  1. At this point, the "A.06" with Chester vocals has become such an unfamous thing that there should really be like a remix contest among fans, specifically to find who manages to put the most-fitting Chester acappella on top of A.06 chorus 😄 There must be at least one that'd fit. But please then, use the LPU.09 A.06 instrumental 😃
  2. Can't wait to hear the whole thing! And yeah, it's been an awesome journey. Haven't been this hyped about the band for (too many) years.
  3. Grecian!! I know it's MTM stuff, so not for now, but that one definitely would be a holy grail to me. I remember back in 2007, around the time MTM dropped, 2 snippets quickly appeared online as well. One was an extract of "No Roads Left", and the other one was an extract of "Grecian". Being young and naive, and not understanding English at the time, when NRL appeared in full, I was convinced "that 2nd screamy B-side" would also come in no time. Except it didn't. It never did. Song was never even finished. Just for that reason, I'd love to hear whatever it was, even if it is shit 😄
  4. A few from me: Does a recording of A6 with Chester vocals really exist? How far did Massive go, as a demo? Was it the demo that got considered again during MTM writing process? What is Mike favorite demo out of the Lost demos CD?
  5. The breakdown/bridge in Massive is a monster. Huge Deftones vibe. One of the best things I've heard from this release.
  6. I wonder if this version of A-six is older than the one from LPU9, even though it has vocals. The instrumental sounds much, much less refined. Good to have it though 😛
  7. I'd say, let's not get too caught up into "Album A beats the hell out of Album B" territory, those often end up as heated up debates On a personal level, I'm just happy this 20th anniversary has revived my interest not only in Meteora, but in a lot of their discography as well. Hadn't listened to some of their stuff for ages.
  8. Almost entering the release's week. This has been a real fun ride, reminiscent of those days waiting for a new LP record. It is amazing how such hype could be brought back after such a long time.
  9. No harm done, it was nice that one of the attendees gave use some feedback anyway - so, thank you. We can't expect everyone to know by heart the gazillions LP demos/ snippets out there 😃
  10. It could also be that those vocal takes were legit discarded early on - didn't lead anywhere ^^' Based on the review, looking forward to Massive the most
  11. I am doubtful they will make a 20th edition for each album (especially anything post ATS) but I really, really, really wish there will be one for MTM. That is probably their last huge album in term of commercial success, so it is not impossible. Think about the crazy amount of material from that era. You can literally make your own custom "MTM Part 2" already. Below is one example that I have fun listening to, it flows rather smoothly 😛 Currently, all those songs are spread about everywhere, it would be awesome to have it all collected in one single release 😇 1. What We Don't Know (LPU10) 2. Across The Line (LPU9) 3. Qwerty (Studio version - LPU6) 4. The Last line (The Mall soundtrack) 5. Chances of Rain (LPU15) 6. Blackbirds (ATS Bonus) 7. Divided (LPU10) 8. Pretend to Be (LPU10) 9. Not Alone (Download To Donate) 10. No Roads Left (MTM Bonus)
  12. Chester was the king of over the top hype, also in a good way. His passion was and still is contagious. The issue with LT and THP is that they are very inconsistent. I think they have some of their best songs. Sadly the albums as a whole don't manage to maintain that quality level for the full run time, and get really average at times. OML has great melodies and song-writing throughout the whole record, but is unfortunately heavily pushed down by poor stylistic choices in the sound-design department. I mean, for example, the chipmunk stuff, it's really... of questionable taste. The clapping sounds are cliché. The rhythm sections are really boring from beginning to end.
  13. I'm really looking forward a version of A6 + vocals, I hope it'd have it all (verses/chorus/bridge)!
  14. I really like the sequence "Lost" into "Fighting Myself". First you get your super Linkin Park-ish hit single to get you pumped, and then, your classic banger. Definitely could have worked as the beginning of an official studio album.
  15. It's cool to hear how fond of the track Brad is. Mike was more "it was cool to go through that time capsule and rediscover what we were about at the time". While Brad is like "Amazing vocal performance, one of the best things we've ever made". He seems more hyped about it than even some fans
  16. I really didn't expect this one to have vocals. Great surprise. Tune has a real nice atmosphere. I think I dig the verses the most, as they're unexpectedly hard-hitting given the more laid-back, power-ballad style chorus. Other songs in that vein (Easier To Run, Crawling) had melodic verses as well, so it's cool they tried something else here.
  17. The way the vocal harmonizes in the chorus / bridge still gives me big-time Sum-41 vibes. The weird vocal samples and the drum beat are really cool too. It's a fun tune but slightly repetitive - the 2nd chorus is pretty much the first chorus copy/pasted 2 times. But for what it is, it's great to have it. We have to remember it is technically a demo, or as Mike put it, a 90% done song. Sure it is going to miss some attention to details other songs might have.
  18. Fighting Myself is pretty f*cking dope. I'll try my best not to overplay those recordings as the sound quality really don't make the song justice. But, what a banger.
  19. If More The Victim is Cumulus with vocals... that really makes me think Healing Foot is Broken Foot with (some form of ) vocals 😛 But probably not as complete as those 2 songs. Same with A6, but that one is more obvious.
  20. Wow, Chester parts on those songs have a big pop punk vibe. Almost like something from Sum-41. Not saying they sound like a Sum-41 song - they don't - but the chorus melodies and the delivery of the vocals in it go a bit in that direction.
  21. I think arguably, the song is better than half off the album (Nobody's Listening, Hit The Floor, Easier To Run, Don't Stay, Somewhere I Belong). Mostly due to Chester stellar performance, his vocals are absolutely stunning here. That said. I agree with Mike that having this and Numb on the same album wouldn't feel right. They are wayyy too similar, almost like twin songs.
  22. I mean, even if it's AI, I guess there still was a conscious decision to feed it with New Divide ^^'
  23. Regarding the New Divide references, two things come to mind : It adds an additional layer to the idea of "being lost in memories", by making references to memories of the "Linkin Park" days, not just Meteora. New Divide was a huge hit, which means lot of people would recognize the bits from "New Divide" More likely, it just looks cool with the effects and stuff ^^
