  1. As you probably have guessed by now, it appears that the band is not headed back out on tour between now and August, when they go to Japan for Summer Sonic. Through several sources that LPLive members are probably familiar with by now (crew statements & label staff), we know there will be about five months off from tour starting now. Many of us (yes, us included) thought a European Tour was coming soon but perhaps it will now be later in 2013. Linkin Park is reportedly working on the soundtrack/score for The Mall between now and then the rumor is that they have studio time booked *after* August as well for a new album. Right now we don't know if the Japan shows will turn into a full Asian Tour (since LIVING THINGS has yet to have an Asian Tour) or if they will just use these shows as an "escape from the studio" like the 2006 Japan Tour. What we can be sure of, though, is that LP plans to spend a majority of 2013 holed up working on music. Through these five months (and whatever comes after Japan), we will definitely be releasing some more LPLive exclusives in forms of both audio and video starting shortly. So get ready.... EDIT: Rumors are of course flying around about what the band will do AFTER Summer Sonic...one of which can be found here.
  2. Pretty disappointing that a question about these didn't make it into the fan survey. They could have asked "If you have seen LP live, have you bought the recording of the show on the LP Archives website?" -> Yes / No / Show wasn't offered. "Would you be interested in buying older shows from earlier in the band's career?" Yes / No.
  3. Wow! I have never seen that video! Is that the oldest studio footage we have of Chester? That's really fucking cool...I never knew that even existed. I really like the song. Dark and raw. I agree, I'd like to hear more like this. However my favorite non-LP song he's done outside of the band is still State Of The Art (or whatever it's called, maybe even Cry To Yourself since the CD was rumored to be called State Of The Art). This is a close second though...I like both a lot better than Walking Dead. Slow Ya Roll is another great one. They're all so different. Including live performances, this is my all time favorite thing Chester has ever sang on. So much energy here. He covers a legendary song, he sounds like a fucking BOSS and he is JAMMING so big on the bridge. The man looks like he enjoys covering old rock songs (see the BoW shows too for proof of that as well as other Camp Freddy appearances) 100x more than he does playing the same LP stuff every show of every tour. Prepare to be blown away, this shit is just as epic as it gets. Can Chester just do the Zeppelin reunion tour? Way too much hate (people would blow the fuck up and be so mad) but his voice is so fucking perfect for it. 4:32 Chester BRINGS IT. Sounds better than Robert Plant. And then he just explodes. And then he covers Bullet With Butterfly Wings absolutely perfectly too. Hell I think that's Courtney Love side stage he's cutting up with LOL, and I think I see Sean Dowdell over there too. I don't think Chester has the best voice in music or anything but I really do think he sounds 100x better outside of LP when he's playing other bands' music. Listen to that scream at 4:00 on the cover of Smashing Pumpkins. I'm not all over Chester's dick like a lot of fans and I do think he struggles live now sometimes (New Divide/Crawling from Canberra 2010 for example and Given Up/New Divide a good bit recently) but he really can rock his ass off on stage and is a great frontman. Velvet Revolver or any other legit rock band would love to have him as their singer and that's a legit fact. These Camp Freddy stars would not be constantly inviting him back to rock with them if they didn't think he was an amazing singer (Slash likes Chester a good bit, for example). Some rock band with Navarro, Chester and some other good musicians would be the shit.
  4. But for example if it went up today on eBay, you know we could pull together here at LPLive and get it purchased for sure. At that time maybe no one wanted to pay $2k but we'd definitely pay it now. For instance the Hybrid Theory demo with She Couldn't was like $1,200 for 6 songs and that was audio, and that was just the one I bought that sold *second*. Nick also bought one before that for us. Altogether it was what, like almost $1,500 we spent just for that CD and we released it for free? No one had the same mindset when Xero was up though I guess. I'm actually surprised Nick didn't grab it. Or maybe he did and we don't know lol I don't have that kind of money but I wouldn't hesitate grabbing a few people, tossing in everything I could and trying to get the Xero show. But since no one ever posted afterwards that they had it, maybe LP management or something put in a bid for like $5,000 and made sure they were going to get it. Perhaps it really was impossible for us to get it anyway.
  5. Add the Xero show. If System exists from the same day then Xero was recorded I'm sure. It might be real, you never know. It's the community's fault collectively for not finding a buyer and helping him get it. I wish I was active on some forum back then.... haha.
  6. This is for the RT stuff, not the stuff that just the taper has. The stuff more than 1 person has. The stuff we could get someday. If just the taper has it it's likely we won't get it.
  7. After he bullshitted me for years about giving it to me, he lost the master. Epic. So he has a 2nd gen video left but he doesn't want to upload it for some reason. I have several videos of him and his girlfriend at the time shooting videos of them in front of the TV like "WHAT'S UP MARK HERE'S REMEMBER THE NAME" and they pan to the TV with RTN from Toronto playing. And a few other clips. I ended up getting the full audio (FLAC) of the show from him from this source, so I do have that. I will release it if you all want it. I was just sitting on it because I thought the video would surface. Cyro is inactive as far as I know...I don't know how to contact him other than his name is Bobby but how many Toronto people are there named Bobby on Facebook lol. If I could get a contact, I'd ask him about the full thing. He promised it as an LPL exclusive many many times but we all know how that turned out. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showuser=129 http://www.youtube.com/user/CyroCZ https://www.google.com/search?q=TheRealCyro...lient=firefox-a http://www.linkinparkforums.com/member.php?u=3644 As most people's hotmail accounts are inactive these days I doubt he'd reply.
  8. This is for improvements to the actual site. We don't even have that full show.
  9. This is what, the third time they've done this survey since 2007?
  10. We've tried before (we've tried quite a few times) and the guy wanted like $25,000 or something ridiculous. Not $2,500 (which we could do for sure) but $25,000 or something. Insane.
  11. Hamburg 2007 and Hamburg Fort Minor. Antinea's Paris Tony Hawk DBS show right? You guys are fucking awesome. You really help me out a lot. I will see ASAP if we can get some of these released very soon.
  12. Fantastic idea. I thought we already did this but no, we only do it to an extent. This isn't hard to implement at all and can be done pretty easily with 1-2 days of work max probably. I definitely want to do this. On the year pages we are going to make it list if a DSP was released or not already, so we might as well add a logo for an official release too.
  13. CookieMonster what are your thoughts on this? 8 minute Knights or under 3 minute LGM?
  14. Yeah, I don't like Linkin Park and I go to 6, basically 7 Honda Civic Tour shows, haha. Just because it's a new song doesn't mean you have to like it. LGM comes off terrible live because Chester doesn't scream the second half of the song like the studio version. All in all I don't really like the track to begin with. I do like POWERLESS though...I'd like to see that played. And COG is cool.
  15. Sounds good man, no rush at all since there is nothing going on for months haha. We will feature them as downloads here with Newswire posts if you want I think it'd be cool. If you get a chance, is there any way you can supply us with info on each one? Like what shows you recorded, size, length, etc.
  16. The problem with that show is that LP management feels like the band needs a show or two to "get going" on tour. They could have easily sold that show. That was why there was no M&G. They didn't think LP was necessarily tired or anything but that they weren't exactly 100% ready to play a full show to their pull potential after a year off. Something like that.
  17. I am probably the biggest fan of the rotating banners system we had...I want it back really badly haha. These are all great suggestions. We will see what we can do.
  18. That would be Cory.
  19. What are some things you'd like to see done differently on LPLive? Changed? Added? New features? Use this thread to discuss all of that. For example something I know a lot of people want to see is a mobile version of LPLive.
  20. Yes, I will add all the other sites that have supported it shortly
  21. Because Linkin Park is Shinoda's baby, that's his band. Yeah everyone contributes musically but Mike overall writes more songs than anyone else and spends days holed up in the studio doing LP shit. I can go into a huge explanation but LP is really Mike's band with a great singer and some other instrumentalists.
  22. I really bet they could not release MFR 2005 without huge discussions with Jay-Z about it. Literally half the show is the Collision Course album in full. Road To Revolution had to have really big talks with Jay's label apparently and it was just 2 songs he appeared on. But they did release the RTR DSP and the MSG DSP, so who knows. For me: Any Projekt Revolution 2004 show, any Japan 2006 show, any 2003 show. I'd love anything they have. I hope it can be done!
  23. Huge thanks to Mikey for talking with Shinoda at the Perth M&G about this. Confirmed that Mike has now seen this and thinks the idea is cool. Fucking great job everyone on this.
  24. Everyone working together here is the cool part for me. I would love to hear some older shows. Hopefully this works! And yes, I believe if they released some older shows people would be more inclined to buy them versus steal, since the material will be more "quality" than say, a 2011 show. Just an example. We will add you to the list Thanks! A post on your site and social media about it would be great.
