Does anyone think that this is actually a problem?
No

When it's released, download it. lol
It happened with Pearl Jam Pinkpop 92 when they released it, and a few days later it was removed due to copyright issues.
I'm happy to watch this show
I really don't get that kind of shitty tricks from the labels. It's a show from 1992 released by the festival, if you could make any profit of it you would have done it already

This has been one of the best tour ever from the band. The US tour 2 has gonna have a hard time keeping up the level
-
What I would do: showing up the release in theaters, then release a different show (Wembley, Berlin...) for an official DVD and include songs that aren't on the 2025 setlist anymore (LOATR, BTH...) as bonus tracks.

Finishing with In the End and Faint, that's so 2007... Love it!!

One of the best sets of the tour, no joke

Wonder why they canned the release...

Seems like there'll have been a specific, purposeful decision made at some point to have no livestream for now. We can only speculate why.
My best guess would be that they're very aware of getting every aspect of this comeback right, and they're just being very protective of how their show is presented. They have control of the live show, and control over their own video releases, but don't necessarily have full quality control over how a local livestream broadcaster presents the show. I think now, more than any other time in the band's history and with so much riding on this comeback being a success, they'll be protective of what they have and how it's presented to the world. Let the world judge the comeback by the album and by attending a concert in-person - not by a random third-party livestream. Just my guess!
I get what you said, but dozens of bad quality YT videos won't "hurt" the comeback but a decent quality pro shot will, it has zero logic. The tour has been VERY lucrative and successful, we're not in September 24. This is just control freaks on board.

Who blocks official livestreams from festivals? Warner, management or the band on its own? Surely someone from this environment. It seems to me that they want all the live material they release to be polished and mixed as best as possible.
It's pretty absurd. The supposed recording of Sao Paulo for cinemas didn't stop the Brazilian TV to show a Livestream. I really don't get the point of forbid livestreams like we were in 2007

I’ll take GATS over ALITS, a bit more energy. I have seen both live and especially the extended intro for ALITS killed the vibe lol. People were doing all kinds of stuff during that
It was too early in the set, where the most energetic songs should be. Perhaps in the mid-later part of the show as a transition from ballad/slow songs to the aggressive last part of the main set of opening the encore would have been better. But that's just me

I mean why playing GATS or ALITS when you have CTB?
in other words: those songs are great but won’t fit in the live environment of LP.
GATS and ALITS were great live. Even more, I'll die in this hill once more, ALITS would be a great show closer

So great! Loved it.
This is one show they really, really need to release in audio or video somehow. If Brazil is coming out then Live at Wembley on audio and vinyl/streaming. Something.
A Live CD/Vinyl would be great. I understand that being a light day show doesn't looks so spectacular for a DVD, but since LP professionally records many of their shows, any chance for this to be the case?

Time to record that live show...

2014-2015 felt like "Biggest hits featuring one or two random new tracks we'll shelve at the first opportunity". Come on. It was their "carnivore" tour, it should have felt like it, with 7-8 songs from the record being played on a constant basis. Something like "War" would have been pretty easy, in theory, to add to any set. Takes like 2 minute, and the solo could have been whatever live, it's not like it's very "purposeful" on the record either ^^'
To some extend, the same issue plagued the Living Things cycle as well. So many tracks from that album left unperformed.
That's my biggest complain, they weren't a band with 20+ years of history and a bunch of filler albums to be relying on a greatest hits setlist. They've always taken huge risks and during 2012-15 I have the feeling that some of the band didn't believe in the new material

Let's be clear from the start, I was a fan of the infamous DJ set, even though I know it's despised by many, but stick with me, I think I can prove that wasn't so terrible as some of you think.
It was the first time that the band divided the set in acts, and even though I consider the One More Light tour the blueprint of the current FZ tour (as both have long setlists with small variations each shoe, rather than 3 or 4 very distinct sets), the DJ set planted the seed with its acts.
Some argue that the main problem was to have this kind of show when you're presenting your heaviest album to date, and while it certainly this is partially to blame, the real reason was this: Expectations
Let's rewind back to 2009. After a fantastic tour with numerous setlists, they did a small one during summer just because they wanted to (yes, I know about New Divide but one song doesn't justify a tour). Despite have one unique setlist I haven't seen many detractors of that setlist. Why almost nobody complain about having just one setlist? Because people knew that it was just a short tour and they didn't expect that much. It was just a "bonus" tour, so whatever it comes will be appreciated.
But having that same setlist for an entire year after having rotating setlist? That doesn't work at all. Look at the early ATS European tour, how it started and how it ended.
If they had played the DJ tour during an hypothetical "Recharged" tour with 20 dates or so, it would have been remembered under a very different light.
But essentially having the same setlist (with a couple of variations here and there) for a lengthy year, is exhausting... Specially after three tours with numerous variations.
Why they didn't change the setlist at all until 2015? This is just a theory but first, I think the DJ was Mike's final culmination of endless live variations of songs over the years. Even though they still create new intros and variations, none of them haven't gone so far as in that setlist, and obviously you don't renounce to your "masterpiece" so soon.
And second, the setlist was doomed to fail, born under an album that most of the band didn't believe in, the easiest thing was to past through the tour dates and call it a day. They didn't rehearse most of the album because most of them weren't on board with the new songs. Even in 2015 when they returned to an old format, we had the same issue of one setlist, but I think that by that time, LP was a tired band. And even though I'm not a huge fan of OML, the tour proved that they had a new energy and enthusiasm.
The DJ set was a great idea, but by all means, born under the worst circumstances.

One of the biggest flaws in LP's history was to barely reschedule cancelled shows, with one particular winter tour being the prime example of it. I'm glad that in this new era they aim to correct that
-
Very happy with 2025 so far. Long shows, lot of tracks played... The more we see the more I believe they should release a proper live album.

Newsletter won't be show-by-show but will have highlights, yeah. It's like 3-4 sentences each for 3 topics.
But this is the one spot on the Internet to come to learn every single thing about every show lol. The LPA one is a bit shorter. https://www.lpassociation.com/forum/threads/june-12-2025-nickelsdorf-austria-nova-rock-2025.47233/
Agreed. Did not know the Berlin show was 75,000 either. That is going to be a massive show.
Rock Werchter was streamed in 2024 and 2023. That seems like a lock unless LP says no, which it doesn't make sense why they would say no since they are building the new era of the band. Seems like we can get that one.
2017 wasn't also streamed? I think the days of Warner overprotecting the LP brand are long gone.
We have a month ahead full of shows, how lucky we are.

I have a rule when it comes to live releases: You can edit, but don't add/record anything that wasn't there in the first place. Let me give you an example, cleaning up the mix to sound better: crunchier guitars, making the audience audible if it's buried among the instruments... You get the point. But when it comes to use parts from other performances if you fuck up something or rerecord vocals in studio because your throat was sore... That's where I draw the line.
This is my personal take, I don't expect anyone else to like it, or to be the right perspective on this matter.
LP hasn't gone so far to make a KISS, if you know what I mean. But when the bootleg and the official live recording have notable differences, it doesn't sits well to me.

Ryan from NIN Live says it takes about 20+ hours of work for one show to remove clicks - if it doesn't drive you insane first. That might be nearly impossible for someone to do on a 2h+ show. Seems wild.
This appears to be Joe's IEM mix? It's counting down every time there is a DJ moment in the show.
The Brazil thing looks like an upscale of the TV airing, which is pretty poor quality.
You mean the TV live broadcast that will supposedly go into theaters someday this year?
-
Haven't listened yet, is it worth to download it? I mean, is the quality acceptable?
-
Would they have the privilege to play 2 hours?

I was at that venue in 2023 watching Motley Crue and it's too small for a band such as LP. I don't expect them to be as popular as they are in Central Europe, but the promoters have been too cautious. I'm pretty sure they would have sold out the Wizing Arena, which for those outside Spain, it's similar to the O2 Arena in London in terms of capacity.
-
I completely forgot that the tickets went on sale today. And them I found this. Fucking fantastic.
