  1. We should use LP most used structure 11 full songs and 1 interlude/intro

I'll use the ATS structure where the itunes edition had 16 songs :)

But you can use the standard structure if you want. I feel like there are way too many demo songs to stick with 12 personally. I also like the use of instrumentals in my list and if I were to cut it down to 12, those would be the first to go which wouldn't make my album flow as well I think.

I actually made my list as a playlist on phone and I'm amazed how well it flows.

Great lists so far everyone! Really like the choices you guys have made. Always cool to see people's varying opinions :)

    01. Announcement Service Public

I feel like this list would make a very good listen if you made this into a playlist/album

  2.

As far as I know, anyone with an LPU membership can download those bi-monthly releases for free. But if you join now you will have to pay for the ones on the disc.

Ah, sounds good. Thank you for the response :)

  3. Only rule I'll put in place is don't go overboard so make sure the album would fit on a disc (80 minutes max) and try to make it sound like an album. Create what you think would be the best album you can make from LPU and unreleased songs :)

Presenting my tracklist- Linkin Park Underground Mastered:

    1. Announcement Service Public
    2. Across the Line
    3. QWERTY
    4. Asbestos
    5. Can’t Hurt Me
    6. Animals
    7. Dedicated
    8. I Have Not Begun
    9. Attached
    10. Chance of Rain
    11. What We Don’t Know
    12. Blackbirds*
    13. Pale
    14. Blue
    15. Slip
    16. Reading My Eyes (Chester version)
    17. So Far Away
    18. Sold My Soul to Yo Mama

*I realize Blackbirds technically isn't from LPU but I feel it's one of the few songs that fits within those songs even though it was released on itunes.
  4. Catalyst is definitely mixed differently, sounds dope though. New lyrics are cool.
Would love to hear Can't Hurt Me with vocals. This is super dope! Really hoping that's from after THP because I would love LP7 to sound like this!
Not feeling Dark Crystal/Air Force One/Bleed It Out (The old lyrics are awful)/Consequence A/Symphonies of Blinding Light
Consequence B is not bad. I could see this being developed into a sick rap rock song but with a Chester singing over a Hip-Hop beat instead of Mike rapping over rock.
Lies Greed Misery and Blurberry are dope! Definitely two of the better tracks.

Overall Can't Hurt Me is my one takeaway for these demos. Not the biggest fan of instrumentals, especially unfinished, but I really Like what I heard here!

    My favorites:
    1. Can't Hurt Me
    2. The Catalyst (almost the same song and I love that song)
    3. Lies Greed Misery

  5. So far

    Vocal tracks:

    The Catalyst

    Bleed It Out (I Think)
    Consequence A

    Lies Greed Misery (Gibberish)

    Don't know about last two

After my first listen, my favorites are Symphonies of Blinding Light (I want to add this into ATS between Catalyst and Messenger now), the Bleed It Out demo, Dark Crystal, and the Catalyst demo. Some pretty good stuff this time around. The LGM demo, though, is actually awful.

Do the last two tracks have vocals?

  6. all Russian shows were in the summer, I believe that they are afraid of the Russian winter lol. i still think that it will be some festival here.

I think they just like to avoid weather all together if possible.

Every time they have come to Seattle, it's been in the Summer if I remember right.

  7.

That's why at festivals like Warped Tour here in the U.S., a lot of bands only get to play like 7 songs or so, because there are so many bands playing in one day.

True. It's why LP's surprise set at Warped was so short. Doesn't matter how big you are.

I went to a festival in Texas this past year called "So What Music Festival" (previously South by So What) and there were 3 stages each day. Most bands got 30 minutes, maybe slightly longer until the last 6 "headliners" each day got an hour each.

Recently saw Disturbed at a "festival" (one of those Radio day shows) and they I believe they only played 70 minutes. So I just assumed a lot of festivals were like this. I assume assumed this because LP setlists at festivals have been historically shorter than their tour setlists.

  8.

    Lockjaw can count too, right?

I could be wrong but wasn't Lockjaw just a random song and not ever meant for any album in the first place?

Sounds pretty good so far! I think it's it's good for Linkin Park to write about their personal feelings and I kinda like lyrics with these personal themes in it a lot more than I like other lyrics.

I'm too curious about what their new sound and vocal style and everything else on the album will be like, couldn't be more hyped about it.. Also I was hoping that Taka (One Ok Rock) would be somewhere on the record as he was visiting them in the studio - hopefully they will work together again in the future and be sure to record a feature that time ;)

Also can't wait for LPU 16! Stoked for the Bleed it out demo and also stoked for the scarf, always wanted to have a Linkin Park scarf ;)

Maybe One OK Rock feat. Linkin Park :)
