  1. 1st time we see it quite so explicitly though i assume. EDIT: nice episode in all though. I like seeing the little changes made to certain small aspects that make up such a nice single. I like watching the way the band works and maker up their music.
  2. I too am in agreement with this school of thought. while it is true that the song has been "revealed" to some extent, it is still odd that people are putting together setlists off the basis of written word (reviews, teasers etc.) we have no idea of the kind of "feel" of each song. this is a nice little game for setlist speculation, and who knows, some of these may be coincidentally accurate, but I don't see how you can build a full setlist when we haven't heard the songs
  3. this is a really interesting idea. I too have always thought that MTM leads onto ATS, I'm not sure if the band have done this intentionaly though...
  4. pretty much
  5. can't personally tell you any quotes, but there's been some real bad blood between these two
  6. true man, friendships and chronology are different to both "groups". and hell, maybe chester will do some more stuff with the JK guys, while Mike seems pretty well established in film/tv soundtracks now. but I can't see alot of DBS stuff getting the amount of *ahem* exposure that it previously had. i say "*ahem*" becuase OOA was so awfully promoted... I'd welcome new solo material form either. but in terms of DBS, i can only see that kind of thing going to a few CA shows and to germany where JK are more well known. shame but... anyway, this thread for this discussion. LP GO!
  7. sucks doesn't it? unless people get snippy about FLAC/HD rips of everything
  8. same could be said of DBS to be fair - much as I would hate that - I think the side-project thing in LP is dead. LP now includes so much it's hard to see things existing alongside it EDIT: Shinoda and Einziger = M&M
  9. is there a transcript of the chat? i was at lectures and missed it...
  10. yeah i checked the site after posting and realised you had them! no worries. but seriously, if i get back into some more serious collecting your guide'll be so useful. thanks for this resource man
  11. woah, nice find astat! have there seriously been no other tracks from one album recording session appearing on subsequent albums...? HT and Meteora are so similar!
  12. meh! could have been - guys in offices mishearing stuff on phones. I'm sure that happens... gotta admit, so did I
  13. to be fair, synthesizers don't matter, so long as it's not out-pacing the genuine musical/playing talents of the band itself
  14. yeah, the demo just rambles methinks. some cool ideas in there, but nowhere near as as coherent as the final product
  15. I can't stand the sandpaper thoughts that grate on my sanity
  16. I would assume they would be since those were the titles on the back of that "for mastering" CD we got hold of a few months back. I don't see why they'd give them different names purely for that disc. and also I think WB would have insisted that they change the names for the final release to differentiate betwen (what has become) Cure For The Itch and Pushing Me Away a bit better. i think labels quite like having songs where the title is the main chorus line - makes marketing easier...
  17. yeah i guess doing it via twitter means they can be selective and filter out most of the "WHEN WILL YOU BE PLAYING IN [xyz]!!?? <3<3"
  18. haha I know I was just messing with you I think about 4-5. HT and Meteora were pretty rap-heavy but Mike did no singing, I see more of a balance between Mike's two vocal styles these days. he did lots of straight singing for MTM, but little rapping, i think they found a balance in ATS and it'll probably continue in that vein methinks
  19. true but i think the idea is that fans can get some Q's answered too!
  20. from the band's twitter: link to article here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/exc...h-fans-20120501 "Submit your questions for Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and Mike Einziger of Incubus ahead of time and during the chat via hashtag #RSChats on Twitter. Read more: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/exc...1#ixzz1teHo3i1K" thoughts? anyone going to participate?
  21. eeexactly HA! now that you mention it... dammit, i'm going to be seeing that everywhere now
  22. BID after an encore break sounds quite likely to be fair. for festival (or show with no encore) I wonder how they'd get it into the set in a way that makes the song seem important...
  23. do we know which song it is, or is that something else we're not allowed to know?
  24. when the album comes out, you might know... jus' saying
