Yes...I would expect many more hits from back then to be there, actually.

You are right about Lost and Friendly Fire, and there will definitely be more hits from the other albums, too. I just hope they will feel well enough at some point to release them.

Some people took it as "Lost is a mediocre song" but my take was and is that Lost was a huge success due to nostagia and right timing. 20+ years has passed since the nu-metal peak in the mainstream world and now it's "cool" again to reivindicate that genre. 10 years ago that wasn't possible. Second, we millenians we've reached out that age (around 30s) where we start to idealize that music of our youth. I'm a hardcore fan, like many of you, but many of my peers just listened the first two records (three if we count Reanimation) and gave up during MTM because, basically as a teenagers we didn't want anything to do with our "childish music". Which takes me to my third point: The song has this classic LP vibe, so many of those who ignored the band beyond 2007 now they feel connected the band again.  That third point didn't happened with She Couldn't, it wasn't your classic LP song, as simple as that. Not even the pandemic helped She Couldn't to have more visibility.

Based on this, we have two roads ahead of us:

If the new song it's a What I've Done part 2, as Lost was similar to Numb, then yeah, you'll probably have another huge hit, since WID, BIO and New Divide are basically the songs post-2004 that kept the interest of the mainstream crowd.

On the other hand, if we're talking about a Blackbirds, In Pieces, No Roads Left esque song, then you're for a big disappointment for the big crowds, and could happen like with She Couldn't, people could care less.

How is it too late when we are still in 2025 and we are talking about spring 2027?
Digging for demos from 2005-2007 should be way easier for LP than digging for demos from 1998-2003.

Tough question, they have way more demos from the 2005-2007 I believe. And I would dare to say they even have even more songs on more advanced phase, akin to Massive or More the Victim. I think they are gonna have a harder time curating what's in the boxset

I still don't understand why Korn doesn't want to release this track after Chester passed away I thought that they were going to release it as a tribute but still nothing happened.

    Any update on this?

Probably legal reasons and no one with lack of self control to accidentally leak it

Ap was mentioning Mike a few times in the interviews, Mike was in one of his videos, he mentioned him on the "Get Busy Commettee - Uzi Does It", and I have thoughts about it, but after seeing this video, I'm not sure anymore if my thoughts are correct. It kind of feels like he changed a bit what he was thinking about Mike. Or maybe I'm wrong about it.

    What do you mean?

Yeah, too bad that to remove transition they also remove portion of intro/outro of some songs. That sucks. But it is what it is. Shame.

Also, not sure about it but if they use the CD source, I mean if they use the 16-bit lossless that they have and then export it to 24-bit/96.0kHz then it is out of sense too in that case.

It's weird, for sure. If they had the master tracks they could just have remove the transition without cutting anything. For example, leaving the last scratch on SMSTYM, instead of finish up with the Chester talking sample.

These are minor complains, the HT20 case was way worst, but I mean, after spending months preparing this box set, I feel that they could have avoided these issues

  6. So basically the only "real" loss was Easier to Run, right? I mean, the removal of certain transitions is part of the game to make everything run as smooth as possible, and the loss of a couple of seconds of crowd noise in Crawling... I can live with that. But if you cut dialogue for me is a failure. Just my personal take

I’m sorry directly to you for saying that. And Trumtram thanks for pointing this out. About me. It’s something I’m thinking about now and will try to be more mindful of.

Nah dude, don't worry, no hard feelings. Life has shit enough to be worried about this

Wells that’s nice to know! And nobody is always 💯 positive or correct anyways. I’m surely not always positive, I will have my moments like when I read the Coke thing. But I’m sorry for calling someone an idiot. I didn’t have to insult anyone

    That was me

You luck bastard. Those specific european summer shows didn't get a proper professional release for whatever reason until Milton Keynes (aside of Madrid and Lisboa) that didn't included RME. You got to experience some great perfomances throughout the years over there

Hoping that with the MTM20 they gives up a link to download all the DSPs from 2007/2008

Yeah I also loved Slip it was more like a LP B side.

I used to love it when it came out, I also felt like a gangsta kid just like Mike, his attitude was cool back in 05 but now that I look back it's extremely cringe lol and fake.

TRT didn't age well I barely listen to it, the only tracks that I go back and listen are Kenji, RTN and Petrified.

I freaking loved the Kenji/WFTE mashup so amazing listen to it now.

I also didn't liked that SOB was on almost every song I feel like Mike needed more solo songs on his own albums.

Just saw his Twitter post about this and it felt like he didnt really care the most concerning thing is the new mindset of not releasing anniversary boxsets because they are looking to the future only.

Also it was very odd that they recently released a reissue out of nowhere for this album like 2 years ago, why he didn't do it now?

2005 brings back a lot of cool memories and the FM were very interesting too, I always wanted to go to a show.

I always have the feeling that FM was his "fun" outlet, he didn't had to be so professional as with LP. I mean, Mike's on coke and drunk on certain shows, no way he would do that with Linkin Park. I still love the album, but I agree with you, it was a product from its age. About SOB, I understand why they're heavily feature, it was his project and decided to bring out his friends, like I said, the project was all about having a good time and not taking it very seriously.

No wonder why we would never get a proper reissue, besides RTN, outside the LP fanbase barely anyone remembers the record.

  11. I discovered the album back in summer/late 2006 (can't remember the exact date). Besides the LP Underground 6, for me this was the closest we had to a third LP record. Great memories playing on repeat Slip Out the Back on my MP4 player while playing Need for Speed Undeground 2 & Most Wanted on my PS2. I don't like all the tracks, but for me it's the strongest LP related project.

  12. Other people can tell you the story better than I, but for sure UIG doesn't fit with THP and, in my opinion, shouldn't have been included. Seems that, after the rejection, they didn't know what to do with the song and ended up there.

BTW: I hope someone knows the real reason why they stopped playing the song
