  1. This. I judge an album by the god damn songs on it and how they sound, not what the hell they call the album.
  2. Oooh this looks way more fun than a puzzle
  3. Ready to be victim to the 2012 Atlanta plot twist?
  4. Lost In The Echo sounds badass.
  5. 99X radio in Atlanta emailed their listeners today about a "BIG" concert announcement for this summer coming on Tuesday. 'Burn It Down' gets released on Monday 4/16 worldwide, and this announcement is the day after. It looks like Linkin Park will hit us back-to-back days with big news - a single and then a US summer tour. Most big name concerts for this summer have already announced their tours - Dave Matthews Band, 311, Mayhem Festival, etc... It seems Linkin Park is one of the only ones left out. EDIT: The black and white artwork behind the announcement image is from the 'Burn It Down' puzzle on LP.com. (Thanks to ivan_astahov) Excited?
  6. Damn this sounds awesome.
  7. Spin.com has posted a very interesting article that's well worth your read about the new Linkin Park album, which they say will be coming out in June. New song titles confirmed in the article include: "Lost In The Echo" (previously confirmed by Mike), "In My Remains", "Castle Of Glass", and "I'll Be Gone". They also confirm for the first time, a collaborator on a Linkin Park album! "Shinoda and Bennington played five of the new songs for SPIN and sure enough, they felt like an improvement on an old family recipe (albeit one you'd most likely use to piss off the rest of your family). "Lost in the Echo" featured a staccato guitar attack, tribal drums, crystalline keys and some brutal screams, but it also interweaved contemporary sub-bass boom and clangy industrial effects. "In My Remains" is both dark and triumphant, built for an arena at the end of days. The melancholic "Castle of Glass" offers a steam-engine chug and a mountain of sound while Bennington sings about being but a small crack in the titular edifice, illustrating belonging and futility in the same stroke. On "I'll Be Gone," his metallic vocals come from a character who's either forced or chooses to leave home before the sun comes up. Amidst the lo-bit glitch and seismic stomp comes an unlikely cameo: strings courtesy of Arcade Fire arranger Owen Pallett. "He's incredible," says Bennington, leaning back against the wall of the studio. "You send him notes and he's immediately like, 'I just sent you the track. Like, five minutes ago. It's done.' " Last but not least, they cue up their upcoming single, "Burn it Down," a seared but still high-sheen slab of cross-pollinated pop driven by four-on-the-floor pump and the pulse of guitars and synths irreparably fused together. Shinoda delivers his bars with force and finesse, and joins Bennington to sing: "We're building it up to break it back down / We're building it up to burn it back down / We can't wait to burn it to the ground." Are they talking about a relationship? Music? Society?" Thoughts? Source here.
  8. From the Linkin Park Facebook page: "We've just added a headline show at Romexpo in Bucharest, Romania on June 6. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, April 13." This will be the band's first show in Romania ever, making it the second country on the 2012 European summer tour to feature LP for the first time - the other being Ukraine. Who's going? For a full list of announced tour dates for this summer, click here. This show fills the four day gap between the Rock im Park and NovaRock shows so it wouldn't surprise me if this was the last show announced for Europe. Always hope for 1 more though!
  9. Epic CD name: 10 Years - Minus The Machine
  10. You consider this a good source? lmao, that's terrible quality
  11. From the LPWorldNews Blog: A Twitter account by the name of LPInTheNews posted what some assume to be the "leaked" album title and release date. Posted on the Best Buy website earlier in the day, it apparently had removed the information after it was up for a while. The information is as follows: Prototype - Linkin Park 06/05/12 Prototype - Linkin Park [CD + DVD] [Digipak] 06/05/12 Burn It Down - CD Single 15/05/12 Thoughts? Legit?
  12. http://lplive.net/shows/20070609.php http://lplive.net/shows/20080124.php http://lplive.net/shows/20080629.php Same guy that taped all 3 = pro at that
  13. Adam confirmed that was fake yesterday.
  14. Thanks for the correction! I wonder why LP said Rock Port. Is that what it is translated to English? Is the poster in Ukrainian? Look ok how I have it here? http://lplive.net/2012.php
  15. What is the proper venue name for our 2012 tour page? "Ctadion Chernomorets", "Chernomorets", "Chernomorets Stadium" or what? Or "стадіон Chernomorets"?
  16. Can anyone find the venue....? Haha I'd love to Serg but if the US tour is big I can hit more shows here....
  17. Congrats man! I bet you are so happy. I think they will do a London show or something too I would guess...or maybe a UK festival. I don't think LP has ever done a European Tour without stopping *somewhere* in the UK. One of the largest fanbases outside of Germany, Japan and the USA. Remember there are still plenty of days off between Rock im Park and NovaRock...time for more shows and room for more shows to be added.
  18. Rolling Stone just posted a piece online about the new Linkin Park record. "With this album, we've incorporated a lot of guitar work with big choruses and the heavier electronic stuff to give it that really big wall of sound feeling without getting too metal," vocalist Chester Bennington told Kerrang! "This will be more familiar to people than A Thousand Suns was, where we were like, 'Fuck it, we're just going to go bonkers.'" Thoughts on what Chester has to say? Do you think the new album will sound like Hybrid Theory and Meteora at times, or will they take that style and blend it with something new?
  19. You are like the Astat of SOB/FM/GBC/etc. Legit. Can't wait for the things we have in mind
  20. Fixed it, sorry! I suck at double checking things sometimes

  22. Rock am Ring was the plan until I heard they were doing Linkubus. Soooo I think I might do half of that tour or so instead of just 1-2 of them and Rock am Ring. But RaR would be so fucking epic. I don't know...
  23. This.
  24. Cheap as hell, wow.
  25. Hell yeah. Dirty song.
