I'm still questioned about something. Obviously No Roads Left, Across The Line and Blackbirds were worked on during the Minutes to Midnight sessions, but is there any ACTUAL proof that states that Not alone was also written during the sessions?

I would have to say that there may be one,even two B-Sides, the rest may be demos. I call them "demos" because B-Sides are usually songs that are completely finished, but are left out of a release for one reason or another, such as No Roads Left being an example. A demo doesn't always neccesarily mean songs like the M2M demos on the LPU9 cd, it could be like that "Thoughts that take away my pride" I don't believe that one was "polished-finished" but rather they kept the lyrics that may not have been finalized, and drums or guitar that were from the initial demo.

As it is on right now, I think I'll make an update: They showed The Linkin Park Chronicles part 1 & 2, which is two guys talking, very boringly, about the evolution of the album cycles while showing about four or five videos per part. They showed the most recently LPTV episode, Loaded: Linkin Park which is nothing but LP's music videos. And finally right now, they're showing The making of Minutes To Midnight, with some edits, mainly parts that are useless.

I think it would be great for them to do the same as they did with the LPU 9 cd by having demos, obviously this being Year X, there will be ten tracks. But we'll see when the tracklist is revealed. I'd like to hear a bit more of that track that Rob was recording drums to on The making of Meteora dvd.

This LPTV episode was the first thing showed on Fuse HD's Linkin Park Takeover. It's on here from 9 am to 5 pm. Good thing I got the day off

Some songs make you think they're saying one thing while saying another. Like many of Muse's songs are like that, mainly because of frontman Matt Bellamy's english accent you'll hear him say one thing while he say's another, listen to their song 'Fury' for instance and then look at the lyrics

Good article. I just hope that, like other bands such as Metallica and a few other unmentionables, Linkin Park will eventually release a new album that has a Retro/Nostalgic feel. Kinda like what Metallica did with Death Magnetic, very awesome record that has just as much merit as their first release.

I would also expect them to play most, if not all, of the Hybrid Theory tracks with their respective Reanimation-styled electronic flairs and skip. I guess we'll see, but this tour seems like it'll be something amazing and different.

Not to mention the idiot that work UPS package tracking hasn't updated my shipment info n the site since friday morning when the package was still in Van Nuys, Californ-eye-ey. Burning in the Skies! I didn't think much of it at first but it really grew on me, I've been listening to that song more than the rest. Wretches and Kings comes in second, with Waiting for the End in third.

"The Cigarette after the lay" Lovely analogy, lauscho, on your thoughts about The Messenger. But I really enjoyed the record. It's different in a lot of ways, such as there not being any guitar-heavy tracks, it takes a lot of balls for a band to not add a staple part of their music to a new record. Kinda like a businessman going into a meeting without his suitcase. The record will take a few listens for me to get completely into, but, at the moment I'm into Burning in the Skies and Waiting for the End. If you ask me, I would agree that a couple of the tracks could have been better off melded together, such as the first two tracks and Empty Spaces could have been worked into the end of Burning in the Skies, like that short Interlude that's at the end of Shadow of the Day that segues into What I've Done. With that said and done, I would have to rate A Thousand Suns 8.5/10 for being original, of course they didn't do what made them the best selling debut band of the 2000s', but decided to try a different route that may not seem like a smart decision by many. For instance, listen to Pink Floyd's first album, 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn' and then listen to their legendary album, 'The Dark Side of the Moon' they sound like completely different bands.

I bet you they planned this to where we'll still only hear 'The Hunting' and no other new song it's still a bad ass idea though

No, I'm saying that listening to the instrumental, while watching the static is making me paranoid. I never said anything about song theories.

If anyone wants to get paranoid about the situation, listen to the instrumental at the end of the hybrid Theory EP while watching the static fullscreen.
