My favourite: IGYEIH, Emptiness Machine, Over Each Other, Good Things Go, Stained
Pretty good: Heavy Is The Crown, Casualty, Two Faced, Overflow, Cut The Bridge
Star Walkin' was 2022 but you're right, it was the only exception where the artist was allowed to have a more independent approach with their own team of producers, but I wouldn't be surprised if Riot still had some say or requirement for it.
I don't know anything about Justus but I'm liking this song, I rarely even listen to this type of music. I like especially how the drums sound. This song has a little 2000's vibe no? Smash Mouth comes to mind.
I don't know as much about Grey Daze than LP, so I want to ask if the song 'My Bluest Day' ever finished or was it just left as a Demo? It's my favorite Grey Daze song with Hole (2018 remaster) and I've been hoping to get either or both of those songs in good quality.
My bad, I wasn't sure what the CD contained aside from the five Live In Texas songs. The CityTVs 'Faint' & 'Numb' both have better audio and video (704x480 I believe) than the VHS so I was curious if the 'Don't Stay' would be similiar quality, at least the audio.
EDIT: I could be wrong about the better video quality but better audio for sure.
I have a question regarding the 2003 Jimmy Kimmel show's audio/video. Here it says - 'Faint' and 'Don't Stay' appear as videos on the 'LP Underground 3.0' CD's Enhanced Content (PROSHOT). I've NEVER seen/heard 'Don't Stay' in better quality than the VHS one that is available, does LPlive have it archived somewhere?
I've been trying to improve on the audios from that show but the VHS quality is way too bad and I don't have enough black magic to improve on them much. Which is a shame because the performances from that show are one of the best imo.
I could be wrong but my bet is, they will continue with the name Linkin Park but will not take a new singer. I feel like even if they revived some legendary singer from the dead who could sing the songs to a perfection, he would still get booed off stage. That is how much people loved Chester and they would see replacing him as a spit to the face. At least right now and near future, i don't think people don't want to hear the old tracks sung by another singer. It would feel like "too soon" and weird. Playback for Chestert's vocals feels the correct thing to do for the moment to pay a tribute.
About the name change, we need to understand that it's not as simple to just change the name. Linkin Park is more than just a name. It's a brand that the guys have worked on for many years to achieve this massive level of global reach. I have never met someone who doesn't know Linkin Park. There's a reason STP didn't change their name either. It's not to disrespect anyone, it's just the way it goes in this business. Nobody will ever forget Chester and what he has done with the band.
