Actually from the comments I'd say people give more fucks about With You and Runaway than the first live performance of Burn It Down. Maybe I'm not the only one who thinks it was pretty lame...almost boring :/
Omg...with you... I almost cried :')
The setlist is great! The medley of the 3 ballads was very creative. And Sabotage bridge on BIO was sick O_O It must have been a great show for everyone that was there
Btw, Burn It Down seemed a little meh live... It doesn't do it for me :/
No..just no. Other songs have much better drums. The best being Little things give you away.
Anyways, the guy that wrote the Artist Direct Review just tweeted about the new Gojira track as "mind-numbingly awesome". Seriously, he must be a fanboy of everything...
It was not irrelevant. I just stated that if we are going to compare the two, let's compare their songwriting abilities too, not only their singing. Do you find this a terrible argument?
It's easy to see what he means though. He thought of them as mainstream and therefore immediately rejected them. It's a common logic among kids who listen to punk rock/ underground music.
Sounds like it, but there's doubletrack on Chester at the bridge, and some effects when he says "Beneath my skin". Also I remember it was inside a demo tape I downloaded some time ago.
Brace yourselves, massive radio airplay on sight. Oh well, it's nothing spectacular, but it's ok I guess. I think the album will have better songs than this. Or at least I hope...
the only thing that I don't like is the drum machine. Other than that it's stereotypical LP, and I actually like the distortion with the electronic effects. But why not real drums instead of that drum machine? :/
