and the Transformers 3 premiere (Moscow in 2011)! 2011 is the first year that the band has released European festival shows as DSP's. From 2007 to 2010, they have never released any European festival shows! A November 2006 issue of Rolling Stone magazine first revealed the working title of 'Bleed It Out', entitled 'Accident'. 'H! Vltg3' off of Reanimation samples a song called "All For One" by the group Brand Nubian. The members of the group are credited in the liner notes of the album. Linkin Park was forced to cancel five shows on their North American Tour in 2011 due to Chester being sick. Two of them were rescheduled for the end of the tour - Dallas and Houston. The North American Tour in 2011 made it the third consecutive tour in the winter to have shows canceled in the USA due to Chester being sick - 2004, 2008 and 2011. Edited the fact about the South American shows. 99 was replaced.
  14. Download the show here: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7206 Also, LP crew leaves tomorrow for Austria so I don't know if the DSPs will be up by then. Hoping they'll get posted today or tomorrow....
  15. Linkin Park's Twitter page has posted the following tweet: "Chester will be calling in to @loveline during the first hour of the show tonight Who tuned in? EDIT: Thanks to MikeShinodaClan.com, you can find the audio of it here.
  16. I doubt they'll play in the Philippines again :/ I think there's a Hong Kong date on this Asian Tour that will be announced.
  17. Thanks Adam! Woah that's a proshot video of LP on Projekt Revolution 2004. That's where the "In The End" is from. Do you know what show that's from? Does it say anywhere in the video where that's from?
  18. Yep. Thanks. Working on updating these.
  19. "ARLETA, Calif. (KTLA) -- A 14-year-old boy is fighting for his life -- battling brain cancer -- and now his parents are asking the public for help in fulfilling his last wish. Kyle Rodas was diagnosed with the deadly disease in October. He has since lost most of his sight, his speech is extremely limited and he depends entirely on his parents to take care of him at their home in Arleta. Oscar Rodas and Marty Valle say they would do anything for their only son, but add that they cannot fulfill his last wish. Kyle's parents say it would be a dream come true if he could meet one of his favorite rock bands that includes, Linkin Park, Green Day and Ozzy Osbourne. Now they're coming forward to share their son's story in hopes that someone will help fulfill his wish." EDIT: Ozzy has called Kyle and will visit him! Read the story here. With Ozzy taking action, Green Day and Linkin Park are left....Green Day fansites have picked up the story intensely today and now it's spreading around the Linkin Park community. Let's get it done! EDIT2: Less than 24 hours after the story aired, Ozzy Osbourne placed a call to the cancer-stricken teen, saying he plans to visit him at his home when he returns from his tour in Europe this summer. Kyle's parents say their son was overjoyed when Ozzy called and Ozzy told him to "hang in there." Later in the day, KTLA received word that the drummer from Linkin Park went to visit Kyle, and on Wednesday, the lead singer will visit him. The full story can be found here. Thanks to Jen for the heads up! Let's hope Linkin Park can make this happen! If we spread the word about this, you never know what's possible!
  20. Sweet review Jen! If I ever meet LP again I guess I'll tell them I work there too lol. I didn't mention it in Sunrise or ATL. Glad you had a blast. Very possible they did these 2 as warmups and will kick it big in Europe with new sets. Or they'll just use the 3 or 4 US ones again and piss us off What's interesting to note is that it seems the band has more ENERGY at the start of this tour than I have seen in a long time. They are really rocking. Impressive! Hope the 2 CA DSPs come before Europe.
  21. There was no audio or video webcast at all. Papercut opening kicks ass. Interesting set. I'd like to see them change it up in Europe...
