  1. Yeah LP has really good security. Both in sense of, they protect the band really well and they inform the venues of what needs to be done. Marcel is their head security guy and he has a "no bullshit" attitude. I'm pretty sure early entry will go off without a flaw at any headlining show. I'm interested to see if this will apply to the smaller shows like Best Buy Theatre, etc on the next tour.
  2. Mike: "A full release of the score is hopefully in the works. It's fun to listen to without visuals." Nice!
  3. Yeah that's terrible :/ Perhaps Shinoda will somehow make it available to us. Or knowing Warner they'll see an opportunity to make money and somehow get the rights to it (either buy it from the movie company, or hell maybe they've already rigged the whole thing by making WBR have rights to the music since SHINODA made it) and put it up on iTunes or on LP.com for sale or something. That's one of the few advantages to LP on Warner...they'll make some stuff available to buy but probably if they were independent there'd be more stuff like that out anyway so who knows. But hopefully it comes out sometime somehow.
  4. Mike just posted an update on The Raid and his experience at Sundance on his blog. "Had a great time at Sundance this past weekend. This was the premiere of the film with the new score. All the award-winning showings of the movie up to this point have been with the previous score, and the reviews have been amazing…so I was a bit nervous to see how critics reacted to it with the new music. Needless to say, I was relieved to see that people still liked it, some saying they even liked it more with the new music." Read more by Mike here. For info on The Raid, click here. Are you excited for his score in the movie?
  5. Is it true the reason the show stopped is because Ryan blew his voice out? Did the setlist have more songs on it...?
  6. Julien-K played at The Roxy in LA last night for their album release show for the new CD "We're Here With You". As expected, Chester joined them for a few songs! SETLIST: 01. We're Here With You 02. Futura 03. Surrounded By Cowards 04. Fail With Grace 05. I'll Try Not To Destroy You (feat. Chester) 06. Palm Springs Reset (feat. Chester) 07. Kick The Bass 08. Close Continuance 09. Breakfast In Berlin 10. Someday Soon (Headcleanr Remix) 11. Maestro (Koma + Bones Remix) --------------- 12. Cruel Daze Of Summer This is the second time that Chester has been featured on 'I'll Try Not To Destroy You' and 'Palm Springs Reset' - the first being the Dead By Sunrise show at the end of last year. Usually he joins Julien-K for 'Technical Difficulties' but it looks like we have two new ones for him to sing on! Did anyone from LPLive make it to the show? Check out the videos below: Thoughts?
  7. My favorite is Coming Home. Wow. Love her voice.
  8. They played Download last year and the full Download headliners lineup is already out. http://fido.apps.ln-trust.com/publishing/c...load-poster.png The Prodigy (lol they opened for LP), Black Sabbath and Metallica. Looks like with how many festivals LP is playing, a Chester/Soundgarden collab could likely happen. LP sadly doesn't take advantage of collabs at festivals very much anymore though. Aaron Lewis in 2003 at Reading but not so much recently...Jonathan Davis in 2007 was at most of their fests playing with Korn. Greenfield: http://www.greenfieldfestival.ch/intro/index.php Die Artze, Billy Talent, Rise Against, etc. LP could easily come in and headline that (if they don't have their headliners already).
  9. Thanks! Hmm, idk, I think it's ok to list it and just put Deleted in the comments. Atlanta 04 and Orlando 03 were deleted...we have a few ATL songs but not Orlando. It's worth mentioning in my opinion.
  10. Woops, sorry. I should have fact-checked a little better. I got the dates from this: http://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/pinkpop/2012/ I guess they are wrong. I fixed the main post. No not fake as far as we can tell, lol, just me being stupid.
  11. Since it's been 5 years since RaR/RiP I say it's likely they do this.
  12. Actually Holly Brook made two tracks with Mike. She's on Be Somebody too.
  13. LPLive user Frank has posted that LP is rumored to play Pinkpop this year. "A dutch radio station has confirmed that the contract between linkin park and the pinkpop festival are almost signed. Which would make sense, the 2 confirmed headliners of pinkpop attract a lot of older people(springsteen and the cure), so linkin park would be a big name for 'more younger people'. If this is true, they will be (maybe co) headlining the same day soundgarden is playing..maybe chester will perform hunger strike with them? would be awesome." Festileaks, a popular website that posts "insider" information from the music industry (including strong rumors and semi-confirmations), has actually picked up on this and posted about LP at Pinkpop in 2012. The festival occurs from May 26-28, 2012. Of course nothing is confirmed and this is only a rumor. Many rumors don't end up happening - see the Pinkpop rumor for last year and the rumor LP was playing a Parc des Princes show in France, but some do occur! Linkin Park last played Pinkpop in May 2007, their only appearance at the festival so far (show page here). A 2003 headlining show by LP there was part of the canceled 2003 summer tour. Thoughts? EDIT: LPL member anvanoppens posted about another update to this rumor here. "During the radio show, MetMichiel, he once again reveals the arrival of Linkin Park and Ben Howard. I think Jan Smith, Mr. Pinkpop, will go insane. After this week, The Cure (whispers) Linkin Park, I also dare to say that Ben Howard will be on the lovely festival."" Source.
  14. You couldn't go to one of the many Australian shows? Volunteer for MFR and that's a free ticket.
  15. That's because I hate Rihanna's voice lol. I don't like anything she's ever done that I've heard, except the Coldplay track.
  16. lol @ you guys. Hell yes this is WAY better than Rihanna's version with her vocals and way better than the big singles. These recordings are great.
  17. Skylar Grey has just put out a new digital-EP today, The Buried Sessions of Skylar Grey. It's a 3-track release, containing her full-length solo versions of several songs that she's written - "Love The Way You Lie" (Eminem and Rihanna), "Coming Home" (Diddy-Dirty Money feat. Skylar Grey), and "Words I Never Said" (Lupe Fiasco feat. Skylar Grey). As you all know, Skylar (formerly Holly Brook) was signed to LP's Machine Shop Recordings label years ago and released her debut album "Like Blood, Like Honey" on it. She went on to be featured on Fort Minor's "Where'd You Go" and "Be Somebody" and now is pursuing a solo career under her new name. "Love The Way You Lie, Pt. III (Original Demo)" has risen 40+ places on the iTunes Top Songs chart since its midnight release last night on the 17th, so far having risen to #101 as of this posting. Click the artwork below to grab your copy of the EP for $3! We wish Skylar the best of luck in the future!
  18. That's very irrelevant comparing what he's trying to compare. Usually LP does more than 1 USA tour for a CD, in fact they always have until ATS came along. Europe got two big ones is what he's saying when the US got one.
  19. Then the place to watch LP outside of your own country (unless you're already there) is...... Germany. Those fucking people go nuts for LP. That's like the LP world HQ for fans....blows the US shows out of the water. I know Brazil is really epic too but go to Germany or even Rock am Ring (damn) and you'll get an incredible experience.
  20. RHCP was supposed to play here this month but it was pushed to March/April. So only a few months break for RHCP.
  21. Surprised it took this long for another tour date rumor to pop up.
  22. Check out some video of Fort Minor rehearsing for their AOL Sessions performance in LA. While 'Where'd You Go' from that session wasn't released, you can watch a few rehearsals of it below. Holly Brook (now Skylar Grey) I believe sings the song live for the first times in this video (that we know of). This isn't VERY new but it hasn't been posted yet so I thought some people would enjoy.
  23. I didn't think it was new but I had no idea what it was at first haha, I had to replay it a few times to figure it out. Chester on guitar there was cool. Mike playing that 09 Numb>BTH transition quickly was neat.
