Blackout and Burning In The Skies Live Debut!
Biggiee2180@aol.com replied to [AndOne]'s topic in Newswire
Anyone else notice that the 2nd half of the song focuses more on Mike? On the studio version Mike doesn't sing along with Chester until the final "come down"s but live once he starts singing he never stops. Even Chester walks away from the mic and lets Mike finish which I thought was odd cause Chester is the one who closes out the song. I also don't like the fact that on Burning In The Skies, as well as Waiting For The End and Iridescent, Chester sings too loudly during Mike's parts. I mean I know Mike sounds like crap when he sings live but those are still his parts and I feel like Chester over shadows him too much. All in all I'm a little disappointed to how well ATS has been performed live the past few months. Seems like they really out did them selves with making this album cause they really haven't done any of the songs true justice -
Its in Chicago. Guaranteed.

Congrats on the guys who have gotten to play with LP this tour. If I get selected for M&Gs when they come to Philly and NYC I'm definitely ask to play on a song. I turn 21 at midnight on the night of their show in Philly so it would be the ultimate birthday present to play with my favorite band. Now, back to the setlist topic. Not that I'll pass up a reworked setlist as appose to the same one day after day, but they really need to get in the habit of switching out a few songs entirely on a daily basis. Obviously they keep the big hits, but they really need to stop banging out only singles and some other ones every night and hit the hardcore fans with some songs we'd never expect. Forgotten, Easier To Run, By Myself, Runaway (Can't believe Chester thinks that's the worst song they've ever written) and so on and for forth. It wouldn't kill them to save 2 or 3 song spots and interchange them with each night like they do with the setlists. -
NYC sold out in a fucking heart beat, and assholes like that make a fucking mad profit off of it. Now I get why the LPU always limited the tickets to a pair. They could really learn from Pearl Jam's Ten Club. They don't let you have the tickets until you pick them up from the venue the day of with your ID and membership info. That way they can't pull a fucking stunt like that.

To be honest I wouldn't want a full length album right now. Hell, with all of the DSPs I wouldn't even want a live DVD. What I would like is them maybe releasing an EP of some kind. Maybe record a couple songs in between rehearsals, sound checks, while on tour or during the holiday break. I know they just released LPUX, but maybe they can release some of the songs that didn't make the final cut of ATS.

As much as I, along with everyone else, would love for that to happen, it just won't. AT BEST, they'll get some studio work done in between touring cycles and do some work on their touring bus, but we've all heard them talk about that before and it obviously didn't speed ATS up at all. To be honest I don't know if I want them to put out a record that fast. Yeah I know, its a scary thought, but we've seen them do a record that fast before, Meteora, and for them to make an album like that would be too easy for them and I know for a fact they can't bang out albums like MTM or ATS that fast. If they can have an album out in 2012 before the world ends I'll be grateful and surprised.

Yeah thanks man. I realized that after my dumbass decided to check the site map out lol

What's the difference between GA and reserved tickets? NVM! Just got my tickets for Philly! Can't wait for NYC to go on sale!
-
WTF Philly isn't opening up yet
-
Probably because the US is one country, while all of the European dates are handled by the respective country. Probably a lot of international bullshit they need to deal with before hand. My guess anyway

Philly and NYC!!!!!!!!!!!

LPUX... Complete bust. Even with the 2 "full" songs on there it doesn't even hold a candle to LPU9, and that's saying something cause even LPU 9 wasn't that great. Sure, ATL is a kick ass track that deserved to kick In Between off of MTM, but at least a lot of those songs had working formats and vocals to the demos. All LPUX is is a bunch of instrumentals, weak ones at that, and some add ons that we already have. What's sad is that Pretend To Be is the best track on the CD. Not that I'm discrediting that song, but we already had that track for months so obviously there should have been better ones on the CD. What We Don't Know is alright, but the only thing that shines on that song is Chester's lyrics, barely. Songs like that make me understand even more why LP shuns away from easily predictable song formats now a days. They could make a dozen songs like that if they wanted to, and they don't cause they know it'd be terrible. All in all, really disappointed. I know they're all demos so I didn't have high expectations, but given this is the 10th anniversary I thought we were all going to get something that would blow us away.

Artwork?

Seriously? Everybody got excited for that?! WTF

Some harvest seeding would help right about now

Can somebody just upload their files to Demonoid or The Pirate Bay? Make our lives a hell of a lot easier NVM. Haha
-
Any hints as to where people are getting this from? I'm not asking for an PM's or links but c'mon on somebody give a little support lol
-
Well it says I'm all good to go, so I guess that's good to hear. So when these tickets go on sale are we going to have to buy them through LPU or LP's website? Or are they all the same now? lol
-
Has anybody uploaded the CD to any torrent sites yet? And is LPUX's website up and running fully yet? Cause I still can't log in and I wanna be prepped for the US tour tickets come Monday
-
I think I did that. I honestly went through it so fast I can't even remember lol. I do remember picking the AOL option and putting my screen name in and then in the next section I put my email in that I used for LPU9. Is that was you were referring to?
-
Adam... Once we get the email that allows us to redeem our code and it asks us to log in with any of the selected accounts (AOL, Facebook, Google, etc) where do we go from there? All there is is the website http://lpu.linkinpark.com/redeem.php Is that what you meant that's all we'll see until you guys roll everything over?

Possible Setlist... 1. The Requiem 2. The Radiance 3. New Divide 4. Faint 5. No More Sorrow 6. Wake 7. Given Up 8. Papercut 9. Points Of Authority 10. Wretches And Kings 11. When They Come For Me 12. Numb. 13. Iridescent 14. Breaking The Habit 15. Shadow Of The Day 16. Jornada Del Muerto 17. Waiting For The End 18. Crawling 19. In The End 20. Bleed It Out 21. One Step Closer Encore 22. The Fallout 23. The Catalyst 24. What I've Done As I'm typing this setlist I'm already bored with what I'm hearing. I hope they bring back some HT classics and bang out 22-24 songs not including the interlude. Every great band has expanded their setlist length as they've gotten older so I hope these guys are able to do the same
-
I'll believe that when I hear 22-24 songs and not 4-6 instrumentals/interludes

Mike: "Haters And The Converted: ATS Release"
Biggiee2180@aol.com replied to SpikeMinoda's topic in Newswire
It feels great seeing Mike write exactly what I've been saying for months now. Sellouts? I laughed every time I saw that word cause all of the fucking morons who used them clearly never understood the concept. Props to you Mike. I respect you more and more every day. -
Thank the lord! I can barely tolerate the music world as is, and if LP came behind Trey Songz I would have flipped shit. Music has become nothing but poppy hits and it's destroying the world of creative music. Hip hop's dead? Rock's dead! It gets shit respect and appreciation compared to 10+ years ago. Its sad cause I'm sick of seeing bands kick so much ass on their albums and live and get shit from the music world.
