ALTNC is fine. Idk if It's Goin' Down is going to be part of this release.
If we count all the LP singles by LP, excluding collars, they would fill an entire CD, so maybe neither Steve Aoki single is feature.
PS: Wouldn't that be funny that, we're all here debating and in the end nothing happens?

Please no Darker than Blood please. and the OSC 100gecs reanimation remix
Don't think that mainstream fans (which are the target of a Greatest Hits album, not us) crave for those

If there isn't any new Burn it Down or Catalyst unreleased remix I'm gonna be seriously disappointed and pissed off
-
Take it with a pinch of salt

Question is, why now?

Is it wrong to dream or at least think about something for Collision Course's 20th anniversary?
I'm really hoping too! But this whole Greatest Hits/New Track is going to bury CC under the radar... 20 years later again
-
A OML B-side would be as exciting for me as the whole album.
Zero interest.
PS: Just to make it clear, I'm not against the idea of releasing it, I'm glad if they do because many of you will be happy about it, but for me is uninteresting

You know what would be cool? Instead of putting the regular songs on CD, put some alternate versions that doesn't differ too much from the final version. For example, the Shadow of the Day from iTunes 2013, the ECW mix of One Step Closer... And some live tracks here and there. It highly improbable, but dreaming is for free

Who needs streaming? The quality is awful.
Yeah, but it's a fast and easy way to consume any music you like. That's why it's so popular nowadays

How much do you have to spend to get the entire Meteora 20 on vinyl?

I'd give everything for a full Third Encore set on this release. I hope there's more than yet released.
A "best of" from rehearsal would be great. We don't need 5 identical versions of What I've Done, but the best take of Faint, Pushing Me Away... I'd like that.

You know what man
Complaining or whatever you wanna call it sometimes it's positive
Because of the LPU 8 shit storm they gave us an insane release next year.
Mike for sure knows that some fans are pissed off I wonder if he will actually do something about it.
That's right, sometimes fans feedback is positive, although I feel that, in other times, we feel a little bit entitled. The latest LPU CDs gave me the feeling that they were made as an contractual obligation, not because they really wanted to share something with us. The LPU Sixteen was barring the bottom of the barrel for me. A back to OG LPUs would have been nice, specially after the death of DSPs. But, you know, you can't just make all fans happy all the time. Being this Already Over campaign a great example.

In no particular order
-Heavy single release
-OML album leak
-LPU8
-Early years LP were the BSB of the nu metal community
The LPU8 pissed me off completely. I was 17 at the time and didn't got the joke, but it prepared me for better jokes like Recharged.

I don't know what's the point of so many remixes/videogame scores/whatever of AO, but for sure he's becoming relevant again.
I rather have this heated discussions about a track than see this forum become a nuclear wasteland like between 2021-2022, where we had ZERO activity from Mike and the band (yes, he produced a few tracks for indie artists, but you get the point).
I miss those shitstorms, they were funny and helped to keep the fanbase alive.
LP might take one or two suggestions from hardcore fans, but it's not like our discussions affected the band's trajectory.
For me, keep releasing stuff Mike, whatever it is.
3 hours ago, Somebodyangry said:It's pretty obvious tha this release is not for us but for videogaming/marketing purposes and stuff like that. I couldn't care less about it, i heard it fast forwarding almost every track, it is what it is, it's there, will never listen to it again but I am not hating, waiting for the next project, hoping I'll enjoy it
Exactly, that has always been the point with LP. Don't you like their newest stuff? Wait 'till the next one, you might like it
We should do a poll:
Which has been your favorite shitstorm in the LP community?

IF only they didn't stop the recording after CC in studio session.
then we could've hear Jay-Z rapping as part of 20th release.
Jay ask them to turn off every device.

The band seemed less interested in Meteora 20 than Hybrid Theory 20 overall.
Really???? Saw them more invested during this last anniversary than in 2020, which was kind of depressing

This is one of the topics that can easily and spectacularly backlash if something finally happen, but what the hell, let's gamble.
As the title says, while I'd love to have a new reissue, I've got a feeling that this anniversary is basically going to be ignored, but there's various factors that make me think that.
1. Another reissue, so soon?
Mike and Warner knows that the box sets are a risky product. They are expensive to produce and not everyone is willing to pay 200 euros, dollars, pounds, for those.
Making another reissue could be seen a cashgrab from the outside and not something special that happens every few years and worth investing your money in.
2. Forget about boxsets, lower the bar.
For now, both boxsets have been a success thanks to nostalgia and tons of discarded material to choose from.
While nostalgia for Numb/Encore could be translated to some selling (basically, people lurking the LPLive forums), there's not much to include.
The original 99 problems/1step klsr? 99 problems/don't stay? We could run our imagination wild and thinking about thousands of remixes, but the truth is Mike is quite picky when it comes to choosing remixes (except for 2013...). So any b-side besides the ones we know would be undone remixes and boring beats. And even in the best scenario possible, a new remix that melts our face off... Still a remix.
The main appeal of the boxsets has been the newer tracks, the possibility of hearing Chester once again, that kind of excitement isn't going to happen with a mash up.
Lowering the bar means something more conventional. CD/DVD with a full show, perhaps 2CDs/DVD... Nothing too fancy, and I'll be very grateful for that.
3. Copyright is the name of the game.
Once we've thrown out of the window the boxset, we have to face another issue. We all know that when it comes to Jay Z and its label (which I think is Roc Nation), dealing with royalties, copyright and all that jazz is a living hell. Not because Jay Z doesn't want to collaborate with the band, it's just that this business is tricky when it comes down to split the money. Let alone of they decide to include something from the Live 8
Is it worthy all of this headache just for a small reissue made for hardcore fans? The band cares about its fans, but I'm afraid the answer is no, they gave us huge amounts of material this past 3 years.
As many of you have said, best we can hope for is a YouTube video from the first five songs of the Roxy show, but we will have to wait if Warner is generous enough and allows it.
Now is the time in the comments when you type that I'm fucking wrong. I hope to be...

Honestly, that's the holy grail for me right now. I just want more RME soundboard recordings.
Japan 06 would be nice since we'd get a proshot too!
It's already a crime that this song was tossed from the set at Milton Keynes. Imagining this alternate reality always haunts me.
And no Jay Z in the set.
PS: I love Collision Course but I don't like a half cooked Numb/Encore and Jigga What/Faint taking the place of the original song

100% PR goes CHESTERS LAST SONG and YT/TikTok will be like THIS IS HIS CRY OUT FOR HELP, HIS FINAL MESSAGE even though the songs will be written entirely by Mike and a featured producer.
For those people even Underground 8 is the ultimate proof of his suicidal thoughts
From HT to MTM, prior to the "boxset era" we had certain knowledge of band's officially unreleased demos, whether we've actually heard them or not: Pictureboard, She Couldn't, Grecian... So, we can make our wishlists. In other words, We know that we don't know things, BUT songs like Lost totally slipped under our radar, and proved us that in the end, we don't know what we don't know. I'm pretty sure that in every album there's potentially some more Lost-esque tracks ready to blow the charts off.
While ATS-onwards is the great unknown, we barely know any demos besides the ones released on the LPU, so we can be surprised with anything and it's hard to make any guess.
Speaking of live stuff, I categorize them in two groups: The Live album/DVD stuff, like Rock am Ring 01, Nottingham 03, or Projekt Revolution 02, which could be sold to a mainstream audience, since their quality is superb.
The SBD stuff: Fillmore 01, Manilla 04, Denver 04, which is practically taken straight from the mixing desk and published. Its sound is way more raw, and it's meant for us, basically.
Between both, I think we can basically ask for anything.
I think that the SBD stuff will be more common, but having into account that technology has been improving since 2007 and we know of quite a few shows from MTM and beyond with perfect quality, I think the next box sets are gonna be even better regarding to live recordings.
Just expect the unexpected.

This show at Summer Sonic 06 is every fan's dream.
The MTM 20th should follow the same pattern as the meteora 20.
remembering that in 2027 Tape Xero will be 30th and also 10th since Chester's Death.
I don't think they'll sacrifice a proper MTM show from 07-08 for a in-between-eras show, even though we're craving for it. Hope they prove me wrong. I just have little hope about it

Blue Room, then?

Guys, since you're here, I was sneaking out the 2007 rehearsals, and I have a couple questions about it. https://lplive.net/shows/2007/200703xx-5 The WID version from this show, was the same from that digital single WID (Live) released only on the German iTunes store?
What was a MVI disc? A few videos that you could download from that disc, a enhanced video, like those included in early 2000 releases? What other content had that MVI?
Thanks

We actually can't confirm FTI at this time - it isn't Hamburg like it was commonly thought for 15+ years. The show is unknown.
Dumb question, but how did you guys realized that it wasn't Hamburg? Could be from any February/March 03 show or just from the ones there aren't any recordings to check?

Sure, 2021 and 90% of 2022 were horrendous. No news, no hype, just emptiness. I hope we never return to that.
