  1. In terms of the Linkin Park songs, I would want multitracks/stems of the songs we don't have multitracks/stems for.

I'm mainly talking about these songs:

    • "With You" (we have the concert stems for this song, but they are not the full stems)
    • "Points Of Authority" (we have the concert stems for this song, but they are not the full stems)
    • "Cure for the Itch" (the stems that exist are fanmade, iirc)
    • "A Place for My Head" (I'm honestly shocked that the stems for this song haven't leaked yet, considering how much of a fan favorite this song is)
    • "Don't Stay"
    • "Lying from You" (we do have stems of this song, but the vocals that is a part of the stems don't include the bridge screams from Chester)
    • "Hit the Floor"
    • "Easier to Run"
    • "Faint" (we have the concert stems for this song, but they are not the full stems)
    • "Figure.09"
    • "From the Inside" (Again, I'm shocked that the stems for this song haven't leaked yet, but in this case, it's considering the fact that the song was released as a single)
    • perhaps "Session" (I don't think that would be done, considering it's an instrumental, but, then again, we have some of the concert stems for "Tinfoil", so, who knows)
    • perhaps "Wake" (again, I don't think that would be done, but, then again, who knows)
    • "Hands Held High" (we have the some of the multitracks for this song, but they are not the full multitracks)
    • "No More Sorrow" (we have the some of the multitracks for this song, but they are not the full multitracks)
    • "Valentine's Day"
    • "In Between" (we have the acapella, but that's currently the only multitrack that we have of the multitracks)
    • "In Pieces"
    • "The Little Things Give You Away"

As for the other songs from Living Thing and The Hunting Party that we don't the full stems for or stems at all, I honestly don't really care for those, but would still be cool to get those, too.

    DVD 1:

Summer Sonic 2006: Tokyo (Full Show)

    DVD 2:

Rock Am Ring 2007 (Full Show)

    DVD 3:

Clarkston 2007 (The super high quality version that LP Kazakhstan put on YouTube, Full Show)

    DVD 4:

Madison Square Garden 2008 (Full Show) (Need to have a show that captures the winter 2008 touring for the album IMO and this is a great one to choose, big show for the band and a great set with My December, A Place For My Head and the Jay-Z features)

    DVD 5:

Munchen 2008 (We don’t need Milton Keynes on DVD since we get the audio version as a CD and besides this was a huge show for the band with a good set. Was gonna choose Berlin but we have Reading My Eyes here)

    DVD 6:

Making Of Minutes To Midnight (Extended cut shown in theaters during the Webster Hall event in 2007)

    +

Little movie using LPTV and LPUTV from the era including footage from PR07, PR08 and others, maybe 2 hours worth

    Art:

Lithograph of the band at the Salton Sea, maybe an unused shot of the band

Lithograph of the band outside of the Houdini House or inside it, either one, maybe a shot we don’t have yet

Art used from the 2007 book with the lyrics and photos, etc.

Maybe some photos of the band in the studio from both the Korn studio and the Houdini House

EDIT: Many will notice that I decided to keep various things off of the release because it would be simply too much. Didn’t feel the need to add the whole Milton Keynes show since it wouldn’t fit on one CD. Didn’t feel the need to include the SoHo EP because I feel like that’s an Apple exclusive. Didn’t feel the need to include LPU 7 since we got Clarkston in full as a DVD and it was a lot of tracks to take up. Kept mmm…cookies off just because I feel like it doesn’t really belong. Kept PR08 off as a DVD because I’d rather have Summer Sonic 2006 over it and plus we got audio versions of Hunger Stike and Crawling with Chris on the CD’s.

You forgot about "Fire In The City". Also, you forgot about the Chester demo version of "In Between", which is the same case as Patients (No Roads Left).

About the multitracks itd be up to each producer to share, in this case DirtyBlup!

I don't know how I'd be able to contact him, lol. I don't think he has an account on LPLive, and I don't know where else he'd have an account (maybe YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, perhaps, but I don't know if he has accounts there). I could check, though.

Edit: He has a YouTube account. I commented on the "Echo In The Way" video about it.

Edit 2: He replied back to me. This was his reply:

yes, if the other guys will agree, maybe we could post them

Thats cool of you! i think LPLive or is fine and credit LP songs used on tracks

Im editor there so i can verify what you make

There are some tracks that have multiple artists that remixed them. How would I put them in? Do I put them in as one artist or do I put one of the artists in the main one and the other/others in the featured?

This thing is not even out but you guys should do an EP with the Lost Demos remixes.

    1 More The Victim

    2 Fighting Myself

    3 Healing Foot

    4 Massive

    5 Resolution/Lost

Day One includes the first verse of "Resolution". I'm pretty positive it got name off the "bringing you back to day one" line in "Resoultion".

Also, there is a Lost remix included in the Refraction remix album.

I will admit, it would be cool for them if they could remix some of the other Lost Demos, such as the songs you mentioned, and maybe even "Wesside" too. Maybe they could do it as a small part 2 EP of sorts.

And even though it's most likely long overdue, they could probably do the same with Hybrid Theory, as well as some of the Forgotten Demos from Hybrid Theory 20 (like a 2nd Reanimation) [though wouldn't the Meteora remixes that Linkin Park originally created back in the day (that are still unreleased) be a Reanimation part 2?].

  6. I just recently saw an Instagram post that he put up earlier this year that I completely missed, saying that the album is going to be released by the end of the year with weekly updates of pics and videos in the studio working on the album. I haven't seen anything yet recently about it, though.

Not leaked, but I think the acapella from HHH was likely created from multitracks.

I have not heard anything about In Between or In Pieces though.

I found an acapella of "In Between" on VK. I don't know where they got it from, but it sounds like it's the real deal. I don't think I can share a link to the acapella, but here's a video I just uploaded with the acapella:

    Thanks man!

Djzap did an amazing one in 2020 or 2021 that's not instrumental, but rather the verses and bridge of the Xero tape version with the HT instrumental and I believe some Runaway samples. I don't know if it is still around but you should definietly check it out if you like to imagine a Xero version. Sounds like the perfect Stick'N'Move to me. It's way better than my edit IMO.

I found the topic with DJZap's version of "Stick N Move":

If someone could add guitars in Stick N Move, I think we would get a Xero version of it. It does sound similar to Xero tape version, but there are also some similarities with HT version. I love it.

Which guitars? The ones from the 1997 Xero demo version with Mark or the 1999/2000 Hybrid Theory demo version with Chester?

I’m gonna post one more time the full Meteora board of songs and the demo titles each song goes to cause why not. Just to show again the 18 total demos LP had in the final process of making Meteora.

    1. Cumulus - a demo from LPU13, which ended up receiving a basically finished version with full vocals but left off the album, “More the Victim”. Ended up sounding a bit too far from the rest of the songs for the bands liking for being on the album at the time.

    2. Interrogation - the working title to the album track “Easier to Run”, unknown until Meteora 20 release.

    3. Cuidado - the demo for “Lying from You” on the album. Confirmed in a Mike Shinoda live in April 2021.

    4. (BLANK SPACE) - likely the “Healing Foot” demo. The original clip of Rob recording drums for this song in the Making of Meteora DVD, and the only finished track done being drums, almost guarantees this was that demo, and it didn’t make it as far as the others.

    5. Pretty Birdie - demo version of album track and single “Somewhere I Belong” originally released in LPU13. Title seemed to have slightly changed from “Pretty Birdy”, maybe because Phoenix plays golf, though that’s just a wild guess.

    6. Shifter - one of two titles shown in a 2003 spin magazine about recording Meteora. It turned out to be the working title for the album track and single “From the Inside”. The instrumental demo was heard in Making of Meteora and LPTV 1 Episode 1.

    7. (originally thought to be Serpent/Quotient) Shortcut - demo title for a 90% completed song not on the album, “Fighting Myself”. Demo version was heard in a short 4 second clip in the LPTV 1 episode 1.

    8. Nocturnal - the second title shown in the same 2003 spin magazine about recording Meteora. Confirmed at Meteora 20 Working title for “Nobody’s Listening”, which made the album.

    9. Session - Session.

    10. Resolution - demo title for “Lost”, the “Thoughts That Take Away My Pride” song shown in making of Meteora DVD. Song was completed with the 12 album tracks, and got mixed by Andy, but was removed when the tracklist took shape in mastering. Early demo version on Meteora 20 was used for the joke “Wizard Song” in the same DVD.

    11. Faint - Song on the album and popular single always kept its working title.

    12. Sick - demo title for “Don’t Stay”, on the album. A demo we’ve known about, that originally had a reggae-style vibe. Demo is not unearthed yet.

    13. Plaster II - A demo of the album song Figure.09. This version might have had singing verses while recording at NRG studios. Another (likely earlier) version of this demo was heard in LPTV 1 Episode 4, with Brad ripping a guitar solo then pretending to be frozen.

    14. (originally thought to be Nursery/Hearsay) Husky - working title for the album track “Hit the Floor”. Unknown until Meteora 20.

    15. Drawing - demo title for the album track and single “Breaking the Habit”, that originally appeared on LPU9.

    16. Figure.09 - Merged with Plaster II to become the final version of the song.

    tracks not on the board

    17. Numb - final song on the album, and most popular single came together “quickly and almost effortlessly” at NRG studios, which might explain it not being up on the board, it got finished, at least instrumentally, earlier that the other songs. The official working title is unknown still, but it’s also possible it never had one or was always “Numb”, if that lyric was written early on.

    18. A.06 - we know the short instrumental was recorded at NRG studios, though its intent was likely just to serve as an album promo, as it was released while the album was being recorded. Maybe the track was gonna serve as an intro at one point. Nevertheless, it was a demo that got shortened from a full song demo to a short instrumental in the final process.

I'm really curious on what the working title for "Numb" is (if it has a working title), because we don't know what the working titles are for that song and "Foreword" (which I doubt has a working title, but you never know [it probably kept it's working title, if I had to guess]).

really wonder how step up and carousel from the nov. 1998 CD sounds, maybe there are the same as the ones on the EP but then why is kyle credited there then?

I wonder that too, but I also wonder, since those two songs date back to the Xero era, why wasn't Mark credited as a writer on the later versions of those songs? ("Carousel" [HT EP], "Step Up" [HT EP], "Step Up" [1999 Demo] (B-Side Rarities), and "Carousel" [Demo])

  12. 2 hours ago, lpliveusername said:

We discussed it in the LPLive group and came to the same conclusion. A lot of people here seem to think the same too. I guess that settles it. The versions of Esaul (from LPU Rarities), Pictureboard (from Forgotten Demos) and Rhinestone (LPU Rarities) with Chester were all recorded with Phoenix, not Kyle. He surely played those songs at rehearsals, showcases and live shows, just not in the studio versions on HT20, which is what he is claiming.

Are there any songs without live bass that I left out of my list? Dedicated? She Couldn't? Step Up? We were told at least the verses of Carousel is all synth instead of live bass, not sure about the rest of the song.

Would "Slip" be in the same boat as "Esaul", "Pictureboard" and "Rhinestone"?

  13. 1 hour ago, LPsMart said:

Mark vs Chester in terms of instrumentals:

Esaul, Pictureboard and Forgotten share the same instrumental with little tweaks in vocal/instrumental ratio. Those three, I believe, were from the Instrumental tape Chester got.

As for the other three we have nothing to compare them with. There's also either Part of Me or Step Up (can't remember, most likely the latter) on a Xero CD. Also I remember Slip (with Mark) was on a Hybrid Theory Demo, but I'm not sure. This would be a hint on how long the Xero song stuck around.

My theory is that Slip and Stick'N'Move were recorded alongside the tracks from the audition tape, with Stick'N'Move having evolved to the instrumental we hear on Chester's version. I even think (depending on whether it was a 3-Track or 4-Track tape they sent Chester) SnM on HT20 could have been from the audition demo as well as the three mentioned above.

If we add Carousel and possibly Part of Me (or whatever song I can't remember) to this session, they might have used those instrumentals for the 7/8/9-tracks as well.

The other song was "Step Up", not "Part Of Me".

So here's what he is claiming he played on:

    Hybrid Theory EP
    1. Carousel
    2. Technique (Short) No live bass
    3. Step Up
    4. And One
    5. High Voltage
    6. Part Of Me

    B-Side Rarities
    7. Step Up (1999 Demo) Exactly the same as the Hybrid Theory EP version

    LPU Rarities
    1. In The End (Demo) Different bass line from the album version
    2. Dedicated (1999 Demo)
    7. Esaul ("A Place For My Head" Demo)
    13. Forgotten (Demo)
    14. Sad ("By Myself" Demo 1999) No live bass
    16. Blue (1998 Unreleased Hybrid Theory Demo) Actually from 1999
    17. Chair (1999 "Part of Me" Demo) No live bass

    Forgotten Demos
    2. Pictureboard
    3. She Couldn't
    4. Could Have Been
    6. Rhinestone (Xero Demo) Recorded in 1998 with Mark Wakefield and Dave Farrell
    7. Esaul (Xero Demo) Recorded in 1998 with Mark Wakefield and Dave Farrell
    8. Stick N Move (Demo)
    9. Carousel (Demo)
    10. Points Of Authority (Demo)
    11. Crawling (Demo)
    12. SuperXero (By Myself Demo)

Keep in mind that Kyle joined the band in early 1999, before Chester. The earliest demo recorded with Chester on vocals mentioned in Jeff Blue's book dates from May 1999 and included (among other songs) Blue, Could Have Been, Rhinestone ("Forgotten" demo), Esaul and Pictureboard. Another demo from the end of May 1999 included "Untitled (It Doesn't Matter)" ("In The End" demo) and a demo called "Flower" which, according to Jeff, became She Couldn't.

They entered the studio with Andrew Murdock to record the Hybrid Theory EP in June 1999.

Jeff's book also mentions a 9-track demo CD dating from the week of August 16, 1999 which included versions of Untitled ("In The End" demo), Points Of Authority, Super Xero and "I Hate You/Crawling" (same version included in the Forgotten Demos disc). Kyle was only fired from the band around October 1999 when they had secured (but not yet signed) the deal with Warner.

And here's what Kyle left out:

    LPU Rarities
    5. Points Of Authority (Demo) Earlier version when compared to the Forgotten Demos version
    9. Slip (1998 Unreleased Hybrid Theory Demo) Actually from 1999
    11. So Far Away (Unreleased 1998) Actually from 1999

Frat Party At The Pankake Festival
    Esaul (1999) Unlisted easter egg

Originally released on LPU Eleven, Mike's notes about Slip said that this recording of the song originated from the same batch of songs as Blue and that they were among the first songs recorded with Chester. So Far Away has vocals by Chester, so it can't be from 1998.

The rehearsal video of Esaul shows the band performing a version of the song very similar to the Xero version, so it must had been filmed right after Chester joined the band. While some of the band members are out of frame in the video, the bass player can only be Kyle.

The way I see it, both statements are true. lol

Listen to our interview. He didn't even know Linkin Park had been releasing demos he recorded with them for 20 years. lol

Did Kyle truly play on the Hybrid Theory demo of "Stick N Move"? I always thought that that specific demo dates back to March 2000, based off the notes from Rob Bourdon about it in Hybrid Theory 20 book.

    Quote

"When we finally had the chance to go into the studio in early 2000, I think we had 2 weeks to track all the instruments for vocals. (It may have been shorter.) There was a song that we all wanted to let go of called Stick N Move. Our producer Don Gilmore insisted we keep the track. He kept on saying that there was something great about it and asked us to please just try recording it. We recorded just the instrumental and left it with Mike and Chester to rewrite the melody and lyrics and that song became Runaway."

Not only that, but there's also the fact that "Stick N Move" is listed twice as a part of the songs that Rob tracked drums for at NRG from March 14-17 in 2000 in Jeff Blue's 'One Step Closer: From Xero To #1: Becoming Linkin Park' book.

March 2000 would have been 5 months after Kyle was fired from the band (around October 1999).

Exactly. We want LPU23 CD with more Meteora demos. I believe there is a long version of A.15

Lol, if you would be concerned with wanting to get a new LPU CD with Meteora demos, I would look forward to getting these songs:

    • A full version of "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" ("Lost" 2002 Demo)
    • "Sick" ("Don't Stay" 2002 Demo)
    • "Plaster II" ("Figure.09" 2002 Demo) [Alternate Rap Verses]
    • "Figure.09" (Singing Verses Demo Version)
    • "Nocturnal" ("Nobody's Listening" 2002 Demo)
    • "Shortcut" ("Fighting Myself" 2002 Demo)
    • A demo of "Numb" (if such a thing exists)
    • A different demo version of "A6" with Chester's vocals
    • "Program" (Bass Solo Alternate Demo Version)
    • Maybe some more developed versions of the Meteora era instrumentals with vocals (similar to the "Cumulus"/"More the Victim" situation), such as "Soundtrack", "Ominous", "Pepper", "Program", "Unfortunate", "Halo", and "Rhinocerous".

I hope he will release some of the demos because it looks like he maybe don't have time or he have forgot on it.

Actually, in my eyes, it would be a smart idea to put out the stuff from his vault sometime next month, before Christmas, so we could get all that stuff as like an early Christmas present of sorts.
