Linkin Park will play Download Paris on June 9th co-headlining with Blink-182.

It might be the case that Blink-182 is playing under Linkin Park and it's not a co-headlining situation. Then again they will probably both play an hour so I don't know.

Also, looks like Blink-182 will be opening up for Linkin Park at Southside/Hurricane I'm assuming based off of this lineup. I feel like this is the only type of show where you would ever see them play on the same day, wish I could fly out and go to download!

Hi all. Sorry for the confusion this created. I posted this myself when I saw it on Rob Zombie's Facebook earlier today. Linkin Park is playing the festival from what we know. As for the other part of the lineup, we have no idea who is on it or who is not on it.

 

Actually, it's likely Guns N Roses and Deftones both are NOT playing this festival. However, I do think Prophets of Rage, Linkin Park, Rob Zombie, and Aerosmith are all playing it. Anyway, the poster is not an authentic poster it seems due to GNR being on the third line and the outdated Linkin Park logo. My guess is that Rob Zombie's management posted this by knowing they're playing the festival and by knowing at least the headliners were correct, without even reading the rest of the bill.

 

I do not know when the band will confirm it themselves, we will see.

Did any other act play at the show? Feels weird to fly them out just for two wongs. You would think they would at least get around 4 if they were the only act.

I realize it was a small set but that still deosn't make sense. They bring in Paige Hamillton and they don't even do All For Nothing. Makes no sense. Also, why did Adam get two songs but Mark only get one? I'm selfish, I want more Mark

Mark and I talked about it the other day we are totally down to do it, it's just a matter of getting started / working it out, what to say etc.

I think it's pretty crazy that the RHCP fans managed to achieve this with only roughly 5,000 signatures over a time of 2 years!!!!

There are millions of LP fans out there, if we do it we have to get way way more. Getting a higher number in a very short time is also very impressive. LPLive alone has over 30,000 followers on Twitter, if only every third person would sign that would be 10,000 already.

I guess it would have been better to do a petition 2 years ago BUT the reason we didn't do it was simply that no petition ever worked, petitions were simply overused in the previous years, fans started petitions for everything! and when something out of those many petitions coincidentally happened it was concluded petitions work. I personally think those petitions never worked.

 

But anyway, this RHCP petition shows that it apparently can be done. Change.org seems like a serious way to do it and I think if we do it, we can do waaaaaay better than they did.

Don't forget everyone on LPA. Plus someone with an LPU account can advertise in there. Also could post it on the LP facebook page. Lot's can be done.

No, it's not. It could be infinitely many things. Mike could just be trying to merge the FM and LP fanbases. You don't remember the "new song" announcement for the tour with the picture of Brad? People did this same exact thing, and said it was "obviously" War. Guess what, we didn't get War. None of this guarantees we're getting Fort Minor, it only makes it a possibility.

Anyway, I doubt he would do anything under Fort Minor accounts that wasn't Fort Minor. He created a FM instagram for crying out loud.

Last I checked, it's an opinion. The Rising Tied is in my top 24 Hip-Hop/Rap albums of all time. I for one do not think Fort Minor sucks and Mike isn't going to either.

 

But if it is a concert, I am driving out there to see it!

I think the real question is, if he's making new music would it be still "Fort Minor"? Would it be still the same members? This was 10 years ago, a lot has changed. The music Mike did in the last few years was more electronic/pop than hip-hop. 2005 was a very different phase for him and the band. I don't think it will be a simple part 2 what most people are hoping for apparently.
