  1.

We're not gonna get the dates until the day before the presale, most likely. As of now that should be 5/8, but I'd be shocked if it didn't get pushed back a week.

Why wouldn't we get the dates until a day before pre-sale?

I have never seen an artist do that. Usually it's 3-4 days before pre-sale at the worst.

Edit: Also pre-sales usually happen on Thursdays with general on-sale times on Fridays. This has been the case for 99% of shows I have been to or seen the details for. So the 8th seems wrong.

  2. Just a shot at it! Nothing else. But I think it has some roots in plausibility, certainly open to suggestions. We've been working on it for a little while. Thanks for the feedback.

Ignore what I said about The Gorge.

I didn't realize they played it on the Carnivors tour as I went to the Phoenix date. But i'm back in Washington for good now. And I really hope they don't go back there. Don't want to make that drive if I don't have to.

  3. Why would they play the KeyArena on an amphitheater tour...? My best guess for Washington would either be Tacoma Dome or Auburn (for my girlfriend's sake :P)

Was it confirmed to be an Ampitheater tour? Where did you see that at?

Upon further review Linkin Park has only played The Gorge twice. 2001 ans 2014.

For the sake of my sanity they better play White River Ampitheater or at least Ridgefield. While Ridgefield is just as long as a drive as The Gorge, It's an easier drive and has real bathrooms lol.

Last time Blink-182 came to town, they played both the KeyArena and Ridgefield Ampitheater.

I doubt Linkin Park would ever do that, but that would be cool if they did.

EDIT: Upon further review Linkin Park has never actually played at KeyArena.

I am genuinely shocked. Not even Deck the Hall Ball 2003 was at the KeyArena [Venue where they host it every year now]

  4. One of my good friends took a shot at predicting the routing for this tour, based on previous ones and dates that are already booked up:

8/8 West Palm Beach, FL - Perfect Vodka Amphitheater (Production Rehearsal)

8/9 West Palm Beach, FL - Perfect Vodka Amphitheater

8/10 Tampa, FL - Midflorida Credit Amphitheater

8/11 Charlotte, NC - PNC Music Pavilion

8/12 Bristow, VA - Jiffy Lube Live

    8/14 Camden, NJ - BB&T Pavilion

8/15 Holmdel, NJ - PNC Bank Arts Center

8/17 Wantagh, NY - Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater

8/18 Mansfield, MA - Xfinity Center

8/19 Darien Lake, NY - Darien Lake Amphitheater

8/20 Toronto, CN - Air Canada Center

    8/21 Montreal, CN - Parc Jean-Drapeau

8/23 Clarkston, MI - DTE Energy Music Theater

8/24 Tinley Park, IL - Tinley Park Amphitheatre

8/25 St. Paul, MN - Minnesota State Fair Grandstand

8/26 Winnipeg, CN - MTS Centre

8/28 Dallas, TX - Starplex Pavilion

8/29 Woodlands, TX - Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

    8/30 Englewood, CO - Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre

8/31 Phoenix, AZ - Talking Stick Resort Arena

9/1 Los Angeles, CA - Hollywood Bowl

9/2 Chula Vista, CA - Mattress Firm Amphitheater

9/4 Wheatland, CA - Toyota Amphitheatre

9/5 Concord, CA - Concord Pavilion

9/8 Quincy, WA - The Gorge

Keep in mind that this is making a decent amount of assumptions and has less than the usual days off, but I don't think it could be too far from reality.

Too many shows in a row.

Also, If they play The Gorge I'm going to be angry. Beautiful venue but WOAT drive out in the middle of nowhere. Doesn't even have real bathrooms. I almost fell asleep at the wheel last time I drove home from that venue.

Normally Linkin Park plays The Tacoma Dome when they come to Washington. My guess is they will play The Tacoma Dome or Key Arena. Maybe the Ridgefield Ampitheater if they feel like switching it up. But if I had to put money down I would bet on KeyArena.

  5. inb4 actual tour dates are announced and a bunch of people bitch that LP "lied" about coming to their city based on this list because they don't know what a market is.

*Edit* Pretty sure they're playing the Minnesota State Fair again on August 25th. It's the only date of their concert series that hasn't been announced yet: http://www.mnstatefair.org/entertainment/grandstand.html

Could definitely see both things happening.

Some people definitely need to learn to read before they complain. I hope we don't see too much of it though. People are already complaining about them announcing a tour. LOL. People need to understand that they play old music on their tours.

  6. You can change the city you want to get presale tickets for at any time before the actual pre-sale starts. The tour dates will probably be announced before then so you can change your city when those dates come. As long as you're an LPU member you shouldn't have to worry about falling down in the tiers for the presale.

It also says when you complete the process that you will be switched to the closest city near you automatically if they don't come to your city.

"You are currently in line for Seattle, WA. If the band plays there, you'll get a confirmed spot in that line. Otherwise, we'll place you in the closest tour city. Don’t worry, you won’t lose any of your progress! If you’d like to change cities, you can also transfer at any time."

I guess so, but they're saying do all of it for a better spot in line. So sign in with facebook, then create an account, make sure it connects to your ticketmaster, then pre order the album again for an even better spot. Emails went to my spam, I ended up with a separate LPU email going to the same location.. I just thought it would be easier for people who already pay membership

    From LPL facebook:

'1. The LPU goes FIRST as always. There is no need to do these social promotions or preorder more album copies if you're in the LPU already. That's mainly for non LPU members. LPU GETS FIRST ACCESS.

    2. LPU M&Gs will occur on the tour as usual!'

So looks like if you are LPU, you don't have to do anything special but sign up.

  7. So what's this whole jumping in line thing? I already preordered the album, LPU member, and they seem to be making everybody jump through hoops. kind of frustrating.

Really hope they hit up Madison, but not expecting it

Depending on how many people in your city sign up you might not even have to jump in line to make the cut.

They aren't making you jump through hoops if you don't want to. all you have to do is sign up and hope for the best. You don't have to do any of the extra stuff if you don't want to.

  8.

They are not all actual tour dates. They are cities near where LP will be playing.

Yeah, I see that now. Thanks!

I still have faith they will come to Seattle though! Portland and Vancouver, BC are close but usually they play Seattle if it's a Fall tour. I'm guessing they end up playing Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver.

If it was a weekend I could drive to Portland though. Vancouver is out of the question.

  9. That seems like way too many dates but I'm happy if they come to Seattle!

I see the band didn't actually announce anything on social media so maybe the Blink rumor is still true especially if they just come close to those areas and not actually all those cities.

Is this going to work the same way as the depeche mode presale? If so, fuck that. I gotta work to go to these shows, I'm not trying to do more work and spam my friends just to get presale. Besides, I heard this system didn't do much to stop scalpers anyway.

Guess I'll just have a friend cop me a ticket if the blink rumors are true. At this point I'm just excited to finally see Blink. Trying to keep my expectations for a radically different lp set as low as possible.

The 1975 did pre-sale this way and I thought it worked great.
  10. I think they have to announce their tour before the album is out. Many of the hardcore fans will think twice about 80-100 dollars tickets if they dont like the new album at all

Blink-182 also has their "new" album coming out May 19th so you could say the same for both parties.
  11. Blink-182s current tour which is in B-cities ends May 9th

I wonder if that affects announcement at all?

I'm now guessing next week it will be announced but it could be announced the week after that.

  12. Came here to say that Blink-182 is playing Life is Beautiful fest September 22nd.

But someone already beat me xD

Could be an off day or could be after the LP tour. LP tour could just be lats August- early September.

  13.

Sadly I don't know and don't have any information on when dates will be released. LP typically announces dates and does an LPU presale the day after. I'll let you know if any info leaks from Blink fans or radio stations. We will have tour dates before the album is released is all I know, which is what LP always does for album releases so that's a safe assumption. And that's on May 19th.

By the looks of it, Blink plays August 12th in Denver, which is after their UK run. And they play Knoxville on September 13th, which sets them up for Music Midtown Atlanta just after that (rumored) like Sept 16/17. This could be a very short run for LP/Blink potentially, maybe just three weeks.

LP did 18 shows in 4 weeks with Incubus in 2012. This could very likely be the same sort of thing. We will see.

Hmmm, thank you for the response! I am buying Kendrick Lamar tickets on Friday which is why I'm wondering. Need to make sure they aren't on the same day. Kendrick's show is August 1st so I expect I'm good was just curious.

Also just anxious to see if this tour comes to Seattle! My friend really wants to see Linkin Park so I'm banking on them coming close by

  14. Something about this feels a bit off. Feels like LP has been organizing this tour for a long time for the Blink rumor to just come about now. I think we would've heard about this earlier had this tour been more... noteworthy? Maybe that means they only play a few shows with Blink? Maybe I'm just being overcritical :P

Wll think to past tours. I do not remember a 30STM rumor or an Incubus rumor circulating around before it was announced. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm actually surprised we got a rumor this time around.

Also, Derek usually doesn't post information unless he knows it to be true, so I think whoever he has been in contact with has reliable sources.

  15. And so Blink posted a new video on FB about tour life. It looks like a announcement is coming soon ;)

And maybe we will see a drum battle between Rob and Travis Barker :D

Yeah, I saw that post too. The caption said they were excited to meet new faces.

So I expect it to come early next week :D

  16. Well I agree with your first part. Co headline means someone still closes the show, because it rarely happens when they swap.

Blink will open for LP, there's no doubting that. Incubus opened for LP in amphitheatres which they headlined the previous summer. LP does not play before anyone in the USA in amphitheatres.

I agree with you on this. I guess I should have clarified in my post. Of course someone still has to close the show and that will LP no doubt but I wouldn't expect Blink to be an "opening act" for Blink in the sense of a traditional opening act. I would expect them to co-headline and they are.

It's not Blink without Tom. LP isn't the same band. 5-10 years ago, this would have been awesome news.

Honestly I feel this should have been a tour when Blink-182 announced it's reunion.

ATS era co-headliner with Blink-182 and Linkin Park would have been amazing.

  17. That's a shame, considering Matt Skiba can actually sing. :P

    Studio? Sure

    Live? He sucks pretty bad

Tom, Matt, and Mark. All three of them can't sing well live.

While I agree that they aren't as big as they were in the 2000s, they are still a pretty big deal, with or without Tom. Tom was AWFUL live with them and was bringing down the quality of their live shows because his heart was more into his side projects than Blink. Matt has 1000% increased my interest in seeing Blink live. He does a great job replacing Tom and the new songs with him are killer. I think this is a great lineup for a summer tour and I can't wait to see the dates.

As for this, they just finished up an A/B city Amphitheater tour last year for this album, so why not hit the B & C cities? Now that they have the Deluxe album coming out, it'll be a perfect chance to loop back around for some of the A & bigger B cities that they missed.

    A) Matt sucks worse live than Tom. I've seen them live with Matt. Not only can he not sing live like Tom could not, he can't play the guitar very well live which is something that Tom was actually a master at. Matt Skiba doesn't even know how to play Carousel correctly.

    B) Blink-182 is currently on a tour with the Naked and Famous in B cities. That plus the fact it will be Linkin Park's first tour for their new album means it's a good chance they would hit A cities.

And to other posts above, Blink-182 and Linkin Park sell out/play the same type of venues. They both play arenas. To think that they wouldn't co-healine is crazy. Neither band would agree to open for one another.

  18. I wonder if anyone else will be on the tour, as well.

When Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance did a co-headlining tour, Indie Electronic Duo "Matt and Kim" was the opener on majority of the dates and all dates had an opening act. I'm guessing the same will be here, that they have an opening act.

As far as this tour, I will be there if they come to Seattle. Blink-182 is my favorite band. Tom DeLonge is my favorite musician of all time. The Blink-182/My Chemical Romance tour in 2011 came to Seattle and I missed it. I'm so mad because I have never seen MCR and will never get to see them again. I also had never seen Blink-182 and this was a time when Tom DeLonge was still in the band. I told myself I would NEVER see Blink-182 in concert with Matt Skiba. Normally, I'm okay with new singers but Blink-182 is not Blink-182 without Tom DeLonge in my opinion. I also told myself I would not listen to any future releases they release. I have not listened to California nor do I ever plan to. I will also not listen to the deluxe version which is essentially a whole new album. However, I did end up going to see the band.

Last year, Blink-182 went on a tour with A Day to Remember and The All-American Rejects. That is a stacked lineup if I have ever seen one. Both of those bands I love a lot and had never seen either band before so I immediately decided to go.

Now, I have seen both Linkin Park and Blink-182 one time each. However, I have a friend who only goes to concerts if I go with him. He really wants to see Linkin Park live and I already told him about this lineup and we have already decided we are going together. He has never seen Linkin Park live so this gives him a chance.

Back when ATS was released, I was going through a huge Linkin Park faze even though they were already in my top 10 acts of all time. I decided to look into the tour history of them coming to Seattle and found out that U.S. tours that were during the summer and fall, they would stop in Seattle. U.S. tours that were winter tours, they would always ignore Seattle. My suspicion is this tour will happen in August/September so I have a good feeling about them coming to Seattle. Even though Blink-182 isn't the same to me, it will be still cool to see two of my top 10 acts of all time again, together on the same stage on the same night. Here's to hoping they have a band I like opening for them as both times I saw them separately they were 4/4 on bands I like as openers.

Note: I did not proof read that, so sorry if there are any mistakes.

  19. My question is, could this be a collab with Chance the Rapper? LP's official Instagram followed him yesterday. Whether it's a single or not (which it definitely isn't), that collaboration would be awesome.

Twitter show it in order of last followed as well and they followed him on Twitter.

I wonder if it has to do with the album because I would LOVE a Chance feature

But I have doubts that is the case

If I know anything from sports trades and such though is that something is probably going down between the two.

    Did Chance follow LP back?
