  1. I'm sure staff have seen this but still, http://lplive.net/shows/20130223.php has an audience rec - http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9628 Source 1: Audio - AUD (?) Transfer: ? Taper: longvoyage Time: 74m 4s Format: lossless I don't have an account on Dime, but I guess the taper would have put up more of the source info there.
  2. I am definitely a fan of the "I attended" suggestion that's popping up here - the shoutbox is there to give a community feel, and I think this can only add to that. my main suggestion would be to keep it simple. I like the clean streamlined edge this site has, and I'm not a fan of tons of bulky graphics around buttons and members posts. I must say, I do quite like how the site's forum content is quite 'thin' down the page - It means I can zoom in if I want to, but I like to keep it streamlined. it reminds me of the really old Facebook from ~2008, and I like that about site skins - rotating banners would make it easier to include post-MTM images, but I agree that work on a new version of the site is of greater importance now. EDIT: it's been said elsewhere, but a "thank you" button on the Download threads would be good. you're more likely to get "thanks" if it's just a simple process of pressing a button, and it keeps comments to being about question/errors/points about the show etc.
  3. haha, true - I'd forgotten about that!
  4. This is a fantastic idea, and it needed to come from the "hardcore" fan-sites. Older DSPs would be great to hear, particularly if they are from shows that we currently know very little about. Three words I know we'd all kill to have SBD of: Blood! Anger! Suffering!
  5. meh! I was just wondering if anyone had any more info on it since I couldn't find it on lpcatalogue, but I guess there's a lot of stuff out there that we might not know about.
  6. I have so many crappy One Step Closer lyric jokes I could make here.
  7. I trust it more when it doesn't have a stock photo, and I already know what it is that I'm looking at. granted, you still have to be careful of sellers using false images so they appear legitimate, but you are covered if they list something totally deceptively. I used it a while back to build up my collection: no issues
  8. I'm intrigued by this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/linkin-Park-Almo...=item4d09e32952 "Almost Acoustic X-Mas.... (P.REC01) 11 tracks from KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas Show in Los Angeles 8th December 2001 , plus 6 bonus tracks from other KROQ and BBC sessions. On Pablo records - This is not a CDR or Home made CD" image I'm not interested in buying, but still, I'm curious.
  9. ok, i get it now. black friday's about sales (from my limited understanding) but this is different. I wish we had something similar globally - it would be nice to have an excuse to throw money at a special edition every once in a while
  10. yeah, it needs to sound more like the studio version to be any good. it needs the agression. I'm pretty surprised they dropped V/Q, but festival crowds are festival crowds good to hear there's been alot of love for APFMH, I'm hoping that that track stays on in the rotation after the LT-era
  11. so stuff's cheaper in the US then? seems a pretty good idea - encourage physical sales and whatnot...
  12. now that would be pretty cool speculations though also, out of interest, what is "Record Store Day"? I'm guessing it's a US thing since I've never heard of anything similar in the UK/EU...
  13. will believe it when it's on LP.com
  14. Hahaha Yes, that's the site. No offence meant, like astat said - a very inactive livejournal... i just found it funny
  15. I can't read any of this, but, another listing: http://www.abshopmusic.com/shop/8906/desc/...ured-vinyl-2-lp you can probably take that "?" out of the title Woco
  16. even if they were in the UK, I still don't think LP would open for Muse. big bands (like Metallica) aside, LP are still a pretty consistent headliner over here. I also couldn't imagine LP playing Glastonbury, even Reading/Leeds is starting to look less and less like the sort of festival LP'd be approached for... they're becoming the preserve of rock/metal festivals over here, for old time's sake.

    LT-era Live DVD?

I just think that in this day and age, if they could just access something thats already been filmed for them (so they dont have to hire ++ gear), and it was something that's not easily available in full... it would be odd to have them release 2 MTV shows back to back, but ... you never know!
  18. these aren't really "covers" I'd say they were more "smothers"...
  19. boom! If anything, having that sort of unique crowd interaction would blow away any set-list disappointments. to me, that is worth way more than hearing a rare song.

    LT-era Live DVD?

are we going to get a Live DVD from the Living Things era? if we are going to get a release, my bet's on Monterrey '12 - MTV show (so no previous DSP release), a big "live return" to the area, was definitely filmed for broadcast so would be of a good quality. what does everyone else think?
  21. this. BID is easily the worst "single" on LT. it's got all the pieces there, but I agree it was definitely not the song to lead the album's promotion.
  22. but Soul, they're playing for the people in the room, not the internet. we're a niche bunch! I'm waiting for Numbrocker to click that "add reply" button
  23. I guess what I really mean by all I've said is that LT tracks like I'll Be Gone and Powerless looked pretty certain inclusions in an LT-era setlist. most of the classics they've brought back are fucking cool - i'm just puzzled by some of the seemingly obvious songs that have been omitted. I'm not expecting the show pages to suddenly read "13. Robot Boy / Roads Untraveled / Carousel ("Dat Shit Cray" mash-up) Ext. Intro; Chester Violin Solo; Ext Outro w/Across The Line vocal tease" anyway, we're wandering into set-list syndrome, the show would have been bad-ass irrespective of what's been played. to Aus/NZ!!
  24. I would keep POA, on the other hand, while I like the new SIB intro alot, I do think it could have a break or at least rotate with something.
  25. I'm not "hating" on the setlist - it just seems odd that only a relatively small amount of LT is being put forward live. it's been awesome to have good stuff like With You and APFMH back, and granted, I often forget how good the "usual" songs are (had a nice good listen to Rio n1 today - was great!), but yeah, the lack of stuff from LT, in shows that are promo-ing \Lt is just a little... odd. like I said at the start, it would still not put me off seeing them live.
