  1. All of those bands are not underground :3 Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Slayer were some of the forerunners of Metal....they have a bigger fanbase in one instrument than LP has.....that is not underground. Deep Purple was also incredibly influential to Rock music.....they aren't underground didn't I say this a while ago saying that the album wasn't commercial.....they have a song basically saying Fuck you we are making what we want....how in the hell is that selling out?!? IF they wanted to make music that would commercially sell they would make music like what you hear on top 40.....and they would BE on the top 40. But they ARE NOT.....meaning that their music ISN'T popular.....do some research. they dont need to try to be famous....they ALREADY ARE! thats what their first two albums did really. It put them in the position where they could reach even higher....but they choose the honorable way and made the music that they wanted to make...... honestly LP fans are some of the bitchiest people in the world.....
  2. Gotta say when it first came out, it did impress me. Yes it was different, but thats what I was looking for at the time. I was about a month into my freshmen year of college and I was looking for something new, some new style of music to go along with the changes that were going through my life.. I never liked Hybrid Theory....in fact I completely despise it. It was a very mediocre album to say the most. Meteora was much better. It featured the experimentation that I've come to love in music in general. Then Minutes to Midnight came out and at first I hated it.....but now that I'm older I can truly appreciate the album. It personifies the music that I love. Then there was A Thousand Suns. It currently stands as my second favorite LP album behind MTM....but it is quickly rising as I listen to it more and more. I absolutely love the maturity about it. There are alot of nuances in the album that most kids wouldnt get.....hell I just realized them in the past month.. The album has a deepness to the lyrics and instrumentation that not many bands can actually accomplish. It is the very personification of a musician. That is to create an album for the sake of music itself. Thats what it means to me to be a musician. So yes I love ATS. In time it will be one of those albums that is remembered and praised by most, even if they originally hated it. Favorite Tracks: Burning in the Skies The Catalyst Iridescent Robot Boy and Blackout.
  3. Get rid of the first verse and just put reading my eyes in.... or Put No Road's Left in the first Verse and put There They Go in the second verse.
  4. Points of Authority/When They Come for Me was fucking boss....currently listening to it. also Crawling intro sweet! also also Blackout was fucking brilliant.....I mean it just added an epicness....the instrumental to that was amazing.
  5. how bout we stop trying to tell them what to write and let them write THEIR OWN DAMN MUSIC!!! Its not your music. Its theres. its the same thing with movies, books, and video games as well as anything else creative. Its not yours so you dont have the right to judge it. Its THEIRS. I'd like to make a comparison here. Don Gilmore = michael bay Rick Rubin = Christopher nolan. one is very good at making movies that make you think. the other is good at making things that are flashy and have no real meaning. some people like one and some people like the other. but again why should they have to listen to you for the music THEY want to make. If you dont like it fine, YOU dont have to listen to it, do you really think it affects them that much? Its music THEY love, its music THEY WANT to make. So shut up, stop bickering and wait because whatever they make is going to be good in its own way. I personally love MTM as all of the albums but ATS has started to grow on me. Just like a persons music taste changes an artists kind of music they create changes. Artists Grow up, they dont stay kids. They are gonna write music that is meaningful to them....and present it in a way that most people can relate too. /rant
  6. Rolling stone article about LP's next album. LP is pushing the album for next year. Source - Rolling Stone Article
  7. David Krumholtz as Charlie Eppes wore a Minutes to Midnight release T-shirt in the Numb3rs episode "Velocity" Season 4. Episode 3. It was white with the LP circle logo with 5-15-07 underneath.
  8. especially since whoever is doing is terrible at it lol
  9. that skype link is not working for me..... they look like ten years younger...the small stage suits this song lol
  10. phoenix whats in your blue cup
  11. I think they should go Prog-Rock and make a "True" concept album. they have the talent to actually make good music.....they should use it. At least A Thousand Suns and Minutes to Midnight showed more of their talent than the mediocrity that was Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Now they need to Really focus that talent. We have heard Chester Sing, Mike Rap, Brad and Rob Solo, and Joe Solo. They have the talent! They just need to use it. and begin the angry the replies.....
  12. I think its gonna be released on December 22nd, 2012...
  13. I don't know if this has been said (or if its what you want) but.... The girl from the music video for Numb was the main actress in the movie: Step Up 2: The Streets.
  14. This reminds me of Boderlands for some reason .....
  15. what if they actually did play the most random setlist ever hahaha
  16. this seems like a completely different band.....I'm not talking just sound wise. There is a completely different stage presence here. they seem like they are having a great time.....the new performances seem really uptight.....just saying
  17. Dead by Sunrise tour pt. 2???
  18. If they film something they need to do it right. Play A Thousand suns straight through....then come back out at the encore after thats done and play a first and second encore first would be like a normal setlist of of non-ATS material and then play a second encore....a real one.
  19. I hope they close with One Step Closer....but use the Reanimation Bridge.....that would be epic
  20. That would be epic....you mean like MCR did during the Black parade tour?
  21. So I found the site when I was looking to see if Linkin Park was going to play in pittsburgh ohhhh id say about three years ago. I found it when it was joined with that other site whatever the hell it was called. I just saw all the setlists, and I thought that it was a great site, so i decided to join that one. Then when they split I went with this site, and recreated my profile. So yeah I love the site and the people on it.
