To be honest, this is quite the Saudi Arabia show, a "bonus" show where I don't expect anything really interesting but looking forward to the next tour length

Great swap with POA instead of Crawling. No point to keep Crawling around so much if Emily is letting the crowd sing so much of it. Make that a Hybrid Theory rotation spot and throw in another song - Runaway?
Perhaps Emily has some troubles with it (even Chester had them!) or she isn't a big fan of the song. I like the song being played so soon and sung by majority of the crown. That's refreshing for me

If Friendly Fire got its shot early just because of Papercuts, THIS is the place to debut Qwerty. Mike can't play fool this time, he knows we really want it

Oh no, I'll explain better.
Nick did so much of this work in the era BEFORE YouTube even existed. It was MySpace days, trading lists on sites, FTP servers, email lists, etc. There was no Facebook or Twitter or Instagram, anything like that. Imagine trying to order "bootleg" CDs in the mail from Japan by mail slip doing this. He did it. Imagine trying to track people down with no social media - he did it. Nick would obtain these shows, transfer them and post them everywhere. This is why SO MANY of the 2000-2007 shows exist online, because of his work. He would spend years going on just a rumor that a show existed and he'd track it down and post it for free for fans.
Torrent sites, FTP servers, forums, these were the mediums in which he would release them. If in 2005/6, he got the show from Yokohama 2003 (which remained extremely hard to get for years), he'd post it on a forum or in an mIRC chat for fans. This is the origin is a LOT of LP tapes. In later years he worked with @felipeintheend to get shows and they both were really successful at it too. LPLive was created in 2005 and eventually became a platform for Nick (and Felipe) to release shows on. Music For Relief 2005 is one of those.
He never made a YouTube account to post shows on because so much of his work was done years and years before that. He saw LP on the very early tours and from that point was interested in getting recordings to share with fans.
To explain it easily for the people that have joined the fanbase from MTM and beyond - the reason you can go on YouTube or other platforms (or Google in general) and type in "Linkin Park Inglewood 2004", or "Linkin Park Tokyo 2003", or "Linkin Park Music for Relief 2005", or a LOT of other shows, is because Nick figured out how to track people down, get the shows, and post them online for fans.
Besides that he was also huge in the trading scene, he got a Xero tape which helped us immensely as finally someone close to LPLive was able to obtain a Xero tape. When he was selling his collection (a LOT of items) in later years, he was known for just selling very expensive LP items to fans for almost nothing - the cost of shipping, or just $100 on a $1,500 item. He was truly selfless and kind.
One day he called me out of the blue and said "hey man, wake up, I have an unreleased LP song called She Couldn't. You need to hear this." That was in 2009. Nick is the entire reason She Couldn't made it into the hands of fans.
He is a massive cornerstone of this community and his work is all over this website/Linkinpedia, YouTube, torrent sites, the community at large, and even the Internet at large. Just think - setlistfm has all of these early LP sets now because Nick found recordings. Etc. It is truly an impressive BODY of work by him and because he was so "in the shadows" or reserved online, and didn't want to take credit for things personally himself, I don't think a lot of people even know/knew or understand what he did for the Linkin Park community.
I remember the day he found the Palladium 2001 VHS. I remember when Yokohama 2003 finally arrived at his house. I remember when he taped Bamboozle 2007 and Camden 2008. Just truly an icon in the LP world.
Honored to have known him and VERY MUCH appreciate his trust, knowledge, and support of LPLive. The LPLive project started in 2005 and he was a major player in it and was super supportive like - "yeah there are a lot of great fansites out there, but I think you can do this idea for a LIVE-only website and be successful with it, we can fill in details no one else knows and be super accurate." Those were conversations we would have.
I hope this helps explain.
LOL @neil. That's great.
Ironically listened to Bamboozle 2007 last night. What makes that recording so much fun is the Jersey crowd around him: "OMG MIKE SHINODA IS SO HOT OMG", after Mike asks how many people have been around since Hybrid Theory the guy next to Nick yells "WOW WHAT ABOUT WHEN YOU **WERE** HYBRID THEORY?!?!?!?" hahahaha. Nick and I would joke about the people on that tape randomly for years. So he was the main archivist of the band when basically nobody would care about LP's recordings? Truly amazing

Didn't knew of his existence before but... What a bummer

Great post. Hope you have fun today!!

For me OML was a bad album. Not because it has mellow pop songs (MTM anybody?), but because for the first time in their career the songs sounded generic and impersonal (despite the lyrics). Having to hire outside writers, the fact that after year and a half they had only finished 10/12 songs that in another era of the band, they would have been automatically dismissed on the early phases, makes me think the band had a creative block at that time, but after beating the bush for some time, they had to come up with something for Warner, which I suppose wasn't very happy with THP.
I know, this is just a wild guessing from my part but this is what this era sounds to me
PS: Although the tour was one of the best in many years, to be honest.

Alex learned how to play A Place for My Head correctly!
Massive upgrade over 2024. That's how it's supposed to sound. Now, LFY and POA will be next lolAnd that's why I didn't like to have and official live release (Sao Paulo) so soon in the tour. Songs are not reaching yet it's full potential

I found this stream on Youtube but it was not the full concert. Anyone know if the full concert is available somewhere?
No as far as we know

I didn’t buy this model because I’m not a big fan of basketball jerseys.
I’m very grateful for that, my friend. Now, you also go on some adventures out there, my companion from the Bogotá show.
About the From Zero versions, I think I have everything I want. I bought three more vinyls but they had a problem at the post office, so I shouldn't try to buy anything else.
Overall, I have pretty much everything I want. I have all the main albums, all the CD singles and most of the LPU CDs. Now I'm just buying what's missing, such as vinyls and cassettes. You can see my full collection here (without the shirts) but the photo is outdated since I bought some singles, LPU CDs, vinyls, HT20 and Meteora20 since then.
Now, I'm far from being one of the biggest collectors. There are many people with much more stuff than me.
I don't identity items, what are they?
The Big black box at the left of THP vinyl
The black CD at the left of the Twilight OST
The DVD case at the right of the Frat Party DVD

Thank you for reminding me that this should never be released outside digital platforms. 🤣
As for the album itself, so far I’ve bought two vinyl records, one CD, two cassettes, and three CDs single. You can see here.
Now, if we’re considering clothing items like you mentioned, I’m not exactly sure because I bought a lot of FZ stuff at last year’s shows. 😅
Below is what I bought specifically at the shows you can see here.
As I didn’t know if could add the images directly here in the thread, I added them in links.
Now, answering your question: About the amount, I honestly don’t know. I’m a little scared to find out. 😅 Maybe more than 400 USD? I think so…
Seriously impressive, I'm not much as a hardcore collector as you. Once I have something in one format (specially CDs) I don't buy it again. Is there something that you don't have yet?

Please, stick to the idea of a digital-only release. I can't take spending money on From Zero anymore. 🫠
These kind of releases are too hardcore-fan oriented to not be profitable enough. So I wouldn't worry hahahaha. BTW, how much did you spend? I just bought the Digipack, a t-shirt and the emptiness machine single. Can think anything else beside some vinyls

LP guys are down to earth people, pretty sure that they would love to have Rob back one last show.
Even Metallica invited some ex members to perform with them (im not a Metallca fan but i know that Mustaine and Jason Newsted were not in good terms with the other members)
Mustaine has been an ongoing love/hate relationship even today (although somewhat softened). Newsted on the other hand, reconciled with the band back in 2009, 8 years after his departure

Is the audio SBD?

Would be cool if they film some songs that weren't part of the setlist last year and having them as bonus for a foreseeable Live release

SO INSECUUUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I didnt remember that he was at the music video shoot loooool
the problem with Ryu and SOB its that they always saw themselves as FM members... technically speaking they never were.. even in the tracklist it was always written (FEAT STYLES OF BEYOND)
Seems like Mike was going to do something big with FM after OML but you know what happened and everything changed.
RIP FM.
Well, after all that has happened since, the demise of FM is the lesser evil. I miss it too

I left during MTM era because of the change in their sound. At that time, I could not even share it to my friends because they thought LP became a boyband due to the soft songs that album had. My friends will share that LP has the best trilogy (HT, Reanimation, Meteora). I had a room mate saying that LP's lead vocalist died during MTM era because he thinks Chaz sounded like a different person due to the minimal fry scream and more on melodic vocals.
I returned during New Divide era and heavily following the band's activities all the way to A Thousand Suns era. A bloke was laughing when I played The Catalyst and asked me if that's LP? and I replied Yes. This bloke responded, "What the hell happened to this band, bro? They used to be great, they sucked now".
My story is similar to yours. After many years of anticipation, MTM was a disappointment and a betrayal to me (I was 16, so...). I keep up with the band during that cycle, because the album keep growing on me. But by the time of New Divide I lost interest on them, not because of the song, just because I grew up and started to listen more stuff and LP sounded very "childish" to me, just like the people @LeonardoMF93 mentioned they stopped paying attention after Meteora.
When The Catalyst came out, I was already uninterested in the band and and for me was the final nail in the coffin.
But ironically I returned when Burn it Down came out and they played a legacy setlist at that European Tour. While I wasn't a big fan of Burn it Down, I guess the song fulfilled its role, it brought back many fans. And not only that, now I consider ATS their best record.

The only reason The Rising Tied didn't achieve the same success as those three albums you mentioned is that it wasn't released as a Linkin Park album.
Imagine Chester singing some of the songs and it being marketed as a Linkin Park album. It might have ended up being the third most important album in the band's discography due to a potential massive commercial success.
That's why I find it very naive when people on social media say that Linkin Park should have come back under a different name. The Linkin Park brand is huge, and The Rising Tied is an example of that because it's one of the best albums we have, yet it's not as widely remembered outside of our fan community.
Absolutely, Lp were the biggest band in the world in 2004/2005, anything they touch became gold. Even a Enjoy the Silence Remix had an impressive amount of airplay! They could have done a Collision Course tour and make an stadium tour. So yeah, basically in 2005 they "lose momentum" by not touring. Even though they deserved a break, of course.
-
I'm impressed I didn't knew that there was so much material, both released and unreleased. But again, I'm skeptical about this release and it has nothing to do with the "main" band.
Besides Remember the Name, I don't remember that the album was a HUGE success. By no means a failure, but not enough to justify a gargantuan boxset like we've seen in the past years. Besides the hardcore fans, not many people are gonna be interested in some parallel project from 20 years ago.
We would be lucky if we had some sort of 2CD edition or something like that.

Is this legit?

In terms of content, MTM should really have more interesting things.
The interest in ATS is something personal. It’s my favorite album, and I really like its visual art.MTM could have two discs with completely different music. Whereas ATS, while also my favorite, all the songs would be more "cohesive" and similar. I don't know If I explained myself properly

Do you guys really think the band will ever be interested in releasing old demos after the lineup change?
I’d love to see those demos, but I think, commercially speaking, it wouldn’t make sense for them to focus on the old lineup. In my opinion, the HT20 and Meteora20 releases only happened because of the hiatus. After all, those could have been released on the 10th anniversary of those albums. Well... Let’s see what happens for the 20th anniversary of Minutes to Midnight.
I agree with you on that, hate to play the IFs game, but if Chester would still be alive, they would be too busy with whatever thing to be wasting time with anniversaries of any kind, the celebration would be something in the vein of APFMH in Paris 2010, they played HT at Download just for the money, basically.
Regarding MTM, if the album would have came out in 2005, you can be sure that we wouldn't have anything, but in 2027, when the new lineup will be well established and perceived as proper members and not usurpers (people are gonna people), then we might get a chance.
Was [Already Over] a decoy?
in Everything Linkin Park
Posted
YES.
When they were planning the release of Meteora 20 they'd probably guess that the hype would be big, perhaps a little bit more than in Hybrid Theory 20, since they weren't grieving at that time and the world had just assumed that Chester was gone for good. But Lost makes a massive impact and the hype completely explodes in a way no one could have predicted. So yeah, the Already Over single was a way to cool down the ambience and makes us believe that Mike is keeping up with the 2020/22 route and nothing interesting is going to happen soon. We wouldn't turn our attention to LP and let them work in the shadows.
