  1. Since everyone is talking about tours and setlists now, I'm going to give my sexy dream set list. If I had control over the band, I would have them do an underground tour consisting of this setlist: 1. She Couldn't 2. Across The Line 3. Not Alone (just a one time thing maybe) 4. No Roads Left (still dreaming) 5. Reading My Eyes 6. Blackbirds 7. High Voltage 8. Carousel 9. Hardly Breathe (with Mike doing the rapping parts) 10. Dedicated 11. Easier To Run 12. Nobody's Listening -----Encore---- 1. You Ain't Gotsta Gotsta 2. 26 Lettaz In Da Alphabet 3. The Wizard Song (lmao) 4. In Circles (Razor Red Noise cover) 5. In Between blending into Mike doing Rihanna Umbrella cover blending into Michael Jackson Beat It cover Ok, I was joking about some of these selections but this would be a hilarious and awesome tour.
  2. I wonder about the date. On Mike's blog post, he just said it was coming out soon. He didn't say anything about April 30th. Maybe he just doesn't know about it but I wonder if IGN got that date from the developer. Does anyone know for sure 100% whether April 30th is the correct date? I guess it's good to know it most likely won't come out any later than that but it's going to suck waiting a month if it's correct. There's always that chance though that the song could leak before the release date.
  3. Yea, I know. Not Alone was a good song with a heart warming message, even though it was a bit repetitive. And Across the Line was great and I thought it was better than 1/3 of M2M. I'm just saying though that I think Blackbirds (based on the preview) has a real chance of being better than both of those songs.
  4. Yea, based on the preview, the rapping definitely felt a bit more old school and more like HT/Meteora than some of the rapping on M2M and since. I'm excited as hell to hear the rapping and for me personally, if the rest of the song is just as good as this preview, I think this will be the best song since New Divide imo. I'm seriously praying that the April 30th thing isn't correct.
  5. Well, I guess this answers my question from before. What a wacky name. I think there's a very high probability that it is the final version of 6th strings song. I'm sure it will be much more obvious though once the full song comes out. Mike or the rest of the band will probably elaborate on it and say whether it is the 6th strings song or not and whether it is from the M2M sessions. I totally wasn't expecting this though. I'm way more excited for this song now. I was expecting that the song was going to be super ass heavy and resemble a song like Qwerty or Bleed It Out. Man, now the waiting begins. This will be tough.
  6. I wonder if there was ever any truth to the song supposedly being called Ten Minutes to Midnight. I'm going to say....no.
  7. I can't imagine that they wouldn't give us a release date after all this waiting and all this talk after Mike saying "Lulz, just a couple more weeks" back in January. I seriously doubt that this is true but I remember reading on another LP fansite (can't remember which one) that the game would be coming out this month according to some anonymous source. I guess we'll find out soon whether it will be coming out in the next 5 days.
  8. I'm actually not wishing that Linkin Park puts up footage containing new music from the next album. I guess a bit wouldn't hurt though. And for the most part, I'm fine with them taking a bit longer on the new album (as long as it gets released by September of this year) as long as they keep releasing new music or other fun shit along the way. However, what I am wishing is that Mike or the band would give us an update on 8 bit rebellion. That's the only thing I'm disappointed with now. I thought for sure it would have been out by now. I think it's been long enough past when Mike said it would be out for someone to give an update.
  9. If you think of it that way, it's also DBSLive and maybe even FortMLive and ChestSoloLive. Probably not GreyDazeLive though.
  10. Killing Fields by a bit. Dreamland is in the top 10 for me though and is a fav. If I remember though, it was a bit too repetitive and the chorus could have been better to me.
  11. I'll admit, some people on fan sites will defend Linkin Park until the grave. I'm not exactly one of those people. I'll admit that the band, like most bands, has flaws. And they aren't the best band of all time. There was a time when I wouldn't listen to anything but Linkin Park. Well, maybe Linkin Park and 5 other bands. My musical tastes have since expanded and I probably listen to over 30 bands now. What you can't do (which loxias did) is try to make an opinion sound like a fact and then be an arrogant ass hole to those who disagree with you. Loxias was a hypocrite. As you said, he approached this the wrong way. He came across as another condescending metal fan who was trying to make the band sound inferior to other metal bands. And he did this in an illogical manner. And I don't really care if he's in the LPU or how long he's been a "fan". I don't care if he made a Madison remix. Some people might consider someone like him to be a fan of this band but I don't. Not with his extreme ignorance and insults towards the band. He's just another "fan" who is in relapse. He thinks the band sucks and he tried his best to explain why and get people to agree with him. And to be honest, I did agree with some of what he said. I would have agreed even more though if he didn't use the same outdated and inaccurate insults that most metal fans use when insulting Linkin Park. You can say that there are better bands out there than Linkin Park. And you're probably right. Again, that's an opinion, not a fact. However, it all depends on what someone values in their music. If you value good, fast, and aggressive guitar playing and solos more than good lyric writing and melodic singing, then maybe you're more likely to enjoy some of the bands loxias listed and less likely to enjoy Linkin Park. Given the current state of modern rock and music as a whole, I just genuinely believe that Linkin Park is ONE of the best bands out there. They are one of the best bands at what they excel in. The strength of their music is in their song writing, catchy songs, and the fact that they have one of the best lyricists (Mike) and singers in the world. As I said before though, they definitely have weaknesses also. Some of these weaknesses are due to how the band is built. And yes, Chester has been declining as a vocalist a bit. However, he's also had to sing MUCH harder songs during the last three years than on HT and Meteora. What I've Done and New Divide are probably 3x harder to sing than In The End and Somewhere I Belong. I have no idea how the hell this guy has gone on for so long like this with him continuing to smoke and the songs getting harder.
  12. Definitely a kick ass song. Not really sure why this didn't make Death to Analog in the U.S. if they were thinking of putting it on there. I probably like Forever, Kick The Bass, and Disease better than Killing Fields right now but I understand most people's point which is that this was better than most of Death to Analog. For me, it's a top 5 song and probably better than 9 or 10 of the 14 tracks on Death to Analog.
  13. No, it doesn't mean DBS sucks. It means exactly what he said. He feels that they kicked some ass but not as much ass as Linkin Park. He could have been upset or referring to a couple of the live performances from the shows that didn't go well. I think he knows Linkin Park is a better band and I think most of us would probably agree. And like Alex said, he's obviously not going to twist it around and say DBS kicks more ass. As much as some of you would love to put words in Chester's mouth and hope to god that he is starting to agree with you and admit that the project was a failure or sucked, he didn't do that in this video. It's fairly obvious that he's been disappointed in a couple things but he's never said anything about the actual music on the record being bad or the project being an all out failure. That's you saying that. Not him. There's no doubt though that he's questioned the record and the project at times but this is mainly because of the shitty promotion it received.
  14. Bad promotion doesn't equal bad record. Luckily, the way the album sounds isn't determined by the promotion. The promotion wasn't that good but the record was good. Thank god for that. And I'm looking forward to the next DBS album after the next LP album.
  15. Yea, you're right about that. I should have been more careful about my choice of words. They were able to get the three songs done (Fire, Crawl Back In, My Suffering) which they were able to get done at every other show before that. I guess I was meaning to say that there were some boo's after every song and maybe a couple things thrown. I actually wasn't even at Epicenter but you can clearly hear from the videos on youtube a mixed reaction of cheers and boos after every song.
  16. And I accidentally made another post. Oh well.
  17. I agree with a lot of what you're saying but at the same time, I don't think it's as bad as you made it sound. As far as I know, Epicenter was the only concert in which they had a serious negative reception. They got booed off stage at that show and it wasn't pretty. However, I don't think you can expect Tool fans to embrace a band like DBS. The other shows, particularly in Europe, they've seemed to get a good reception. And I think 75-80% of the Linkin Park fans I've seen, particularly on this site, really enjoyed the album. Obviously, they don't think it's better than Linkin Park but most fans I've seen both on this site and elsewhere think it's a good record. Better than alright. I agree with everything else though. I don't think he's doing this for more sales even though the record has gotten some bad reviews and relatively poor sales.
  18. I don't think so. I think the band did appreciate M2M and I think they realize that the album was important for their careers as musicians. And that's why this album will hopefully be a mix between HT and M2M like Chester said. If he's actually being serious and this description is accurate, it could mean great things. I know most Linkin Park fans would rather them simply revert straight back to HT and Meteora. When I first thought about this, I was ok with that possibility. After all, I still think HT was their best album so I felt that I would be satisfied if they simply switched back. Now though, after I've learned to appreciate M2M more, I've changed my mind. I don't think anymore that I would be happy if they just reverted back to Hybrid Theory and Meteora. We'd lose Mike's singing which means another song like No Roads Left wouldn't be possible. We'd also lose the guitar solos which means nothing like In Pieces would be possible. I simply wouldn't want that. The bottom line is that three main things have to happen to me for this album to be the best LP album. Keep the guitar solos from M2M and work on them. Keep Mike's singing which really emerged on M2M. And then bring back more of Mike's rapping. If they can somehow achieve a balance between these things and keep the good from M2M while bringing back some of the good from HT and Meteora, it could make for an epic album. It sounds like there's still a chance this could happen. Then again though, I'm not having high expectations for this album. And like Astat said, you can't take comments from the band like this one from Chester too seriously. At this point, with everything that has been said, anything could happen. There's still a chance that this album could go in a TOTALLY different direction from the previous three albums which would be unfortunate to me. I think they just need to build on what they've done and bring back more of some old things such as Mike's rapping. They can't forget about the things that made M2M good. This is just my opinion though and I know everyone has their own idea of what they want the next album to sound like.
  19. Maybe Mike and the band will write a song about the fans who are still frustrated about the lack of material and how long the new album is taking. The song will be called Never Satisfied. I can just imagine what the lyrics might be. Ok, just messing around. Don't take it personally peeps.
  20. For anyone who is actually seriously upset about how long it might take for the new album, I only have one thing to say. Cause I lost my mind. And I can't regain control. And when I see your face I know the highest walls we climbed! And when I used to close my eyes, you would be there all along! Edit: What I'm trying to say is...go listen to some razor red noise!
  21. At this point, this is all just getting tiring and annoying. And frankly, it's ridiculous. He really shouldn't be responding to the so called "fans" who are still complaining and upset about the "lack" of material or how long the album is taking. He's already explained himself. He doesn't need to defend himself or his position anymore. Let New Divide, Across The Line, Not Alone, the 8 bit rebellion song, and the DBS album (which 75-80% of LP fans enjoyed) speak for itself. At this point, the fans who aren't satisfied with what they've got since Minutes to Midnight won't be satisfied until the next full album comes out. Let them complain and be ignorant about the creative process which goes into making an album. I for one (and I think others) can say that I have enough new music from the band (and it's individual members) to last me until the new album comes out. Given everything they've done since M2M (both collectively and individually), I can excuse them if they don't have the new album out until late 2010. We still aren't going to have to wait as long as we did for M2M and that's what matters to me.
  22. You did good though. I would have been more nervous. I'll take Brad's sarcasm as a hope that there will be more guitar solos on the album. I got through but they told me they couldn't take my question. Too many callers. Oh well.
  23. Wow, I'm glad you got through. You actually asked the same thing I was going to ask about the guitar solos. Too bad Brad wasn't a bit more informative haha.
  24. How many times did you have to call to get through? I'm guessing it's very difficult. I've called like 100 times straight but just a busy signal.
  25. This is exciting. I definitely don't expect it to top last time with Chester, Talinda, and Ryan but it should still be interesting. I'm seriously going to try my hardest this time to call in and ask something. Brad being on should be... intriguing.
