Now that we know the origins of many of those samples and we have a list of samples present in each demo, I was thinking we could check their dates to figure out an approximate date for the demos. Here's the list I made:

      Hide contents

None But The Lonely Heart by André Kostelanetz And His Orchestra (1958)
From Russia With Love by John Barry (1963)
    Goldfinger by Shirley Bassey (1965)
Tuesday Afternoon by The Moody Blues (1967)
House Of Four Doors (Part 2) by The Moody Blues (1968)
Parisian Pierrot by Julie Andrews (1968)
Sex Explained For Children by Nathan S. Leichmann and Stanley Z. Daniels (1971)
Change The Beat (Female Version) by Beside (1982)
Running With The Night by Lionel Richie (1983)
Step In The Arena by Gang Starr (1991)
    China by Tori Amos (1992)
Shit, Damn, Motherfucker by D'Angelo (1995)
    Lifter by Deftones (1995)
Eye For An Eye (Your Beef Is Mines) by Mobb Deep featuring Nas and Raekwon (1995)
Little Horn by Marilyn Manson (1996)
    Unravel by Björk (1997)
Around The Fur by Deftones (1997)
Do It Again by EPMD (1997)
Last Man Standing by EPMD (1997)
The Perfect Drug (Nine Inch Nails Remix) by Nine Inch Nails (1997)
    Undenied by Portishead (1997)
Half Day Closing by Portishead (1997)
The Saga Begins by Rakim (1997)
Vapor Trail by The Crystal Method (1997)
Caribbean Connection by Big Pun featuring Wyclef Jean (1998)
    Intro by Big Pun (1998)
You Never Knew by Hieroglyphics (1998)
What's It All About by Rasco (1998)
Me & My Crew by Rasco (1998)
17 by The Smashing Pumpkins (1998)
Just Like This by Limp Bizkit (1999)

You forgot about "Three Coins In The Fountain" by The Melachrino Strings And Orchestra (1959).

  2. I think the CO_TOOL1 sample belongs to the band Tool, but as for what the song is that is sampled, I don't know. Since it's a sample of Coal, which is a Xero demo that dates back to 1997, it must be a sample to one of their songs from one of their albums before 1997. The albums that can be considered are 'Undertow', which was released in 1993, and 'Ænima', which was released in 1996.

As @NJPLP stated in other post,

on the "Art of Meteora" appears lyrics from unknown Meteora demos we probably don't know about that was scribbled on the Meteora art wall by Chester.

    1) "Somebody angry (with the word ‘angry’ crossed out) broken." - More The Victim

    2) "I've carried this weight for too long... Disassociated, unappreciated. And everything I've hated, keeping me so jaded. I look into the mirror, and I hate what I see. All my lifes disfunction, alive in front of me." - Unknown

    3) "Wait ‘til I’m free, I promise you’ll see." - Unknown

    4) "And everything I thought it'd be is nothing like it is." - Unknown

Maybe these last 3 lyrics are from the new demos: A6, Resolution, Healing Foot (?).. I think Wesside and Massive don't have vocals.

Rob said, "We had so many songs. We actually went into the studio with 18 songs that we recorded drums on." And according to a studio report from Mike, in total, the band worked on 15 full songs for the album, with 12 of them making the final cut. "Fighting Myself" and "A6" weren't in the final batch. "Lost", "More The Victim" and "Resolution" were in the final batch of 15 songs.

So, I think the next unreleased songs with full vocals are "Resolution" , "A6" and maybe "Healing Foot".

Based off this info, maybe "Serpent" is indeed the working title to "Lost", as @IWillWalkAway has said multiple times before. Also, you know how there is a blank space on the Meteora board in between "Cuidado" and "Pretty Birdie" that has an X over the drums column? Maybe that's "Nobody's Listening", which probably didn't have a name at the time of that footage when they were at NRG Studios (which is shown in the Making of Meteora), which explains why it's blank. And "Nocturnal" is probably the working title to "Numb", based off none of the sections being filled in at the time that the footage was taken, meaning they worked on it after the footage that was shown, which isn't shown in the footage.

There's also the possibility that the blank space on the Meteora board in between "Cuidado" and "Pretty Birdie" that has an X over the drums column is "Numb", which, again, probably didn't have a name at the time of that footage when they were at NRG Studios (which is shown in the Making of Meteora), which explains why it's blank. Same could apply to "Nocturnal" probably being the working title to "Nobody's Listening", again, based off none of the sections being filled in at the time that the footage was taken, meaning they worked on it after the footage that was shown, which isn't shown in the footage.

  4. I have a feeling that "Broken Foot" is probably "Healing Foot" with vocals, based off this quote that Mike wrote in the LPU 11 booklet: "This was what I imagine all our Meteora demos sounded like. I always thought this might have sounded cool with some rapping in the verses."

Also, I think that "Massive" or "Wesside" is probably "Soundtrack" with vocals, based off this quote that Mike wrote in the LPU 11 booklet: "We tried different vocal treatments, but they never really panned out; I think we felt this track was a bit too poppy. We tried turning the guitars up really loud to counterbalance it, but at the end of the day, this song didn't make the cut."

Who knows, to be honest. We'll end up finding out on April 7th.

Mike said in the Q&A on discord that he received a copy of the box, but he was not allowed to open it yet, as it would be for him to do the Unboxing as it was in HT20.

of course he must have received more than one copy apparently lol

Mike did the HT20 box set unboxing on September 23rd, 2020, which was a Wednesday. That day was two weeks and two days before the HT20 stuff was released. I have feeling he may do an unboxing for the M20 box set sometime during the week of March 20th-24th, which is two weeks before the week that the M20 stuff gets released, though, who honestly knows.

Edit: He did an unboxing of it today on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023.

    Mountain 20? haha

I've also seen people on Reddit shortening it to that and on one Reddit post, I saw one comment from someone asking what MT20 meant, and another commenter replied that it stood for "Meteora Theory", lol. I can't find the post now, because the post was made a while back, but I remember seeing that in the comments of the post for sure.

I noticed that the Xero page still says that Pictureboard has never been released, and also has no mention of the name Ashes or Flower (though Ashes is described by its lpu moment)

Flower isn't a Xero era demo. Flower is a Hybrid Theory (band) era demo.

There was also song called Linkin Park - Lost. It was fake song, but I can't find it now. It was sometime in 2010 on YouTube.

Kinda funny that they, technically, predicted the name to one of the most popular unreleased songs that has been released by Linkin Park.

Yeah, I just found the whole snippet  interesting as it's a mixture of known and unknown. Whole reason I  downloaded it.

I don't think the last is Soaring Man. I think it's the one pulled from Making of Meteora.

It could still be a fake compilation, though, with real songs added to make it more believable.

No, "Unreleased" is the Soaring Man cover of the demo.

The part of the song in the snippet plays at 3:31.

This is another version of the snippet part that plays in the Meteora demo snippets.

After it is a Riverline demo. It's on their YouTube channel.

Are you talking about the song that plays after "Breaking the Habit"?

  10. 2 hours ago, TheVeryLastDinosaur said:

Oh? I just double checked and Heavy demo no longer exists over there on VK anymore? Guess, that's the answer. @NJPLP Sorry, mate. If there's anything else you want though just hit me up. Though I'm pretty sure all I have you have as well.

I think the version of "Breaking the Habit" in the Meteora demo snippets is the version that's heard in the Making of Meteora/LPTV. When the orchestra were recording the live strings to the song.

I'm not entirely sure what the song is that plays after it, but it does indeed sound familiar. Also, "Broken Foot" and "Pepper" both have increased volume, making them sound louder that their regular versions. "Rhinocerous" is pitched down a bit. "Unreleased" is the Soaring Man cover version of the demo.

    Xero/Hybrid Theory

    ---Dialate shorts/stems/seeds
Another Youtube video from a channel called *. Video is called *
It is the only video up on the channel and it is isolated parts of the song Dialate. I have no idea how he got them. i thought it could of
been fake but they also have isolated vocals which gives it more credibility in my eyes. Broken apart and separated by me.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    *Meteora

    ---Numb
Lacks drums. Dunno what to make of this. Was labled as Untitled but the time was shorter than the In The End demos
and that caught my eye. I think it was mp3.com that I got this from but can't remember for sure.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    *One More Light

    ---Heavy demo
Told it's most likely fake as the stems exist online. From Vk.com

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Do you still have these?

  12. How can you convert .snd files online? I've tried using multiple converters and they all end up giving me errors because it couldn't convert for some reason.

    Edit: Nevermind.

I think the NIN_PDRG sample (or a similar sample to that) is sampled in Chair (1999 "Part Of Me" Demo), Part Of Me (9-Track Demo), and Part Of Me (8/7-Track Demo).

The sample plays from 0:20 to 0:33 in Chair (1999 "Part Of Me" Demo).

The sample plays from 0:27 to 0:40 in the first verse and 1:21 to 1:34 in the second verse in Part Of Me (9-Track Demo).

The sample plays from 0:34 to 0:47 in the first verse and 1:28 to 1:41 in the second verse in Part Of Me (8/7-Track Demo).

Does someone know why episode 1 and 5 are missing from LPs youtube channel? All other episodes seem to be there?

Can someone give me a reminder where that shot of the board came from? Is it from an LPTV as well?

Late reply on this, but it is seen in the LPTV's, though, it is more commonly seen in the Making Of Meteora DVD when the band was recording at NRG.

Here's the topic with some photos of the Meteora board:

I didn't found anything of those... actually i've asked on a NIN reddit like i said... someone mentioned about NIN_BLUE but i couldn't find
    DEFTKICK0 - Lifter by Deftones

Xero Current > deftones - Around the Fur
(there's another sample that uses this drum... but i can't remember which one)

MIKE MPC > LIMPKICK1 - Just Like This by Limp Bizkit

P_Weston must be from Paul Weston.

Idk about the others you've mentioned ((so far))

On Linkinpedia, it says that the DEFKICK0 sample is "My Own Summer (Shove It)". Not sure if you are wrong or they are wrong. Who knows. Unless you meant to put DEFTKICR instead of DEFTKICK0.

I found the deftones sample already, lol. Yes, it does come from "Around The Fur". I'll check in a bit to see if the sample is used in another Deftones song.

The P_Weston sample does belong to Paul Weston, but as for what the song is that is sampled, I don't know.

The OUTKAST_ sample belongs to the band Outkast, but as for what the song is that is sampled, I don't know. Since it's in the Xero Current folder, which contains samples that date back to the earliest 1997 to the latest of 1999 or early 2000, it must be a sample to one of their songs from one of their albums before 2000. The albums that can be considered are 'Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik', which was released in 1994, 'ATLiens', which was released in 1996, and 'Aquemini', which was released in 1998.

Also, I think the TIMDRUMS and TIMKICK1 samples come from a song (or a couple of songs) by Primus. I think the names of the samples refer to Tim Alexander, the drummer of Primus. The sample comes from a song off one of their albums before he left the band in 1996 before later rejoining in 2003, to which he left again in 2010, then rejoined in 2013. The albums that can be considered from his first stint in the band are 'Frizzle Fry', which was released in 1990, 'Sailing the Seas of Cheese', which was released in 1991, 'Pork Soda', which was released in 1993, and 'Tales from the Punchbowl', which was released in 1995.

noticed on this extended lptv from summer sanitarium (checked the old upload as well from 15 or so years ago) you can actually hear lost playing in background from 2:18 so we have had clip of it for years lol

Have you not seen this topic, lol?

  17. Does anyone know the origins of the P_WESTON, NIN_BLUE, NIN_CRAK, DEFTKICR, and OUTKAST_ samples, which come from the Xero Current folder?

Also, does anyone know the origins of the LIMPKICK sample, which comes from the NewFinishesA folder?

I've been try to figure out where these samples originate from with no luck.

Edit: I commented on a couple YouTube videos of Closer from Nine Inch Nails a year ago asking if there were any Nine Inch Nails experts there on YouTube. A couple different people replied back to me saying that there were or maybe were. I just recently replied back with a link to the NIN_BLUE and NIN_CRAK samples. I'm awaiting an answer at the moment. I will edit this when I get an answer.
