Can easily be a demo from years back very similar to WAYW. I think before the year ends we will see the song somehow. Doubt the band is going to ever release anything from the vaults again with Chester. Seems like they didn't want to do that in the 2 + years since Chester died. Maybe we will get a Greatest Hits from the band but I don’t think we will get unreleased songs with Chester. I remember a few months ago or something I said that they should do a ‘’B-Side Album’’ like a 14 track album taking 2 unreleased complete songs from each album (they have way more than that). The Used did this years back, they released an album with a couple B-Sides from each album.

When I think of Scott Stapp this is what I envision all of his music sounds like.

Who cares

No truer thing regarding Geki has ever been said.

We knew about it since 2008. Band wanted to play it during the encore but ultimately didn’t like the way it sounded and I think Mike didn’t feel fully comfortable doing it. Could have done a nice version with Chester on vocals though, would have been cool.

Good post but I would have left out some such as Asbestos and Debris as they are unfinished as hell or tracks that weren’t necessarily LP songs.

Lol that's fuckin' awesome.

Never been a fan of Christian butt rock.

I don’t think I could ever bring myself to listen to something from Scott Stapp.

Well the one on lpbits has these problems and I thought they were the same as the ones here. They definitely do have the problems in the lpbits one.

Actually some of the DSP’s are shitty. Imola 2011 specifically. It has this weird pause between each track that’s like half a second and it’s annoying AF. I downloaded the show elsewhere from another person’s DSP’s and it didn’t have that issue. plus a lot of these are altered. Like SOTD from San Bernardino 2007 has it’s genre listed as alternative in iTunes and yet no other file or DSP has a genre. Virginia Beach 2007 has multiples for most tracks and some are lower quality. Tons of stuff.

The one he played in 2005 for Katrina was probably one of his all time best performances of his entire life. It’s a shame what DBS ended up becoming.

So Chester’s anniversary is coming up and I’ve been listening to a bunch of stuff lately. And I keep listening to Let Down. It really is an amazing song. I already loved it since the first time that I heard it but for some reason it seems even more epic now. The 2005 acoustic one that he played on TV in 2005 is simply amazing. The demo version is probably my favorite version of it, the one that was leaked last year. The studio version is good too but I like the earlier renditions. Either way, no matter what version you like, it’s a great song. And I think it was one of those songs that Chester wrote that was really close to his heart. You can hear the pain and emotion in his voice. It’s sad but you can also hear a sense of anger in it, even though he sings it beautifully. It’s really an amazing song. It’s also underrated as hell, I feel like. Only hardcore fans of Chester know it. I bet some LP fans don’t even know it, or know about the 2005 version, etc.

Ahh, of course. I think LPL knows the history of the band more than anyone out there, including the band.
-
For anyone who has this...is there anything ''new''? I mean I think I know the story of the band's career as do most fans on LPL. But maybe there is some info previously unknown.

Anything involving the actual band members should always list Chester, IMO, especially on a fansite. The try the ketchup stuff was already created for merch by LPA years back. I think album art for each album (there is tons that even the band never used for each album) and maybe song titles, idk. It's tricky. I've bought merch in the past that wasn't official and it was some of my favorite merch that I ever owned. I bought a black zip up hoodie with the MTM LP logo in yellow on the lower back and wore that for years. I hate buying from the official site because I am a big guy and they only go up to 2XL, and they are tiny 2XL's. So I like to buy other merch sometimes because it's bigger and also because it looks cooler sometimes honestly.

So anyone know when this plans on dropping? They've been promoting it since like 2017.

Anyone have a MEGA link for this audio rip? Google Drive barely works on my computer.

Well either way, I really like that song a lot. The lyrics are great, the vocals are great, the instrumentation is great. One More Light is also a great song in that regard. While it's more stripped down, the lyrics are great and Chester brings it with his vocals. The stuff that I don't really care for on the album are songs like Good Goodbye (very corny song IMO and the guest features are horrible), Heavy (don't like the sound of the song at all and don't like Kiiara's feature), Sorry For Now (had a lot of potential but the music is what really killed the song IMO, as well as Chester's verse, Mike's vocals and lyrics sang by him aren't that bad), Sharp Edges (is a tad cheesy, especially the ''what doesn't kill us makes us stronger'' cliche lyric). I also don't like Halfway Right at all, sounds like an unfinished demo and there's nothing that I really like about the song, don't care for the vocals, lyrics or music. Invisible is also one that I can't stand because it's overly cheesy. I know Mike wrote it for his kids but it's just not for me. Talking To Myself is also just cheesy. It's really the choruses in that song that I hate. The verses and intro, etc. are decent.

In your opinion. Heavy and a bunch of other songs on the record feel that way to me. I love NCSM, even though it's pure pop, but it's done in a better way compared to other tracks on the record. OML is a good song as well. The rest are pretty much just pure pop with a lot of cringe worthy moments. I can listen to the record and mildly enjoy all of it but I do feel those criticisms when I do listen to it.

I saw Iridescent in Boston in 2018 and it sounded A+ to me.

Yeah I agree.

Yeah honestly Dan is just as good of a drummer as Rob and Matt is just as good of a guitar player as Brad. And most guitar players can play bass by default so he’s probably as good as Phoenix, too. I know that the die-hard LP fans seem to think that Brad and Rob, etc. are these godlike musicians and they are the absolute best but it’s not the case. Mike is super unique at what he does and you won’t likely find someone like him. Chester, nobody has a voice and stage presence like him. But the other members of the band really are pretty basic. And I’m not even saying it’s a bad thing. They are good at what they do. But there are other musicians out there who can play as good as them and some better. Sorry.

Dan and Matt are just as good as the members of LP, it not better, honestly. The trio of Mike, Dan and Matt would be a great band if Mike wanted it to be. Just saying. It’s awesome Mike took Don Broco out for support once again too. Love Don Broco.

True but LP wasn’t a bubblegum pop act back then like they were in 2017. And Machine Gun Kelly might possibly be the worst musical artist of all time.
