    I agree with everything you're saying, but I think there was definitely more there that was scrapped because of Warner. There was creativity, but it could've been more. Now what I have to wonder is, was the "sophomore album" really "ridiculously bad", or just "ridiculous"? Phoenix seems undecided in the Making of Meteora DVD. I doubt the music was bad, but it was too ridiculous for the label's liking, so it was scrapped.

    The chances of a full studio album in 2011 are very unlikely, based on the past trend. I won't get my hopes up.

    I get that, but I would still much rather have Meteora-era stuff. Like you said, Meteora sounded like Hybrid Theory, but who knows what awesome b-sides they scrapped (see:Halo) because Warner never would've let LP put them on the album? She Couldn't proves that even in the pre-MTM time period they were making non-heavy, alternative stuff that doesn't sound like HT, and I would love to get to hear some of that.

    There is no specific reason anyone likes a song or doesn't. Your opinion differs from those who love it, just as it is with any music.

    Uh, no. We have next to nothing from the Meteora sessions besides the LPU9 demos. The only full b-sides we have (as far as I know) are Unfortunate, Halo, Standing In The Middle Of It (?). I may be missing something, but we are severely lacking compared to the MTM sessions.

    Unfortunately, yes. Only the one cassette exists and who knows if Chester even still has it.

    Yes it was. You can hear it on MTM DVD as "da na na na na na na, the pieces of your secrets" or something like that.
