  1. Honestly, THP could replace MTM as my favorite LP album. I think Keys to the Kingdom might even replace What I've Done as my favorite LP song of all time. We will see. The stuff from this album so far is just.... so good.

Hoe many times do you change your mind?

I remember MTMT always being your favoritebut then earlier this year you said LT was :D

  2. Wastelands>UIG>GATS

    all great songs though.

Wastelands and UIG top 5 LP songs *runs and hides*

same for me! Really curious to find out if the songs get better and better which listening to other tracks when the album is out

according to TurtleGuy who wrote the review the songs get better from here out and that besides "Final Masquerade" the songs get heavier but that FM still has energy to it.

He also said this about KTTK:

"Imagine the structure of Wastelands, except instead of the poppy Wastelands chorus it's Chester screaming all he has got for the choruses. Also, it's just a heavier song in general."

When asked compared to QWERTY (live version): "Yes, it's on that level. For. Every. Chorus."

When asked in comparison to Victimized: "Let's say heavy with a purpose. Victimized always felt like a mini heavy "idea"."

When asked about a standout moment on the album:

"I love love love the guitar work on MTG. Mike said after the listening that Brad would just come in the studio and loop the song and solo over it just for fun. He wasn't even trying to write one to record it. That tells you how fun the guitar is."

"KTTK, MTG, and ALITS. The intro again is just the BEST. Do yourself a favor and crank it up when you start KTTK."

Source: He's answering questions on LPA and I thought I would share them here since a lot of you don't read LPA.

EDIT: the album closes on a soft note but the overall song isnt soft.

On ALITS: "It has a progression of ATS intro, straight up rock song building up, huge bridge where the band just catches fire, to soft ATS close."

On songs he didn't like from the album: "I openly admit I hate most songs on MTM.
But on this one only the song WAR gave me a bad taste. Old school punk doesn't appeal to me at all. I hate the speed and I hate the singing of that type of music.
Hearing Chester sing it was the only part I liked.
But that's personal taste, for me, hearing it I instantly knew its the song that I'll skip over a lot."

On interludes between songs: "Yes these are little electronic fills between the songs. Hello #HahnSamples.
Actually regarding interludes at the end of All For Nothing there are little kids talking to each other and one says something like "We aren't supposed to say ____" or "I'm not supposed to say _____"
I couldn't make out the last word but I'm guessing its a cuss word. :p"

On Mark the Graves: "I wish I could answer but it was so loud I couldn't make out intricate things or differences. I'm excited to hear it again. I'll get so much more. One thing I do remember is the intro reminded me of the intro to BYOB. Fast and Heavy."

  3. Honestly, with how crappy Brad played today at the concert. I wouldnt be surprised if he did do something and was mentally off at the concert.

But in reality, he probably just isnt that good of an insturmentalist (which we all knew) but he was way more off tonight then usual.

  4. I didn't think it was ALITS, doesn't sound like the type of music LP was trying to achieve with THP, I was right after all, I guess. I don't hate it, I think it sounds pretty damn good. I just would prefer for LP to continue on in the heavier direction like they did instead of this direction for the album. Since it's on the Mall soundtrack, that is pretty cool because I did want to hear some of the music they were working on before they went with the direction they did for THP. They started working on the Mall soundtrack after the Honda Civic Tour into 2013, so I imagine this song could very well be from that time, who knows? I can't wait to hear the Mall soundtrack as well as see the movie, gonna be really cool. Probably much better than Joe's last film, The Seed.

The thing is turtleGuy said the song starts off sounding like an ATS song then transforms into a Shredding rock song. So what we heard exactly fit that bill and that's what got some of us confused :D

  5. Song confirmed to be ALITS: https://mobile.twitter.com/liljanetr7/status/471874309279842305

Also asked a LPA member who was at Listening party to confirm as well

    SOURCE: LPA/tweet

Definitely sounds like what the band would have released if it weren't for THP. Thank god they didn't.

    Spoke too soon :P

    EDIT:

If you listen to the song, towards the end of the preview before the explosion, drums start coming in and then they "stop"

I have a feeling this is as TurtleGuy said: Starts off like an ATS song and then when those drums stop, the shredding rock comes in!

DOUBLE EDIT: LPA member TurtleGuy confirmed it is not ALITS

    TRIPPLE EDIT:

    From LPA:

Hey guys I just hadn't looked at this threat yet. That song is def not ALITS. The ALITS intro is sung more like a dark version of Iridescent, and it's more slower paced than this.

  6. WOW, so good to hear that c'mon scream again!

Man With You into Runaway into Wastelands is great! Only wish that they played Runaway in full!

This set looks amazing on paper but if I was actually at a show all these short HT songs might Piss me off since I'd want to here them in full :D

If I was actually actually at the show instead of talking about what would actually happen, is probably be too hyped to care

  7. Three things:

    1. The Guitar during Miles raps is one of the best things I have ever heard

    2. I've been listening to that video on replay and as of now I think Wastelands>UIG (barely)>GATS. Will make full judgement once I get studio version.

    3. I still believe iTunes countdown is coming! Bring on next week! I think we get the song next week personally!

  8. Wastelands everybody!!!!!

    Credit:Loudblood from LPA

EDIT: HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS AMAZING! THIS ALBUM IS GOING TO BE THE BEST! LP 3/3 so far with this album!

This song is killer! Love the raps and the chorus! And the guitar sounds very nice! And this is just the live version! Please let the iTunes countdown be real and we get the song Tuesday!

Just based off this live video, I think I like it more than GATS! Not sure if it beats UIG though!

This album will EASILY be their best! I AM SO HYPED RIGHT NOW!!!!

  9. We don't know anyone going so we are assuming the setlist will be posted by someone after the show. I'll keep asking around for someone who is attending. Be on the look.

I have found someone who is going. LPA member "lordblood" will be at the show. He said he will record anything if they play anything new.

I asked him if he could tweet the setlist for us, let's see what he says

    Still no info yet?

I hope Forgotten will be played more. It's the longest drought of any LP album song that has been played live.

The show is tomorrow, not today. We should get info tomorrow night :)

One of the LPA members is going to the show!

  10. I feel we might hear a new song debuted live. I doubt we hear much but we will probably hear one more song of THP. Perfect place to debut it especially if they want to "realese more music before the album." If not, we might hear a rap verse from the album (maybe a rap verse from THP will replace Rakim's vers or be a WFTE intro).

Either way, Im excited to see what we get!

One question, do we know anyone from LPA/LPL going to the concert? Will it be easy to get the setlist information?

Or maybe a setlist picture will be posted somewhere like what usually happened the last couple years?

  11. I love the shit out of Imagine Dragons (fucking incredible live act, was extremely impressed with them being such a recent rising band. Took a shit on most bands I've seen) but this news does make me very sad. I love the Transformers films and it always only made it better than LP were the official band for them and I would always get to hear them during the movies. Not gonna have the same feel now.

I've seen ID twice live now and the second time was probably the best show I've ever seen. Their production is great and they nail the songs perfectly.

Plus they make their shows really fun. Only downside was yet didn't play my favorite song, Monster

Radioactive song sounds exactly like a Nickleback song. The singer sounds IDENTICAL to the NB singer. If the NB did this song.. you wouldnt notice the difference. The chorus especially

    Completely and utterly disagree.

    Do you even Imagine Dragons?
