everytime when i summarize the things we "know" about the sound of the new album, i come to the same conclusion... i think the new album will sound pretty much like reanimation! long songs, complex structures (proggy sound), heavy but melodic, electronic, industrial influences, rapping...it's all there in the sound of reanimation^^ personally i wouldn't mind because i love reanimation =)

1. Hybrid Theory - Papercut, One Step Closer, Crawling, By Myself, Pushing Me Away 2. Meteora - Don't Stay, Faint, Figure.09, From the Inside 2. Reanimation - P5hng Me A*wy, Wth>You, By_Myslf, 1Stp Klosr, Krwlng 4. Minutes to Midnight - Given Up, Bleed it Out, No MOre Sorrow, In Pieces, No Roads Left I think that Meteora and Reanimation are pretty much on the same level in terms of quality =)

i think mike once mentioned in a lpu chat, that they will play only singles and songs from the new album. thank god that most of the singles are heavy songs (except of sotd and loatr)!!

i'll go to stuttgart for sure.. i'm so happy because i'm 100% sure that they will play something from the new album on this tour =)

RIP Dio =( you will always live on in your wonderful music! without you there wouldn't be any modern metal band (like linkin park), therefore i love you =)

Oh now one thing comes in my mind! maybe he doesn't want the fans to have to high hopes for nu metal to return. may be he gave the without metal statement because of this. but i strongly hope that there will be metal elements in the new album, not nu metal but alternative metal or rap metal elements! EDIT: or industrial metal elements like in reanimation, would be pretty great too =)

in his description of the new lp album there's a contradiction! in hybrid theory there were plenty of metal elements and in mtm there were less but there were some influences of metal in songs like given up, bleed it out, no more sorrow and no roads left! so how in the world could a mixture of both albums be heavy without metal??

i hope there will be more influences or elements of the hybrid theory and meteora sound in the new album! i don't want them to sound exactly like in those two albums, but a bit more influenced by the heavier sound would be pretty great for the new album =)

for me it looks like brad is doing really a lot in the studio! it seams like he is some sort of responsible for the music =)

i have to say that the people are right when they say that the song fits the situation perfectly.. but if i try to dismiss all the thoughts about haiti in my mind, i don't like the song, i hope the new album will be a bit different because this is pop music, but linkin park should stay a rock/metal band!!

ok with a title like "ten minutes to midnight", i think it'll be a mtm b-side!!

i think it is a beta version of the ipod game, mike clearly said that the lpu will be able to be the first ones who can test it properly^^ but possibly it could be a snippet of a new song or a first episode of a studio diary, but i don't believe it very much! xD

You forget that the majority of bands out there, do not release singles! but those bands do release a song a few months before the album releases for giving a taste of the new sound, but it's not a single. Most of the bands do this on MySpace, but Linkin Park could do it a bit different this time. But you forget also that this is a hope of mine and that I don't belive it myself that the song is from the new album. I only think that the new song will clearly represent the new direction the band is going with the new album!

ok now i think everyone here is right that the song won't be a song from the new album! but i think when mike says BRAND new song, i think it won't be a song from the minutes to midnight recording time or from even longer in the past! i hope it will be something from the new album but i think it will be a song made for the game, but it will show us a bit of the direction, which the new album's sound will go into!

until the game is released, i think the songs can possibly be 100% completed! and every band in the world releases a song a few months before the album release for giving a taste of the album's sound!!! and i think this could be a good method to do this, but may be it'll be only a new mhhh...cookies thing xD xD

i hope that the new song at the end of the game, is one of the five songs completed for the new album =) this would be f***ing great^^

i totally agree with that =) the only thing i want for the new album is more heavy guitar riffs and maybe two or more guitar solos! i hope mike or one of the other guys gives us an update after monday^^

wrong!!! they are considered now as hard rock bands but they are both one of the main pioneering bands of heavy metal including led zeppelin and black sabbath. look i know wikipedia is not reliable but there are many sources listed in there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_heavy_metal_bands

i think it would be a great mix =) i mean ac/dc and queen are both pioneers of heavy metal/hard rock so i think it has some pretty heavy riffs and when mike says hardcore techno i think he means that there are a lot of samples in it. pretty tight mix if you ask me^^ and ac/dc + queen = pretty tight guitar solo xD

thanks for the fast answer and for this information, so i would say with me in the audience at thursday will be very intense =) xD i would be happy when more people write some experience reports of mosh pits at linkin park concerts, so the wouldn't lose its sin completely xD

hey guys, i'm felix from germany =) i'm more of a metalhead because i hear besides linkin park only extreme metal (black and death metal), so i love mosh pits xD last year i was in munich at the projekt revolution concert but i wasn't very near at the stage so i was very far away of the real action^^ i have some questions at those people who were already at a lot of linkin park concerts. are there some mosh pits at linkin park gigs, if yes then where are they and only at the harder songs or not? what should i do to be in the mosh pit in stuttgart at thursday? i apologize for all the grammar mistakes and so on but my english isnt very good =)
