  1. I noticed the drum groove is pretty similar to In Pieces. The song seems to have a lot of small details from each album, but to me it mostly sounds like something that was made in between Living Things and The Hunting Party.
  2. I really like the new song, but in its own bubble. I just can't get behind Emily doing the older stuff yet. I see they changed the key of most songs to fit her vocal range, and it just feels and sounds so strange. Naturally. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it feels like I am listening to a cover band. Seeing that Rob is no longer involved with the band really hurts to see, too.
  3. I wouldn't mind if they just did collaborations with a different vocalist per song. Not sure how that would work in a live environment with a tour, but it would add a lot of variety for all fans to enjoy. And it wouldn't put so much pressure on a single person to fill the shoes of Chester's spot. I am excited either way.
  4. The preview sounds awesome. Interesting for the song to be in Drop D considering the year it was made
  5. Cool that there is a small part of the LPU version of Robot Boy in the Jornada del Muerto stuff! It sounds like a bit of a rougher mixdown with less processing especially on the background vocals.
  6. Same, I thought it sounded really good.
  7. I never got to see them live as they cancelled on the THP tour in Pittsburgh because Chester injured himself and wow this is a one in a lifetime thing.. I live in Ohio and I am going to this if I can get tickets. Hope to see some of you there!
  8. I like it. When I saw 2003 I thought of Meteora and was waiting for distorted guitars to pop in, but to my surprise there was none so maybe this was a Mike only project. It seems like the Shadow of the Day vocal track could make this a cool song.
  9. Judging from the roughness and simplicity of the mix compared to So Far Away, I'd say it's an early demo for the song and Mike doesn't remember.
  10. Is there a reason Daron from System of a Down gets no publicity from Linkin Park for being a guest on their album? The LPTV episodes of them playing Rebellion live are filmed and edited to make it seem as if Daron isn't there,, and there was no "making of" for Rebellion like there was for Rakim and Tom on their YouTube channel. It seems kind of weird to me, idk.
  11. Am I the only one who thought it has a "Final Masquerade" vibe?
  12. Chester sounds heavily auto-tuned to me.
  13. I play guitar and bass and have done a few covers. https://m.soundcloud.com/brandon-yancar/guilty-all-the-same-linkin-park-guitar-tone-test
